Zoe thought monsters were just stories. Until one of them saved her life.
After a brutal attack leaves her bleeding in the dark, Zoe is rescued by creatures who should not exist—hybrids. Neither vampire nor shifter. Hunted by both. Erased from history.
They’re dangerous. Immortal. And devastatingly beautiful.
Drawn into their hidden world, Zoe discovers her survival wasn’t an accident. Something in her blood ties her to an ancient prophecy—one powerful enough to make monsters and angels alike come for her.
And one hybrid in particular makes staying impossible to resist.
He’s lethal. Controlled. Terrified of loving her. Because loving Zoe might be the one thing that destroys them all.
As enemies close in and fate tightens its grip, Zoe must choose between running from the monsters… or standing beside the ones who would burn the world to keep her alive.
I found it on TikTok and got it as an ARC from the Author (so friendly) . Never met the author and still i wrote massages and we talked as i was reading the book. It's really awesome how amazing the author was.
No spoilers.
I really liked the FMC Zoe the human that has found herself in the supernatural word. The Clan of Hybrids Tom, Freiah, Maisie, Tommy and Cole. I really love their bond and the family they created. The bond between Tom and Freiah is so deep and with a lot of history. Tommy is the big brother , Maisie is gentle and like a parent, Cole the funny , joker in the family , Freiah is like the aunt hot and crazy with a lot of secrets and Tom is the quiet and broody but is a tedy bear with a big heart. Annnnd the Blond villain with the big speach......bla bla bla. ( nobody likes you Gabriel)
I loved the book. The story kept me reading , the charachters are well writen and very interesting.
100% recomaned it . It's 278 pages , a short read . read it in a few hours.
I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC of this book from my dear friend.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Who doesn't love a romance book with vampires and wolves? The story is interesting, fast paced and keeps you wanting more.
The characters have depth and are lovable and interesting. I loved the found family element and the way the bond between the characters is portrayed. Also grumpy MMC's who turn out to be massive softies have a special place in my romance reader heart ❤️ On the other hand the villain is portrayed in a way that filled me with pure hatred for the dude.
My favourite character though has to be Cole with all his brilliant one liners that actually made me laugh out loud.
This book was gripping and entertaining and I am very excited to read book 2.
ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Review using the P.E.A.C.H rating system (plot, enjoyment, artistry, characters, heart) developed by Erin Smith.
Plot — 3.5/5⭐ The beginning of the story gave me strong Twilight and The Originals vibes. At one point the MMC throws the FMC over his back, shifts, and runs through the woods — and “Hold on tight, spider monkey” immediately popped into my head. This isn’t a criticism so much as a natural comparison; any book featuring vampires and wolves will inevitably draw parallels for many readers.
The plot takes a much more original turn toward the end with the introduction of an angel determined to wipe out hybrids so he can regain his wings and return home. Very Lucifer coded, and a direction I found genuinely intriguing.
The pacing overall was mixed. It starts slow, then quite quickly goes into hyperspeed — including the romance between Zoe and Tom. I would have loved a slower burn with more enemies‑to‑lovers tension rather than a quick shift from mild irritation to full devotion.
Enjoyment — 3.5/5⭐ Once the story found its momentum — around the halfway point — I was fully invested. The latter half is fast‑paced, action‑heavy, and genuinely gripping. The ending in particular kept me turning pages.
Artistry — 3.5/5⭐ The writing is strong, with vivid imagery and detailed world‑building. At times, though, the level of description slowed the momentum, especially during the Jerusalem storyline where a lot is happening at once.
Characters — 4/5⭐ Tom was my favourite. I love a grumpy MMC who is fiercely loyal to the FMC, and Tom delivers — even if that loyalty develops quickly. The supporting cast is likable too, and I’m excited to get to know them better in future books.
Freiah’s chapter really stood out. It added depth to her character and prevented her from being misunderstood. My only challenge was the sheer number of characters introduced early on — Zoe, Tom, Tommy, Cole, Maisie, Freiah, Gabriel, Jason, the Syndicate — that coupled with their powers, made it a bit hard to keep track. With multiple POVs coming in later books, I think they’ll each have room to breathe and develop.
Heart — 4/5⭐ I genuinely enjoyed this book. While it’s not an instant favourite (yet), the ending sets up the potential for some epic sequels, and I’m excited to see where the series goes. Also, please do yourself a favour and check out the character art on T.B.Addys TikTok account! 🫠
Spice 🌶 (Not part of PEACH rating) There’s one spicy scene — nothing extreme, but worth mentioning.
Final Thoughts and Rating. A very solid 3.7/5 ⭐️ rounded to 4⭐️ for goodreads. I’m extremely grateful to T.B. Addy for sending me the eARC. For a debut novel, it’s action‑packed, gripping, and not short of shocking moments — including one character being ripped limb from limb and burned. My heart!!
If you loved Twilight but want a more mature take, and you enjoy the vibes of The Originals and Lucifer, this book will be right up your alley.

I found the book on TikTok and I got it as an ARC, it is a first for me. The author is really sweet and friendly.
No spoilers!
I loved the book, the storyline makes you wanna know more.
The characters are nice written and you will love them. There is a pack of Hybrids and they are like a family, and there is our FMC Zoe who is a human. They have a common enemy, a fallen angel. It has also a little bit of spice 🌶️!
Wow, what an ending! A dark, addictive supernatural story with fascinating characters and rich world-building. The tension builds beautifully, the payoff is absolutely worth it, and I can’t wait for the next book.
This book was fantastic I was hooked from the first chapter. The fact that this is T.B. Addy’s first book is outstanding. The descriptive writing was next level the way they makes us bond with these characters from the jump is incredible, it really feels like you are always right next to them.
If you liked themes from twilight (it puts twilight to shame) you will love this. Not giving anything away the way they slips in backstories without taking away from the current timeline is so beautiful it almost feels like a dreamscape. My favourite quote of the book was “beautiful in the unsettling way thunderstorms are beautiful” and I think that sums up the book perfectly. I am obsessed with Mama Murphy she is an icon I need more of her.
All of the characters were fantastic however Freiah is such a badass I am obsessed. And of course Maisie and Tommy I cannot wait to see more of them and see how Cole develops along with Tom and Zoe’s relationship.
I’m beyond thrilled and disappointed, that I was so kindly chosen to be an ARC reader, purely because there isn’t a whole 10 book series!!!. I can’t wait till this is out so my friends can read it. Honestly well done. I’m very proud of you and the beautiful world you created.
(P.s I need a physical copy so I can annotate to my hearts content.)
I actually loved this book so much! Went into it slightly skeptical as I always do, but was almost immediately hooked and read in 2 sittings. 'One more chapter' all but became my motto for the evenings! The characters are immense and the group has all the personalities you need in a family which just makes each bit of the story click and roll so well. The book/story is fast paced and still action packed while maintaining balance with the lore, romance, the character relationships. One VERY important and brilliantly written part, at least for me, is that it is made very clear that they are 'not like your movies'. They are predators. And each bit of the book, they can be vicious and brutal, having each lived so long. They've been through so many things, human life has barely any meaning anymore. They make it clear to Zoe, and because of that, I loved it even more. Solely because we don't see very many books/movies that show this side of vampires/werewolves (or werebears, sorry Tommy!)/hybrids and it's written in a way that just works?
Also... 'No gods here, only monsters' will live forever in my brain. ❤️🫠
I came across this ARC on TikTok and immediately knew I had to read it, so I reached out to the author for a copy. This book has so many of the things I love — vampires, werewolves, and the perfect blend of the two in the form of hybrids. The world-building is immersive, and the way these supernatural elements are woven together kept me hooked from the start. The story itself is gripping and well-paced, making it a strong and impressive first book. It sets the foundation beautifully, and if this is any indication of what’s to come, I have no doubt this is going to turn into an incredible series.
I was scrolling through tik tok to screenshot or save books into my favourites when I came across this author offering readers to read her arc. I was super excited when I received the book as I’ve never had the chance to read a before resealing ❤️
At first I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I ending up LOVING IT! I’m so looking forward to seeing what comes in the next book, definitely going to be a rollercoaster of emotions 🥲
All of the characters were written beautifully…. Except Gabriel we don’t like him 😂 you see little bits of there past and how they became a found family and now Zoe thrown into there family.
At first I wasn’t the biggest fan of Tom he’s cold and arrogant but definitely hot 😉 but as the story continues you fall in love with him more and more. Freiah is a bad ass, her and Tom have one of the best bonds in the group they would put their life on the line for eachother no questions asked. Maisie is the mother hen of the group I look forward to see more into her story. Tommy is super strong but he’s love for his family is refreshing we learn a bit into his past but there definitely more to learn. And lastly Cole his personality it’s so refreshing, he’s the joker of the group always making the situation better with just his presence, I’ll like to see where his character develops.
All in all it was a 5 star read ⭐️ if you like vampire and werewolf’s this book is definitely for you! It had the perfect amount of spice.. not too much not too little..
I discovered this book on TikTok and was lucky enough to receive it as an ARC. I absolutely loved reading this story. The writing is beautifully descriptive and so immersive that I flew through the pages.
The characters are well-developed, relatable, and truly engaging. I especially adored the clan of hybrids and the strong bond they share, as well as the way they welcomed the FMC into their family. Cole quickly became a favorite with his refreshing and charming personality.
I also really loved the twist of portraying an angel as the villain—angels are so often depicted as purely good, so this felt unique and refreshing.
I’m incredibly excited and already counting down the days for book two!
Hybrids is a book that made me relive my Twilight and TVD days.
⭐️ NOSTALGIC ⭐️AMAZING GRUMPY X SUNSHINE DYNAMIC ⭐️MILD 🌶️ BUT STILL HOT ⭐️FOUND FAMILY
Tom our MMC is our typical broody book BF and you see him slowly open up with our FMC Zoe. The twist…. She’s human, he’s a wolf shifter hybrid. He’s closed off because of past experiences and being “immortal”.
The power dynamics are very refreshing and MMC is very persuasive if you get what I’m saying 😵💫😉.
Havjng spoken to the author getting some inside scoope about the characters and how the story came to be I’ve really fallen in love with the story. I genuinely cannot wait for book 2 and the development of all our favourite hybrids.
I stumbled across this and was lucky to join the ARC group. Firstly speaking with the author she is the nicest author I’ve ever chatted with and she’s so passionate about this book, I was hooked just hearing her talk about it. But onto the book, I immediately loved the groups dynamics, the banter, the family unit. Then we get onto Zoe & Tom, I knew I was going to like them from the start and enemies to lovers is my favourite trope, the tension building was on point! Cole has to be my favourite though, I hope to see more of his cheeky chappy character as the series goes on. I loved the pace of the book, it kept me engaged and wanting to keep turning those pages, the ending HAD me 😅 is all I’ll say! But I was glad the way it turned. I cannot wait for the next part to their story!
I was lucky enough to stumble across Hybrids on TikTok and on a whim put myself forward for an advanced copy from the author…. And I’m so glad I did!
I’m not going to go into spoilers, but this supernatural, romantacy with a religious element is amazing. You connect with the characters immediately and the story pulls you in so quickly you can’t stop reading.
Absolutely cannot wait for the next book, this one has pulled me out of a fantasy slump and I’m so grateful to have been able to read it before it comes out!
If you’re a fantasy/ romantacy/ vampire/ shifter lover and looking for a fresh twist with lovable (and hate-able) characters then please please read this, you will not be disappointed!!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of the book to read. I was impressed with the authors writing style and the way it flowed. I loved that the story was fast paced and kept you reading. The characters and character development were very well written. The questions you have along the way become clear the more you read. I love that the bad guy is supposed to be good, the angel hunting them is quite the twist. The concept of the hybrids is original and I loved that there’s a range of supernatural creatures. All in all, this is a five star read with good characters, a good plot and you want to dive straight into the next book.
Wow wow wow just bloody wow, this book was so good I read it in 2 days after getting the ARC and I am so grateful that I read her first book.
The characters, "Zoe" normal girl from Cedar Falls gets her life turned upside down by 5 Hybrids named Tom, Tommy, Cole, Freiah, Maisie! And why not throw an Angel Gabriel in the mix! OMG such a great mix of characters, funny, empathic, super supernatural.
The fact the author based the book on her friends and her partner at a time she needed them and her quote "everyone is a little bit hybrid".
I will give you no spoilers, as I dont want to ruin it but you will definitely need to read this!
When I say I lapped this book up! I can't believe how fast I devoured it, I really struggled to put it down.
I was hooked from the first chapter when a mystery stranger walked into a dinner and this band of Hybrids had me questioning my own morals....and I'm ok with that (no spoilers here).
I love the found family depicted, there were so many characters to root for Cole & Freiah definitely shining through.
I was kept on the edge of my seat during the conclusion and left shocked multiple times. It's a unique twist on Angel/vampire mythology that kept me turning pages. I'll definitely be reading the next installments.
I fell in love with all of the characters and Cedar Falls. T.B. Addy portrays the characters brilliantly. They have depth, soul, personality, and feel truly alive. The story was emotional, fun and absolutely great. ❤️ also with a nice pinch of spice 🌶️.
Vampires, shifters, angles and a lovely FMC.. everything my bookish heart loves and cherishes. Hybrids is an amazing debut, and I’m already incredibly excited for the next book. 📚 I will 100% recommend this book to my friends.
First of all I want to make it known, I Love this kind of Lore with Vampires, Werewolves and Supernatural beings! The storyline was really unique to me from anything I have personally read and the characters are really lovable and have their own quirks that make them stand on their own aswell as, a group/family. As an Arc reader before the book is published I was extremely grateful to have the chance to read it as well as chat to fellow readers and the really lovely Author! I Don't want to give any specific spoilers as it hasnt yet been published but, I will say from Chapter 17 the book had a real turning point, and the story and writing seemed to really flow and made it impossible for me to put down. Just the right amount of spice for a first book and a great amount of Action. Not to mention A super arrogant Villian! I am very much looking forward to Book 2, as Book 1 is really just the beginning! The only reason its a 4 stars and not 5 is i may have had a little struggle with the first few chapters but that being said I still really enjoyed the story as a whole, The idea of the storyline Is captivating. The characters are a great mix of personalities too. I really look forward to seeing what happens next!
This book is absolutely fantastic from start to finish i was given the opportunity to have this book as an ARC from TikTok and the author is the best 🥰🥰 i was obsessed from page one and I’ve never read anything book about vampires and hybrids but this book has changed that 😃😃 thank you to T.B.Addy for the opportunity and for writing this book you and this book really are fantastic so keep your eyes pealed for when this gets released you will not be disappointed and will be left wanting more
This book felt like Twilight crashing headfirst into The Originals—and somehow leveling up both. Yearning, curiosity, fiercely independent characters, vampires and werewolves circling a common enemy… I was hooked from chapter one. It’s action-packed, addictive, and the slow-burn romance? Painful in the best way—perfect for the story and absolutely worth the wait. I’m obsessed, emotionally compromised, and screaming I NEED BOOK 2 NOW. 🖤📖
Got a chance to pre read this book and im so happy i did. The story is good, it has a good ground to stand on. I got a good feel for the characters and can’t wait to see how they grow. Supernatural elements are always fun, good tension between the FMC and the MMC. Was missing a little bit of depth but I believe it will come in the futur.
Thanks for letting me read this book before release. Really recommend this if you are into vampires and other supernatural beings.
Where to start!! This is one of the best books I’ve ever read and the first one in a long time that I couldn’t put down! If you’re a klaus mikealson fan or an originals fan you’ll absolutely adore this book. It had everything you could need, action, suspense, drama, a sprinkling of spice and an ending that had me on a roller coaster of every emotion. I can’t express how lucky I feel to have been able to read an advanced copy. When this comes out READ IT!!
I stumbled upon this on TikTok and I was honoured to be chosen as an arc reader for the authors first book it is amazing. She is so friendly kind and welcoming and she is extremely talented. A fast-paced and captivating read! The characters are a mix of loveable and hateable, making for an engaging experience. You'll laugh, cry, and definitely be left wanting more.
