Confusing read

I really wanted to love this book. In many ways I did. I could feel the heat, the confusion, hear the animals. In that way it worked.
However, it felt like the author had a lot of ideas and stuck them all in whether or not they worked. A character could be in multiple places at once. The scenarios didn't make sense. Someone was with Daniel, helping people escape, and on the next page asks where Daniel is because they haven't seen him. Ryan was in the tunnel, in the command room and outside the park simultaneously. At first it was weird: by the end it was irritating.
