My parents divorced when I was still small. I never cared either way, but time with my father was always better, more fun, full of more love and attention. Mother just had plans for me to sit pretty while she took tea. Their marriage was arranged; it got her out of her country and into a lavish lifestyle away from her family's rule. Now she’s planning for me to follow her path and marry an unknown man, too. While my father is away on business and not here to protect me, I run. I tried to play it off as a soul-seeking holiday, but he keeps appearing and trying to control me before the ring is on my finger. Then I receive a text when I think I’m safe, telling me I need to move as he is closing in again. Again and again this invisible person helps, until I find myself as Blake’s ‘guest’. Now I need to work out if he’s what I’m searching for or if I need to escape him too.

I have been hired to track down a wayward fiancée, but when I look into the reasons she is on the run, my focus shifts and I start to help her keep one step ahead of him. She hasn’t chosen this for her life and has been frantically trying to get a hold of her father to back her up, but he can’t help physically until he is back in the country. The more I search about her, though, the more I crave to protect her and have her here with me. My focus switches to helping my best friend's girlfriend for a few days, and when I return, my focus on my runaway, I have to call in a favor to get Sakura out of a bad situation, but it ultimately gets me what I want, even if the hellcat is hissing and spitting at me.

Blake, hired by someone looking for their runaway bride, thinks there’s more to the job than mentioned. As he puts the pieces together, he realises how much trouble Sakura is in. He’ll do anything he can to protect her.

Will he save her in time?

This was short, spicy and suspenseful. I liked both characters and the friends Blake has surrounded himself with. I’d love to be part of Charlie’s book club. The possessiveness trope is great, and I love Sakura’s strength. I’ll definitely be reading the whole series to see how their stories fit in.

I couldn’t get enough of this story! From the start of the series I knew that Blake’s story would be full of intrigue due to his job. There has been a story inside of all the stories that Mercy Ashes has done a great job in telling while keeping it blended into the current story. All of the suspense, drama, tension, spice…..this is such a good book! Hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put this one down!

This is last book in the series and helped answer all the overall storyline questions. We also got Blake and Sakura's life story and how far Blake will go to protect his one.

I absolutely loved Sakura and Blake's story.
It is faced paced and full of drama and action.
Blake, part owner of the security company he set up with his best friend, Duke, is one of the Perfect Family of friends that have had each others backs from their school years.
All previous characters, like the books before My Perfect Search have mentions in the ongoing story of each couple. They may have all found their HEA, but they are all behind Blake finding his girl too.
When Blake is given a job to find and retrieve a wayward fiancee and then receives another job, same girl, different story, more money....so as Duke advised, follow your gut and take the job you think is right.
And he does.
He also commences working for Sakura's father. Trying to keep Sakura secure and out of her husband and mother's way.
Taking both jobs, Blake is able to keep a close eye on Sakura whilst feeding intel to her father and knowing what her mother was up to, also.
This love story evolves by way of text messages from B, as he keeps Sakura ahead of her future husband. A man old enough to be her grandfather. Uggghhhh...yeh you got it, Gross!! What was her mother thinking!
As with all these Perfect stories, there is the underlying mystery and drama that unfolds.
And Blake, still working for Harlow finds he can manage the two jobs simultaneously, not realising how closely related they are.
Loved the banter between Blake and Sakura, as he chats with her and watches her constantly! Cos that's his job, right!! LOL Sakura finds she feels safe when B has his eyes on her.
But being on the run is not fun, as Sakura soon finds out.
The highlight of her day is texting B, her protector.
A great conclusion to the "Perfect " Novella series as Blake, being the last one standing without a partner, finds his Perfect match and quite smitten!

This was such a great story. Sakura and Blake were so amazing right from the beginning. Her being on the run when she finds out that her mother basically sold her into an arranged marriage to a man that’s old enough to be her grandfather. When she reached out to her father about it, he tends get where to run. Parents are divorced, so dad is in another country while mom is being shady. He hired Blake to help her since he couldn’t get to her. So Blake, with help from his team, keep her moving so no one else can find her. Better their interactions through text, they slowly get to know one another.
While I absolutely loved this story. I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that she’d barely turned 18 and he was 26. No sooner had she turned 18 and suddenly the dirty talk starts. It felt too abrupt for me. There was no easing into it. And before you know it, they’re falling for one another. I would’ve felt more comfortable had she been in her early 20’s and not a virgin. And I had a hard time picturing them as their descriptions were vague. So it felt like seeing shadow figures throughout the book.
I did genuinely love Charlie though. He was awesome. I thought it was a really great touch talking about how much Sakura loved to read and wanted to be an editor but that’s what authors had alpha and beta readers for. Loved being recognized lol.
But overall, I loved the intensity, the chaos, the found family, and the way these two grew together. It was hot and spicy, and really kept me on my toes turning those pages.

My Perfect Novella: Blake and Sakura

I quite enjoyed this one! It had a fun mix of suspense, stalking, surveillance, and a relationship that develops through technology, which made it really easy to get caught up in the story.

I liked watching Blake and Sakura’s relationship grow, especially with the way their connection started through those messages. It had an almost-instalove feel, but there was still some development between them. And wow… this one is super steamy! 

My one hesitation was Sakura’s age. The 17/26 age gap made me uncomfortable at times. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but it definitely made some aspects of the romance feel a little sticky, especially given the circumstances.

That aside, I thought the suspense kept things moving, and I enjoyed seeing Blake’s focus shift from simply finding Sakura to genuinely wanting to protect her.

A steamy, suspenseful quick read with an interesting technology-driven romance and plenty of twists to keep things moving.

This has been the book I’ve been waiting for!! The buildup throughout the series has been so quiet that I knew Blake and Sakura would be my favorites! The little sweet things Blake does for his friends come through in his new he falls first relationship. I can only imagine the feelings he developed watching Sakura 24/7 to protect her from an evil man. And the feeling she develops for him, knowing everything she does, he can see; ugh, it’s delicious in its own way. Then once they finally meet in person, it has to feel like a dream! The secret plan to wed and trap the villains, the glorious life of reading and being by your man's side all day, and all the little moments. I love how they are in no rush for anything after marriage. Just having each other and loving their friends' kids is enough. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m so happy with how this book played out. And then FAMILY?!?! I cannot wait!

This is the final book in the series. The one I have been waiting for! This is Blake and Sakura's book. It is well written, full of suspense, drama, action, a little stalking and building of a relationship through texts. Blake (26)and one of his best friends Duke own a security company together. Sakura's (17 about to be 18) mother has sold her daughter for money because she is in debt. Blake's company is hired by the bad guy hunting Sakura and her father to protect her from the bad guy. As Blake keeps stalling the bad guy and helping her escape him he is gradually falling for her and Sakura finds she likes that Blake always has eyes on her and is starting to have her own feelings for him. Purchase this book to find out what else happens, but you should read the whole entire series before you read this one!

Have you been curious about Blake and all of his curious behavior throughout the Perfect series?!?! Me too! I am so excited for the wait to finally be over. Blake has interested me since his first appearance, and he did not disappoint! Sakura is on the run from an awful match made by her mother, while her father is far from help. She ends up getting assistance from Blake, and the lengths he goes to to protect her are truly amazing. I loved getting to know Sakura, and she was a joy. Blake was HOT, and it was a great time getting to see them fall for each other. This book provides us with the answers to questions we've had for a while, and still leaves you wanting more.

Wow this book was just as amazing as the others but I am so glad about the conclusion to this series. I would absolutely love to read more about all of them and what happens..and I am sure Mercy Ashes will eventually come out with something...I love how all the characters got their special someone and things worked out. This book somehow has resonated more with me than the others. Seeing how Blake and Sakura’s relationship evolve from just professional texts to confessions makes you anxious to see how it plays out. The way the whole group accepted Sakura in to their family made me feel like the family is now complete. It was also a bonus that Sakura was the missing link to close out Harlow’s investigation.

This is an age gap 17/26 and the Fmc age did have me uncomfortable. Despite this i found the book kept me in intrigued. This is a spicy quick read, with a stalker, suspense, surveillance, a relationship that develops through messages. This brings the series to an end and blakes story was definitely needed.

I think this was my favourite book of the series, we got to see a side to Blake we haven’t seen before. I loved the sexual banter and tension between Blake and Sakura. It was a great book and the prefect ending to the series with how everything all ties together.

A Fitting End

I received this book as an advance copy and these are my honest thoughts.

I enjoyed this book and the 'protector from afar' vibes it carries. Blake is absolutely a protector through and through, he has been working behind the scenes in all the books making sure everyone is safe and trying to solve the issues that Harlow was dealing with in the first book. Sakura is a daddy's girl who is forced to start her adult life on the run from an arranged marriage set up by her mother. Things start to become clear that maybe not all is as it seems and there may be something more sinister at play. This book does bring an end to the My Perfect series and in the best way.
