Ferndale Falls Forever #4

Wedding the Werepanther

Rate this book
One matchmaking sentient house + one gorgeous werepanther roommate = one helluva surprise wedding!

When I inherited the sprawling purple Victorian, I knew it used to be a wedding chapel. What I didn’t know is that my magic would make the house sentient... or that it longed for the days of bridal veils and tossed bouquets.

It locks me in with Shadow and refuses to set us free until I marry the gorgeous werepanther!

Okay, no prob. As a gamer girl, I know how to get out of sticky situations. We’ll wed to make the house happy and immediately annul.

Only, our magical marriage binds us together for a full month, and if we consummate, it’s permanent.

Worse? The house keeps arranging romantic dates, and the irresistible Shadow plays along way too enthusiastically. If he touches me and growls, “My wife,” one more time, I might scream.

Or kiss him, or more…

Wedding the Werepanther is a cozy spicy fantasy romance featuring a primal werepanther who’s too charming for his own good, a sassy witch who’s a gamer girl, a sweet mini-dragon familiar, and a mutual obsession with games all set in a matchmaking sentient house.

Welcome to Ferndale Falls, the magical small town full of mischievous imps and talking animal familiars, where heart-melting romance, toe-curling spice, humor, magic, and low-stakes adventure combine into stories you’ll devour.

Krista Luna always delivers the coziest, funniest, and spiciest paranormal romcoms, and every return to Ferndale Falls feels like coming home. Shadow and Kayla’s story is whimsical, heartfelt, and absolutely irresistible.

The premise alone had me hooked: a magical house insists its owner get married—not once, but three times. Thankfully, they’re all fake… as long as the marriage isn’t consummated. The chaos that follows is every bit as entertaining as it sounds.

Kayla has been existing a bit on the edges of the Ferndale Falls world, battling social anxiety and struggling a little to forge deep connections. Watching her slowly build genuine friendships with the Witch Bitches has been one of my favorite parts of the book and series. She’s incredibly kind, brilliantly talented as a video game designer, and impossible not to root for.

Shadow completely stole my heart. As he gains more experience living in his human form, his playful, flirty personality shines. The problem? He constantly frames everything between him and Kayla as a game, making it hard to know if he’s joking or being completely sincere. He’s insanely charming, capable, has a perfectly filthy mouth when the moment calls for it, and I loved every second of him.

The found family in this series continues to be one of my favorite aspects. The Witch Bitches are friendship goals, and the familiars are so adorable they nearly steal the entire show. Dewdrop had my whole heart 🥹💜.

Beyond the laughs, chemistry, and sizzling romance, I loved the themes of choice, family, and finding where you truly belong. And the way Shadow responds to Kayla during one of her most vulnerable moments? Absolute perfection. It was tender, meaningful, and he didn’t miss a beat. It’s one of my favorite scenes in the book.

This story was everything I hoped it would be and more. I loved every magical, hilarious, heartwarming moment, and I already can’t wait to see which Ferndale Falls couple gets their happily ever after next.

Special thanks to the author for the gifted copy 💜

I absolutely adored the cozy feels of this book! I have to say, I this is definitely my favorite from Ferndale Falls so far. I absolutely loved how Shadow was so far gone for Kayla and I loved how relatable Kayla’s personality was. I absolutely adored this ride. And I legit cried when she met Dewdrop. Favorite familiar.

You may have met sentient houses, but you have not met he sulky Victoria! She was fantastic and I loved Kayla’s magic! I also loved how Shadow’s personality mirrored the classic cat personality traits. It was so funny!

This next installment in the Ferndale Falls series was SO CUTE! Shadow finally got his own book and I was kicking my feet the whole time 🤭 I loved Kayla, I loved that she created video games and was unashamedly herself 💜 I related to her anxiety over people and not being enough, but I am glad she had her friends and Shadow to remind her that she was more than enough AND badass. I can't wait to return to this world!

I seriously adore this series, and this installment was definitely another cozy & magical addition.
Shadow has officially claimed the title of my favorite MMC in the Ferndale Falls Forever series. He's cocky, confident, endlessly charming, and underneath all that swagger is a man who absolutely adores his family and isn't afraid to show his affection for Kayla. I was *swooning*.

I also found myself relating to Kayla so much. As a fellow gamer with some social anxiety, she felt incredibly authentic, and the specific references made me ridiculously happy. Those little nods had me smiling.

Victoria, the sentient house, was both hilarious and exasperating. She was such a brat, but it makes perfect sense when you remember she's essentially a magical child who's only recently become aware. And Dewdrop? That tiny dragonet familiar completely stole my heart. SO cute!

One of my favorite parts of the book was all the different dates and weddings. They were so much fun and added to the romance in unique ways. Honestly... they kind of made me want another wedding of my own.

The romance was sweet, believable, and full of chemistry. Kayla initially worrying that Shadow was just in it for the chase, made their relationship feel more earned later on.

Shadow's interactions with his family were another highlight. Their immediate acceptance of Kayla was heartwarming and added even more to the cozy small-town vibes that makes this series so addictive.

And the spice definitely delivers. I loved how creative they got while trying to avoid magically binding themselves forever, and Shadow's complete openness to embracing toys made those scenes even more fun.

If you love cozy fantasies in magical small towns, gamer girl heroines, plenty of humor, and spicy monster romance with heart, you need to visit Ferndale Falls.

This book has been long anticipated and it didn’t disappoint! Fans of Krista’s Ferndale Falls Forever universe have been waiting for it since Shadow was first introduced several books (and technically, a whole series) ago. (I remember being in the crowd of early readers begging Krista for Shadow’s book, back before Shadow had come to earth in his fae form lol)

We all fell in love with his snappy snark and witty banter with the orcs and unicorns of Faerie, and I feel like we get that quick wit here but Shadow is much softer, much more human in Wedding the Werepanther, and it was a welcome surprise. He was cocky and self-assured still, as a cat would be, but we got to see his softer edges and the motivations behind the way he acts and appears. 🥹 And thats something I always enjoy in Krista’s books, the depth of character that we get. 🥰 Not only do we get these incredibly swoon-worthy, filthy-mouthed males that make our toes curl, we go on these mini soul journeys with them; exploring the extents of their emotional intelligence and unpacking their baggage together, making them even more irresistible in their imperfections.

And speaking of imperfections, our sweet heroine was worried she was full of them! 🥺 But I have to say, Kayla is definitely one of my favorite FMCs that Krista has given us. Her social anxiety, her fears about not deserving love and happiness, her abandonment issues and issues with being controlled/not given choices, her intimacy issues that stemmed from her experiences with men… she was incredibly relatable and real. And the way she addressed those things as they came up, both on her own and with Shadow, were real too. There were no magical fixes, no instantly better, no love cures all. Shadow doesn’t expect Kayla’s hang ups to go away the second he declares his interest in her, and he helps her with the things that are out of her control (like Victoria); he meets her where she is at and loves her for exactly who she is, not who she could be. I find their connection especially sweet because of his patience and understanding, and his strong desire to not only understand Kayla but to help her be happy and comfortable, and most importantly, to feel safe. That desire for safety is the most relatable part of this whole book and that’s what made this one close to my heart. 🥹💙

I’m also not a kid person, but I LOVED the werekittens (and the way Shadow was with them). It made me happy to see the way Kayla, much like myself IRL, treated them with autonomy and like real, living people. Not moldable minis to control or do whatever with. I like Mist and Moonlight’s characters for similar reasons, they were great role models and I wish I had had more adults like the werepanther clan in my life growing up. 🥹 Dewdrop was my favorite supporting character though, which comes as no surprise to me, because the animal sidekicks always are. 💙 The little dragonet stole my heart though, and I kind of hope that he gets to remain the only one because he’s so dang special. (I also hope that we get more cameos of him in later books) Victoria… I appreciated her place in the story but I can’t say I liked her (which is a first) and I felt like she was the only character that really needed to grow/change but didn’t really at all. I understood why she was the way she was, but I hated the way Kayla had to compromise and push down her own traumas for the house. Not every character is going to be for every reader though, and it wasn’t like she wasn’t well written because she was (she obviously invoked some strong feelings in me lol). She was aptly named for a house, too lol.

This has gotten a little long, so I’m going to wrap it up by saying that there were a lot of little unexpected surprises in this one that I think a lot of people will enjoy (especially if you’re someone that enjoys playful partners in and out of the bedroom, and toys as an asset, not an adversary). There are also plenty of old friends (Jace & Luke, Naomi, Hannah, and more) and favorite Ferndale Falls places visited (pizza pixies!), for those that are craving their cozy small-town fix. 🥰

I can’t wait to visit Ferndale Falls again! Thank you, Krista for the advanced copy! It was a pleasure to read for you, as always 💙

Kayla is absolutely amazing! She’s kind, caring, fierce and sassy. And she’s an incredibly talented and creative game designer. Even more, I loved her sarcasm and the fact that, despite her social anxiety, she had the courage to face anything thrown her way. Kayla is such a lovely and relatable woman and I adored her so, so much!

And then, there’s Shadow - the mischievous and cocky cat sith who will steal anyone’s heart with his charm. Shadow is flirty, confident, fun and, often, it seems that everything for him is a game he plays to win. But underneath all that, is a caring, thoughtful, patient, loyal male who’s actually trying to figure out his place in the world. And that filthy mouth of his! Shadow is one irresistible cat sith and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!

I absolutely loved everything that happened between Kayla and Shadow! Shadow’s been yearning after Kayla for more than a year, and now that she’s in the lookout for roommates, he seizes the opportunity to get close to her. What neither of them could've expected was Kayla’s sentient house - Victoria, to lock them in and refuse to set them free until they are married…

I adored Shadow and Kayla together! Their banters, teasing and light bickerings were so fun and every moment they spent together was an absolute delight to read. Even more, I loved all the ways Shadow showed Kayla that she’s truly cherished and fits in exactly as she was. And the more time they spent together, the more Kayla saw the incredible male Shadow truly is. (Shadow thirst trapping was definitely not on my bingo list, but what else could’ve I expected from a cat sith?! 10 out of 10!) And the more time they spent in each other’s company, the more their bond grew and when those two finally gave into the undeniable attraction… oh, it was hot AF and I couldn’t get enough of all the naughty delight. Kayla and Shadow were absolutely perfect for each other and I couldn’t be happier that they found happiness and love together!

In addition, I loved everything about the storyline! A matchmaking sentient house, the super awesome witches from the Witch B!tch Book Club always being there to support, an adorable mini-dragon familiar who will steal your heart, baby cat siths that are the cutest things ever, chaos, fun, magical mishaps… Everything about this story made me love the series even more!

Overall, Wedding the Werepanther is another magical, hilarious and absolutely swoony addition to the series!

I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!

I received this advance review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

OMG this is my favorite book out of all of them so far!

I love Shadow with all my heart, he is so freaking sweet and sassy. I adore his cat nature and how playful he is 24/7, but he also has a cuddly caring side to him too that balances out his competitive nature and love of the hunt. He always puts the needs of the people he loves before himself. Don't hurt someone he cares for, revenge will be brutal. He is very much a cat in every way you can possibly be.

I love Kayla just as much. She has been abused and hurt her whole life, but works hard to keep going and thrive. She puts in the work to overcome the past trauma and things like social anxiety. Of the witches so far, I think her magic is the weakest, and we see less of it in action overall aside from Victoria's shenanigans. It's less of an issue with magic constantly backfiring like being stuck in a book, or granting random wishes. I would have loved to see a lot more random objects come to life and cause chaos! It is still an awesome power, and I can see some really interesting used for it in the future.

Victoria is amazing. I love sentient buildings so much, and her toddler like tantrums are so funny. She finds so many ways to make herself known other than words, with a slightly poltergeist vibe overall. The flapping cabinet doors when she is happy is one of my favorite bits! I love that Shadow is so good with negotiating with her, not unlike you would a little kid. Dewdrop is absolutely adorable, and the dragonet is a perfect addition to the witchy familiars.

The yearning is on point, and the spicy workarounds to get around the contract are so hot. You will need a cold shower to cool down after digging into this book. I also love and appreciate that "toys" are welcomed and enjoyed instead of being shameful too.

I am also happy to see that the newer members of the book club are settling in too, and I can't wait to see who they pair up with in future books. The cameos from past couples were so nice to see, and I love getting little glimpses into how their relationships and families are growing.

Overall this was a fantastic magic filled read, and I can't wait to dig into the next book!

This was a delight from the first page to the last. It had me constantly pausing to savour the story. I laughed, I cried, I squealed, I giggled like a fool. It was an excellent story and I am excited to read it again.

Kayla is a human witch who designs video games.

Shadow is a werepanther who is a messenger between the worlds.

They met when the magical came to her town. She caught his eye but had no idea. Now she is looking for a roommate cuz life be expensive and he does some shenanigans to make himself the best option. And then her now sentient house takes it to the next level and he & she have to be married, not just roommates. And so begins the month of learning, yearning, watching, loophole finding, and thirst traps.

Kayla is the most loveable nerdy geeky woman. She has some very understandable hangups when it comes to love & believing herself worthy of it (her parents are awful). I loved watching her start working through those and allow Shadow into her life & heart. And that she allowed herself the freedom to learn & grow and not be confined by what she thought was true when she learned what actually was.

Shadow is so much deeper than one would expect. He feels & loves so intensely. He is still learning how to be himself and what it means to be all he is in all his forms, but covers up his insecurities & weak points with confidence & smiles. He is everything good & sweet & yummy. And the way he hunts down info in how to do things like woodwork and hottie hot thirst traps? Amazing!

I adored their individual stories and was swooning hard over their love story.

I did receive this as an arc and am beyond grateful. And I can assure you this had zero impact on my shamefully late review.

Krista writes some of my favourite magical stories and I cannot recommend her books enough. The characters connect with my heart & brain, which is my fav combo.

ARC Review

Wedding the Werepanther by Krista Luna is the fourth book in the Ferndale Falls Forever series.

Kayla is an introverted game designer who loves creating and playing video games. She lives in the beautiful Victorian house she inherited from her grandparents, but because it's so large, she needs roommates to help keep it running. The only problem? The house is sentient thanks to Kayla's magical ability to animate objects, and there's also a sneaky werepanther named Shadow who wants her all to himself.

When the house traps them inside and magically binds them in a marriage contract filled with unexpected rules, they discover there's only one way to break it: they must avoid consummating the marriage for an entire month. Sounds simple enough... except it definitely isn't.

This is a steamy paranormal romance you won't want to miss. It features some of my favorite tropes, including **he falls first, forced proximity, trapped together, and opposites attract**.

I loved that the story immediately throws readers into unexpected twists, especially the sentient house, Kayla's unique magical abilities, and the way they're trapped together. The fake dating and accidental marriage elements were so entertaining, and I really enjoyed watching Kayla and Shadow bond over video games and their heartfelt conversations. Their relationship developed naturally, making the romance both sweet and emotional. The steamy scenes were fantastic, and as always, my favorite moments were the ones featuring the familiars and the kids.

If you enjoy steamy paranormal romance with humor, magic, and lovable characters, I definitely recommend picking this one up.

→ “You…” The fire in her eyes dims, replaced by a hesitant look I don’t like nearly as much. Kayla gives an audible swallow. “You’d marry me?”
"How can you doubt it?” I purr. ←

Let me also mention that Victoria and Dewdrop were incredibly strong sentient secondary characters. They both contributed so much to these pages.

If you want a story rich in swoon-worthy romance, lots of laughter, and toe-curling spice, all set against a backdrop of a magical town filled with supernatural creatures, then 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 ought to be your next book to read!

After this book, I think Shadow has become my favorite of all the MMCs in this series. He was truly the perfect book boyfriend: incredibly romantic, deeply caring and affectionate, and unbelievably loyal to his woman! The things he did for Kayla, whew! It was plainly clear how he loved her, and only ever her, from the moment he met her. That's my kind of man!

I adored Kayla, too, for her magic, her quirky personality, and her love of gaming. I empathized with her insecurities and fears, and admired her for her determination to overcome them. With a highly supportive, close-knit group of her friends to back her up, she was definitely in good company! I loved that found-family vibe this book so clearly had espoused. Even the men had their own tight-knit circle - imagine that group being composed of orcs, dragon-, wolf-, and panther shifters! Would that not be a tremendous sight to behold?!

I cannot get enough of Ferndale Falls. Ms. Krista, please keep the series running for as long as you can!

I'm grateful to have been among the early readers of this book by having been granted a free review copy. I give this honest review voluntarily.

I want a Dewdrop so bad 😭💕 a sentient cat size fruit eating Dragonet?! R u kidding me

As far as the story goes (and this is my fault) I was extremely confused by the who’s who. I started with the fourth book and I felt like I was missing a lot of things it wasn’t fluid. I didn’t understand a lot of parts and again it’s my fault. But when you have an interconnected series usually it’s easier to follow or o would have loved a wrap up of the other at the beginning. I’m not interested in orc and such so I don’t want to read the whole thing.

Kayla’s reticence with her anxiety made no sense to me cause she says she’s awkward and doesn’t do people yet has a weekly Meating with friend, wasn’t afraid to go into the other world with Shadow.

I didn’t understand her magic. Making sentient houses and tulips is cute but … really ? That’s all ? Not curious to learn more or try to control it ?

The gaming aspect was supposed to be a big part for her but it ended up being an afterthought. She worked on a project the whole book yet at the end went nowhere. She had a meany guy who was pain in her butt and she was trying to prove him wrong, but we didn’t end up knowing what happened with that situation.

So yeah, overall it was cute. Nothing riveting but a fun read.

I received an advance review copy (ARC) and am sharing my honest, unbiased review.

I always look forward to a visit to Ferndale Falls, and this book was no different.

Magical shenanigans leading to an arranged marriage - a marriage arranged by a sentient house with the emotional maturity of a toddler... What could possibly go wrong?

This was another sweet, loving and low-angst read from Krista Luna in the Ferndale Falls Forever series. Spicy times mixed with wholesome moments, creating another great comfort read.

I found Shadow annoying AF, but grew to love him through his actions - and maybe a bit through his thirst-trapping 😉. Quite a feat from the author, as I'm usually set in my love/hate relationships with characters. But it was clearly the point of view from the author as well.

I found the total loss of agency for Kayla a wee bit triggering at first, but I think that's just my very low tolerance for deception and breach of trust between friendly characters - the character here being a house 😅

This book is for you if you want a low-angst, wholesome story about overcoming insecurities and getting out of your own way to find happiness.

This book altered my brain chemistry! I was giggling and kicking my feet one moment and swooning over something sweet Shadow did the next. The magic is so inventive in this whole series and this book does not disappoint! A sentient house marries them? Yes, please! It was so whimsical the way the house moved photos around to form words and slammed doors when upset. I’ve never seen such a fun sentient house!

Kayla’s such a great character. I related to her so much with how she’s a fantasy geek and a gamer and socially anxious. It was wonderful to see her open up and get closer to her found family.

Shadow’s a lovable charmer who knows he’s gorgeous. He’s also fun loving and dedicated to his family. Him playing with the werekittens was 😍. He’s so caring and sweet with Kayla my heart melted. He helps her gain confidence inside the bedroom and in her friendships.

The spice was spicing! Shadow’s got a filthy mouth in the very best of ways and is willing to use it for dirty talk and more. He’s been yearning so hard he comes in his pants the first time he eats her. That’s the kind of guy I need!

The witchy besties are back and better than ever, helping socially anxious Kayla come out of her shell. The mini-dragon Dewdrop is so sweet I want a dragonet of my own! This is hands down my favorite cozy fantasy series, and I want to move to Ferndale Falls and never return!

This was such a fantastic, cosy, paranormal romance.

Growing up, I had zero interest in getting married, and the only reason my husband and I had our little registry office wedding was because we wanted the security after buying a house. Unlike my peers, I never wanted the big wedding, with a white dress, and having to walk down an aisle with friends and family on either side of me. So had I ended up with Victoria, I would NOT have been a happy bunny!!

Poor Kayla and Shadow, the main characters of this book, have to undergo multiple weddings! Kayla is such a lovely FMC, a witch and game designer, who has been battling social anxiety. Victoria really pushes her way outside her comfort zone, but thankfully she has Shadow, a handsome, playful Werepanther. Unfortunately his species see relationships as a bit of a game to win, which does lead to some tension between the two.

I have to mention Dewdrop, the little dragon familiar, because dang, he quickly stole my heart. His enthusiasm for anything and everything made me smile so much. I'm kinda jealous because I'd love to have such an adorable familiar myself.

If you're after a cosy, good time, with some nice, spicy bits, I can absolutely recommend reading this.

Ever since his first introduction, I have been hoping for Shadow, Ferndale Falls' resident cat sidhe, to get his own book. And with Wedding the Werepanther I finally get to read it!

There's so much to love about the story. A sentient, matchmaking house. A tall, videogame loving FMC. A fun loving, completely smitten MMC. An absolutely adorable dragonet familiar. And a wonderfully supportive found family.

There are some minor miscommunication issues, but they're all due to cultural differences, not Kayla and Shadow refusing to have adult conversations.

Victoria, the sentient house, is a little bit like a spoiled child 😆 She wants everything exactly her way and throws magical temper tantrums when Kayla and/or Shadow deviate from her plans. This causes problems for Kayla since one of the triggers for her anxiety is feeling a loss of control/autonomy.

I really enjoyed the moments when Kayla and Shadow would open up to each other, sharing bits about their pasts that made them who they are today. Even though they were forced together by a magical, wedding obsessed house, their courtship is so sweet (and spicy).

A big thank you to Krista Luna for the opportunity to advance read! 💜

I’m so excited that Shadow finally got his book in the series! He’s been a favorite of mine since I started book 1 and couldn’t wait to see how his story turned out. I was not disappointed at all! I really enjoyed Kayla and Shadow’s dynamic and loved seeing them find the balance. There was minimal miscommunication and not a whole lot of angst, which is what I prefer with a comfy series like this. All the magical elements just made it all the more fun! I loved her familiar and Victoria, the sentient house; as well as Shadows family and seeing more of Faerie. What I love most about this series though is the Witch Bitches. I love the sense of community and family they have; showing up for each other and helping with anything.

Shadow and Kayla’s spicy scenes were also very very fun. We have some primal play, toys, teasing, dirty talk, mutual self play and face sitting. I really enjoyed seeing Kayla come out of her shell, especially during spicy scenes. I loved that she was very open about her anxiety but gradually started to push herself to open up more. What can I say? I love a wedding scene and I love an absolutely devoted man willing to do everything and anything to convince his girl he loves her. This book had that in spades and I had a great time with it!

I was so excited when Shadow and Kayla’s story finally came out. With Krista Luna at the helm, I knew WEDDING THE WEREPANTHER wouldn’t disappoint—after reading Shadow and Kayla’s story, I can safely say it is nothing short of phenomenal. With Shadow being so incredibly . . . ‘humble’ 🤭 it took a while for Kayla to understand him better—he’s been Shadow-ing (get it? 😉) her for a year and knows her very well. I found myself smiling often, cringing only occasionally, swooning regularly, laughing openly, and feeling very hopeful throughout 🖤 I always associate a great getaway with Krista Luna and her extraordinary characters and worlds. Good Stuff.

- Paranormal romance
- Small town romance
- Magical town
- Sentient matchmaking house
- He falls first
- Marriage of convenience

What a clever and original story! I have enjoyed this series, which is set in the small, magical town of Ferndale Falls.

In this story, we meet a new magical being - Victoria, the house. She was a former B&B and wedding chapel. Kayla has recently inherited Victoria and is trying to find roommates to help cover the costs of upkeep on the house.

However, Victoria has other ideas. So does werepanther Shadow.

Shadow has been intrigued by Kayla for a while and finds the opportunity to stay with her irresistable. Kayla feels differently. She is so attracted to Shadow, but doesn't want to get involved. But Victoria takes over, locking both Shadow and Kayla in the house until they agree to get married, as well as a few other tasks related to love (dates, hosting weddings, etc). Kayla thinks they can just pretend to get married, but Victoria is w1ly and has a bunch of fine print in her contract...

This was such a fun r0mp of a book. Plenty of quirkiness...and loads of sp1ce!

I was so thrilled to jump back into this world, and Shadow and Kayla had me hooked almost immediately. Their banter from the beginning was so much fun, and I loved watching their relationship develop from there.

Kayla’s magic was one of my favorite parts of this story, but I think I might love Victoria, the sentient house, even more. 😂 The dynamic between Victoria, Kayla, and Shadow was ridiculously sweet. There were so many moments where they felt like their own little unconventional family, and I ate it up.

And Shadow… 🫠 Once again, these male main characters are written SO WELL. They might be dangerous supernatural creatures, but when it comes to their women? Absolute goners. Shadow is no exception. I love a man who is completely smitten, protective, and all-in, and watching him fall for Kayla gave me exactly what I wanted.

There was plenty happening outside of the romance to keep me invested too, but it was really the characters and their relationships that made this one for me. The humor, the banter, the magic, the found-family feeling—and a man who will absolutely catch his woman when she falls. ❤️

Shadow is so much fun! He's anything but humble, but he's also charming, playful, and incredibly sweet. Kayla is smart, sassy, and uses sarcasm as a shield to avoid getting hurt—she doesn't trust Shadow's intentions when it comes to courting her. He calls it a game, and she refuses to be played.

I loved every interaction between the two of them—their chemistry is off the charts. Shadow growling "my wife" one moment and revealing his soft heart and thoughtfulness the next had me giggling and kicking my feet. Kayla's tiny dragon familiar is an adorable scene-stealer, and the way their friends step in to guide and assist Shadow and Kayla's romance is genuinely heartwarming.

Wedding the Werepanther is filled with all the cozy charm and warmth I've come to expect from a visit to Ferndale Falls: sweet romance, a swoonworthy MMC, a smart and sassy FMC, found family, and plenty of humor. Ferndale Falls feels like a place you actually want to live.

- I read an advanced copy and I am leaving an honest review.

Okay, this was such a cute and cozy read! Wedding the Werepanther by Krista Luna follows Kayla, a witch, and Shadow, a werepanther, who somehow end up trapped by a sentient house named Victoria. And because apparently being trapped together isn’t chaotic enough, they also end up in a marriage contract that lasts a month with the little catch that if they consummate the marriage, it becomes binding.

Between the crazy dates, the unexpected wedding, Kayla’s hesitation, and Shadow being completely determined to make Kayla his, I had such a fun time with these two. Shadow’s determination had me smiling, while Kayla definitely kept him working for it.

This was such a sweet, lighthearted rom-com with a fun paranormal twist. It had plenty of chaos, some adorable moments, and a romance that was just really enjoyable to watch unfold. Definitely a cozy read when you’re looking for something fun and entertaining!

A lonely house brought to life by a gamer witch’s magic? A trial marriage? A werepanther who has just learned what a thirst trap is? Sign me up! This sweet, heartfelt story sees Kayla and Shadow embark on a journey that starts as a magical mishap and ends with chosen love and happiness.

This sweet summer treat of a book focuses heavily on found family, a theme that speaks to my heart. Kayla is a highly relatable socially anxious witch, who finds her confidence with the help of the sexy shifter Shadow; who, despite his confidence, still has a lot to learn about what it means to live between the human world and faerie.

Together with their friends, cute familiars, and the cozy small town vibes of Ferndale Falls, these two are incredibly fun to read about as they fall in love and navigate both their pasts and their future together. This book was a welcome dose of sweetness, and I recommend it for any lover of wholesome vibes!

ALL THE STARS IN FAERIE!!!!! (and on earth of course 😍🥰🤭🤩)
Every time Shadow refers to their courtship as the courting game or the mating game I cringe for Kayla…..but…..
As usual I LOVED THIS SOOO MUCH!!!!!
I don’t want to wreck any surprises so it’s tough to say what was so awesome about it…. Except…..EVERYTHING!!!!!
From the sentient 100’s year old house with the temperament of a toddler…. To the beloved enchanted tulips, pumpkins and hearts that haunt the village green…. To the Witch Bitches…. To Weddingpocalypse and the Diabolical Dress (and all her other hilarious little nicknames for things and events🤣🤣🤣)….. to Shadow(grrrrrr…..) and Kayla…who is definitely the nearest and dearest to my heart so far of the Witch Bitch Heroines in this series…. She is freaking fantastic!!!!!
The Found Family vibes in this book are next level!
The SPICE is melt-your-kindle HOT and really not safe for work (or this review to go on the Zon😬🤗🤭🤩😍🤣🥰)

This book was sweet, and playful, and had me absolutely cackling. I am here for the Shadow thirst traps. 🤣🤣🤣 It was also very sweet how Shadow and Kayla come to understand one another and find common ground in their love of games. If you love seeing couples work through cultural barriers, you'd love this one.
.
Kayla's magic animates her house, and then said house decides to play match maker. 😂 Forcing a few fake wedding ceremonies as part of a magical contract can't go wrong, right?
.
Kayla has been being stalked by a werepanther for the last year and has remained completely oblivious. Him always popping up where she is has to be a coincidence, right?
.
Shadow is going to get his girl, how handy that he gets to be in cahoots with her house. And while he's learning to do some handy work in his new full fae form, why not learn to do some thirst traps while he's at it? 😂😂😂
.
I always love returning to Ferndale Falls!

I have read every book so far in this series and I can absolutely say this has been my favorite. From our hunk Shadow woodworking and practicing his thirst traps to his sweet love for his friends and family he was an absolute joy to read on page. And I loved Kayla. Like her I am someone who loves videogames, deals with anxiety around a lot of people and has a no contact relationship with some of my closer 'family' members. Because of relating to her so hard, I found myseld constantly rooting for her throughout the book and wanting desperately for her to get her actual happily ever after.
Fake(?) dating/marriage is always a trope I've loved, and this book does it really well. Showing the inner struggles of its main leads while still keeping the overarching story funny and light.

My suggestion when you're this deep in a series is always to read from the beginning, however id literally recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It was fun and fluffy and for any nerdy girls out there I think it would really hit the spot. 10000/10 I loved it. READ THIS BOOK.

Sentient objects, shadow roads, wild magic and emotions.

This book was so much fun to read. It was amazingly written and so well paced. Add in the cute creatures, familiar faces, fun shops, magic going haywire, childish antics, realm jumping visits and emotional moments and you've got another entry in the Ferndale Falls series! I seriously think this might be my favourite book and couple yet. Shadow puts on a front of being the best and most well know, but hides his insecurities and vulnerability under shadows (hehe pun intented) and Kayla works hard to work around her Social anxiety and painful past. Add in Shadows pack, the citizens of Ferndale Falls and friends from Faerie and you've got the found family down pat. I pretty much cackled through this one just like all the others. Definitely one of my favourite series by this author.

This book is absolutely filled with the good giddy feels. Cute, cozy, charming, and oh so funny.

Kayla is a force of nature that has spent most of her life yearning for acceptance, being a geeky outcast from her family it is hard for her to open up to anyone. She is a smart sassy game designer.

Shadow is a glorious were panther and he knows it, he is also not afraid of showing it, although there does appear to be communication problems, which are understandable.

This also leads to many hilarious moments between them and their friends, and sentient beings surrounding them.

And OMG 🥰dewdrop is absolutely adorable!

Key point in no particular order:
- witch FMC
- werepanther MMC
- sentient house
- coming into your own
- denial
- witch’s familiar
- found family
- were kittens
- acceptance
- feeling like never being enough
- spicy 4/5

Oh my gosh! Shadow at last! This cat sith has been one of my favorite characters since he was first introduced. His smile for miles, snarky humor, and fun-loving personality, made me fall in love with him. His path to happiness was perfect! Kayla was a bit grumpy in previous books. It was great to find out her life story, and to understand what was behind her grumpiness and awesome t-shirts! Kayla and Shadow are proof you can’t take things at face-value. This was a happy, funny story with a sentient house with attitude, a dragonette, werekittens, and the usual cast of fun familiars. I especially love the witchy book club and the male fae get-togethers at the pub. They each have their support group to lean on as they figure life out. Krista writes books that just make me smile!
