I say it every single time, C.S. Berry, WHAT DO YOU PUT IN THESE BOOKS?!?! Literally you cannot put down her books! Their Cruel Play by C.S. Berry is book three of the Untouched Volume 3 of 6, the serial that is now out as books and omg. If you love a HOT, dark, obsessed, football, why choose romance, with the FIVE gorgeous horsemen, sooo much heat, burn, secrets, suspense and a bond growing so deep between these six, I am telling you, GO READ THIS BOOK SERIES NOW!
This book starts right off where we left. Harper, in her senior year, she's always been the girl in the shadows. Now deep in with her FIVE horsemen; Luke is death, Caden is war, Jack is famine, Eli is pestilence and Nico is Apocalypse. These men, each of them different in their own way and each falling deeply more everyday for their girl. Though they claimed her in the beginning, truthfully SHE owns all four of these boys completely. I love Harper, she’s brave, she's strong, she stands up and fights. She’s growing more and more into herself. And I loved how simply she cares for them, these boys who never have truly just been loved. And this book was truly them realizing they cannot be without her, she's soul deep in each of them! I loved how we got more too of her with each of them one on one, those relationships getting even stronger. I can't even describe the spice and heat of this book. It will burn you alive. It’s addicting, it's raw. Ugh I can't even describe how good!
I loved this one, loved watching them fall even more. Watching them become this little family, she’s still not 100% convinced they truly want her forever, but I love that they are trying to show her in every way. There’s communication, talking it out and I love it! So many twists and turns, every emotion and we are left at the end with more questions and so much more to come. I didn't want this to end and I cannot wait for the next one. You need this series, one of my ALL TIME favorites!

This group is actually figuring it out. Sure they are young and they have some serious maturing to do, but we get to watch it happen. See the moments of bounding and growth and owning of mistakes. The recognition that sometimes effort and apologies and acceptance has to happen.... and when you get to the dates, aww sweet swoon. I also appreciate the variance we get to see in home lives because it does explain so much about why this group has formed and the traumas they are going to need to work on in therapy someday. But the absolute certainty they bring to reassure this is legit and will protect at all costs is worth watching play out too. Plus, who doesn't enjoy a bit of a cliff hanger?!?
I absolutely love being an ARC reader for this series right now!!! Its getting better and better. This one has some suspense within it which I love. As this series continues the twist and turns are amazing. There was small triggers with my history but nothing that was horrible to me but could be for someone else. Those don't drag on whats so ever! I just cant wait until we can get the next one. Harper and her guys are so intoxicating in a way! The aurora that the Author protrudes is amazing! I feel like im watching a movie. Granted I feel a tv show would he amazing if C.S. Berry went that way!!! Haha I maybe a bit obsessed but I swear I was struggling finding a book I want to really read until I got this to read for her!!! Its that good. Recommend it!!!!
Yet again, a banger. I'm loving seeing what happens in this series. As much as its a mystery its also spicy af. The dynamics are changing amongst the group and truly i dont know how it will turn out which im ok with but seeing the guys change is interesting. Luke is growing on me, his dad issues add a different layer that softens him but at the same time he'll never be soft. Eli is confusing, I love him but hes scary. Nico... still not sure about him. Caden has my heart, thats not changing (it better not) is it bad I want something with jack and one of the guys? Like maybe jack and caden or adding someone with jack? I just feel like that would be fun... but also theres so many guys that i get not adding more. Can't wait for the next book!
I’m so grateful that the volumes of C.S. Berry’s Untouched series have been published pretty close together, because each time I read another book about Harper and her Horsemen, the more feral I become for the next part of the story (even though I already read it on Kindle Vella). Despite the amount of drama going down at Sherman High, I will gladly return to this universe over and over.
Their Cruel Play is volume 3 of Untouched. It picks up right where the cliffhanger in Their Twisted Rules paused the story. In the first two books, Harper becomes a target after she’s claimed by the Horsemen for the entire school year. Things start off as pranks that aren’t too dangerous or disruptive, but by this third book things have started to escalate in very scary ways. No one should underestimate Harper, though, because that would definitely be a mistake.
During their reign, the Horsemen have definitely pissed some people off and made some enemies, so at first it seems like people are going after Harper because it’s the easy way to get back at them. Yet the deeper Luke, Caden, Eli, Jack, and Nico get with Harper, the more she becomes their vulnerability… a truth the guys want to contain. Hurting Harper in any way is a guaranteed way to hurt the Horsemen the most, especially if hurting her means taking her away from them. The Horsemen will do everything in their power to stop that from happening, but will they let Harper in? Will they treat her as one of them by making her part of the team? The list of suspects/enemies keeps growing, and it becomes increasingly clear that the perpetrator(s) know too much. Who in their circle is selling them out, or worse?
Like the others, this book was a page-turner that kept me invested. It was fun to consider what is known and unknown about the people who might have motives to go after Harper and the Horsemen - especially when their problems extend beyond their peers or the walls of the high school. With a story like this you never know what twist is lurking around the corner. C.S. Berry’s books always include a lot of intrigue, and these books are no different! The stakes go up as the books continue, so by book 3 that feeling really pervades the entire reading experience.
But since these are Why Choose romance books, I’m here for the romance and the characters. These characters in particular are my favorites of C.S. Berry’s literary universe — maybe it’s because I started with them — or maybe it’s because I just feel like I can see these characters so vibrantly. Berry has done a lot to build them and their world, and I’m truly here for it. I love all of the boys, so I won’t choose, but like Harper, I have a soft spot for the lost boys (broken boys especially).
Harper still has a lot of doubt in her heart and mind about the guys and their relationship during Their Cruel Play, so I really enjoyed reading from the guys’ POVs, because if she could do the same, she’d know how gone they all are for her. They’re definitely falling for her and need her more than she realizes. The guys can see a future with her more than she can, or at least they’re letting themselves see one more than she is. For Luke, Caden, and Eli specifically, they have found someone in her that actually sees them and takes care of them. All 3 of them have difficult home lives/problematic relationships with their parents, so the safety they find with Harper means something to each of them. Even though Jack and Nico have better relationships with their parents (aside from Nico’s relationship with his dad), they still need her too — just in different ways.
Their Cruel Play is the pivotal, middle of the story. We see the developing relationships, increasing tension, and evolving threats gather momentum. There are heart-pounding moments, swoon-worthy gestures, super spicy scenes, and so much more. Like the others, this book ends on a cliffhanger… A cliffhanger that might make you question what you thought you knew, which is a delicious aspect of good storytelling. Don’t skip anything because there’s so much more to come. Their story continues in Their Dark Victory, available in late June 2026.

🖤🔥 “Five Horsemen. One Girl. And a Cliffhanger Cruel Enough to Ruin Lives.” 🔥🖤
🖤 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 by Their Cruel Play — 𝐂.𝐒. 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 🖤
WHAT. DOES. C.S. Berry. PUT. IN. THESE. BOOKS?!?! Because I swear every single one consumes me more than the last. 😩🔥
And honestly? Watching this story evolve has been such a special experience for me. I’ve been with Harper and the Horsemen since this series was a serial on Kindle Vella, and seeing these stories become actual books I can hold in my hands and keep forever is EVERYTHING. 🖤📚 There’s just something so surreal and rewarding about watching a story you’ve loved from the beginning grow into something this big, this addictive, and this unforgettable.
If you love dark romance with actual PLOT, obsessive possessive men, high tension, insane twists, emotional damage, and enough spice to absolutely burn your soul alive… then this series owns you already. 🖤
Their Cruel Play picks up immediately after that brutal cliffhanger in Their Twisted Rules, and from page ONE it does not let you breathe. The tension at Sherman High has escalated from dangerous little games into something genuinely terrifying. Every chapter had me questioning EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Just when you think you have it figured out? BAM 💥 another twist. Another betrayal. Another secret lurking around the corner.
And THE CHEMISTRY?!?! Lord have mercy. 🥵🔥🌶️ And Harper? GOD I love her. 🖤 Watching her grow from the girl hiding in the shadows into someone fierce, protective, and impossible to break has been everything. People keep underestimating her, meanwhile she completely owns all five of her Horsemen — Luke 🖤 Caden ⚔️ Eli ☠️ Jack 🥀 Nico 🔥 — whether she realizes it or not. And these boys are absolutely gone for her. The deeper this series gets, the more obvious it becomes that Harper is their weakness, their peace, and the one thing none of them can live without.
The spice in this book is FILTHY in the best possible way. Raw, emotional, addictive, obsessive — the kind of chemistry that has you staring at the wall afterward trying to recover. The why choose trope is THRIVING in this series and I genuinely cannot choose between these men because each relationship feels so important and developed in its own way. But what really makes this series stand out is how perfectly Berry balances the romance with suspense and mystery. There’s so much intrigue woven into this story. The threats keep escalating, the suspect list keeps growing, and somebody knows WAY too much. The paranoia, the secrets, the emotional tension — it’s all SO GOOD And that ending?!?!?!?!
C.S. Berry absolutely MASTERED the art of breaking Untouched into these volumes in the most deliciously cruel way possible. Every single book ends with you desperate for more, completely obsessed, and questioning your sanity. The cliffhangers are sneaky, clever, chaotic perfection — the kind that leave you staring at the wall afterward trying to process what just happened. Truly addictive storytelling at its finest.
Not to rub it in, but I know what happens next ha ha ha!
This series has become one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES and I will gladly keep returning to this universe over and over again. Dark, addictive, emotional, twisted, spicy perfection.
✨ If you love: 🏈 Dark high school romance 🔥 Why Choose romance 🖤 Morally gray obsessed men 🌶️ EXTREME spice 🔪 Suspense & twists 🥀 Broken boys falling hard 📚 Addictive serial-style storytelling
Harper is leaning into her role as the Horsemen's girlfriend. She has been introduced to the parents as such, and her mother jokes that she used to be such a non-problematic child. The guys are learning more about Harper outside of the bedroom, which creates a wistful exchange of wanting date nights and how each guy has a part of Harper's heart.
As for Nico, her bestie from childhood, who essentially threw her under the bus in volume 2 in a statement that was supposed to protect Harper but wound up backfiring, he and Harper are getting reacquainted. They are no longer playing hide-and-go seek and running to catch fireflies. No, their emotional bond has been pushed to a painful limit, colored by regret and jealousy. We see their perspectives as the multi-POV narrative continues, but it works very well.
The pranks, however, are getting more personal and heated and dangerous. Harper is still on the radar, and her horsemen are determined to put an end to it. No one is safe from their scrutiny, creating another emotional moment for Harper because until senior year, she had no one other than her mother and her bestie Kenzie.
In between the fear and antics and drama are the sweet moments that are trademarks of CS Berry's writing: the drawer of underwear and toiletries. The clothing in the closet. The hugs received from one of the guys, whereby Harper has a moment of "I taught him how to do that" with quiet pride. Even the brief examination by Harper's mom in the kitchen with a quiet history of his ER visits. Yes, the relationship started as a challenge on the last virgin in their senior year, but everyone's hearts are realizing that this could be something more, and the expiration date of high school graduation seems to become more insignificant as they dream about their future together.
Like the prior two books, there is a cliffhanger at the end. Brace yourself.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
CS Berry knows how to do smut with a plot! This is book three of six and picks up from the cliffhanger of book two. This is also the published edition from the Kindle Vella series. I'm reading this new since I never read the Vella series.
Harper is a HS Senior and has stayed under the radar and away from the horsemen until this year. She is (or was) the remaining untouched virgin and they want to claim her as theirs. This book picks up with someone breaking into Harper's house and trying to attack her. Most of the book is following Harper and her guys trying to figure out who is out to get Harper and trying to keep her safe. In the previous two books, the horsemen were overly protective and this one, the guys go to a whole new level of overprotectiveness.
Harper also has some issues to work out with Nico and Nico has issues of his own to figure out. Luke has issues to work out with dear old dad. Jack, Eli and Caden each of some things of their own to deal with as well. And then there is Harper and her mom. We can all wish we had moms like Harper's. The cheermonsters were well, cheermonstering. And then of course we have all the smut...
And as the reader, you start to think about who is pulling the strings and going after Harper just like the horsemen question in the book. About halfway through this book, I started questioning some of the people myself and thought I had a suspect and think I still do at the end of this, usually I am wrong, lol. The cliffhanger snuck up real slow in this book. I turned that page and read those last couple of lines and was like wait what? No, this can't be the end!! Oh, CS Berry! Why do you do this to us!! I'm asking the same questions...
What do you mean it ended like that?????? I was not prepared 😭
I started this series back when it was on Vella and have been hooked ever since, and somehow Their Cruel Play just keeps making it better. The tension in this one is on a whole different level. Harper is in real danger now and the story really leans into that. Even when I had a good idea of who was behind everything, I still had no clue when or how things were going to happen—and that kept me completely locked in the whole time.
Harper and her horsemen continue to have me completely obsessed. I absolutely have my favorites (I will always go for the troubled ones), but honestly I love all of them. Watching how each of the guys is changing because of Harper—and how she is growing right alongside them—has been one of my favorite parts of this series. The character development in this book was so good. You really see their relationships deepen, not just with her but with each other too, and it makes everything hit harder.
I also loved that things aren’t perfect between them. There are tensions, trust issues, and real emotions that they have to work through, which just makes it all feel more real.
And of course… it’s still hot and steamy. That part definitely delivers. The plot is getting darker, the stakes are higher, and I feel like something even bigger is coming next. And that ending??? Yeah… I need the next book immediately.
Trust me, you’re going to want to read this and keep going with the series. I am fully obsessed.
Harper and the Horsemen are back, and things are getting incredibly intense! If you thought the other books were wild, this installment dials everything up—it is even spicier and much more dangerous.
Having five men watching over her should make Harper feel safe, but the tension is at an all-time high. It’s becoming clear that the threats against her aren't just a coincidence; she’s being targeted, and the Horsemen are spiraling because they fear their own pasts are the cause. Between the girls they’ve left behind and the rivals who want what they have, you won't know who to trust.
What I loved most about this book is how it balances the high-stakes mystery with the "normal" pressures of being a teenager. Watching them try to uncover their fathers' secrets and protect Harper while simultaneously dealing with college applications and finishing high school adds such a relatable layer of stress to the story.
C.S. Berry does a fantastic job of making you fall even harder for each of the guys. Whether you’re Team Luke, Eli, Jack, Nico, or Caden, you get to see new sides of their personalities as they work together to keep their love—and Harper—alive.
It’s a fast-paced, heart-pounding "game" that leaves you breathless. Highly recommended for fans of spicy reverse harem and dark high school romance!
Convincing you to add this series to your read right now list.
The Untouched series contains 6 books with Their Dangerous Games being the first book, followed by Their Twisted Ruels.
It is so spicy, it was put into the erotica section on Amazon.
Harper is the last virgin of her year, and she has been targeted by the Horsemen. They want to claim her, make her theirs for the year, but it is not all heart eyes and sweet moments.
This is one ride you want to stay seated for. The game changes along the way, it is messy at first, but the intense spicy chemistry will have you melting in your seat.
Book 3 shows more of Harper's strengths and she really comes into her own.
She is not hiding anymore, but now she is also seen more than she would like.
This puts Harper in the sights of others, and now the Horsemen and Harper need to figure out who is trying to hurt her and take them down as the kings of the school.
This is one of those books I would have to say, don't read in public 🥵
Tropes • Bullies-to-Protectors • Touch Her and Die vibes • Reverse Harem • Forced Proximity • Last Virgin • All Her Firsts
Trigger Warnings • Bullying • Public Humiliation • Stalking • Dubious consent • Spanking/bondage • Group scenes (No swords crossing) All characters are of age • Mentione of rape/ attempted and told by a characters POV
The queen of RH strikes again! Harper and her guys will make you ache for a harem of your own!! Each book in this series so far has been better than the previous and this one is high up there on my list of best RH books ever written.
This book has it all - a thrilling mystery, possessive and jealous boyfriends, resolving relationship conflicts around mistrust and betrayal, and incredibly steamy intimacy. I loved watching how Harper’s relationship with each of her guys developed, and how she grew to care for each of them. It was heartbreaking to learn more of the guys’ really crappy home lives, but I was so thrilled to see Harper’s mom be a real rockstar parent. Seriously taking parenting notes from her. One of my favorite plot lines was watching how Nico overcame his struggle to find his place in the group and rekindle his friendship with Harper. The character development in this book was super satisfying.
Each time I thought I was figuring out the mystery of who was stalking/harassing Harper, the plot thickened. I was at the edge of my seat during the last few paragraphs and am desperate to read the next book. Run don’t walk to grab a copy - you will not be disappointed!!
Everything that C.S. Berry writes occupies my every thought! Their Cruel Play had me hooked from start to finish! I am so addicted to this story!
The spice is off the charts and I am here for it all!
There is something so special about Harper and her guys! I have so enjoyed getting to see the evolution of Luke, Eli, Caden, Jack and Nico's characters as they fall for Harper. She has deepened them. I love that as Harper cares and begins to fall for them they start to see and feel something new in themselves. Caden and Luke have had no one who has really shown them love and seeing them feel love from Harper is beautiful.
Harper is growing as a person too and I love that she is able to not feel so alone. I also enjoyed that she becomes more of an equal in their group as the book progresses.
There is so much drama in this book. What is High School without drama. In Their Cruel Play Harper is being messed with more and more. I am loving the journey of them trying to figure out who it is. I can't wait for the next books in the series so I can find out who it is.
Overall I loved it and can't wait for more of Harper and her Horsemen!
Thank you to the author C.S Berry and team for the eARC!
5🌟10🌶️!!! Another delicious cover!!! C S Berry has been my favorite RH writer for a long time and the Untouched series just keeps me on the edge, burns through my soul, and blows my kinky little mind!!! You definitely need to read these books in order and note the TW. Thank you so much for the ARC!
Harper’s world has changed dramatically and I love how she’s embraced her horsemen! She’s become more than the last virgin to each of her guys. It’s been interesting getting to know their backgrounds, how they interact with their family, and how they protect and support each other. Luke, Caden, Eli, Jack, and Nico are compelling individually, but as a group they are fascinating!!
There’s never a boring page: whether they’re at home, school, or somewhere else there’s always a spicefest or a danger stalking them! I’m addicted to this story: to finding out who is behind the stalking, what’s the mystery with her father, and how far these people are willing to go! I’m addicted to the intensity, energy, and power of the horsemen’s attraction for Harper and hers for them! I can’t believe we’re halfway through the series!!!
My review of this ARC is an honest and unbiased one.
Book three of Untouched series follows on directly from the previous book so you really do need to read them in order.
This series just keeps getting better, I'm not sure how Harper manages to juggle her FIVE Horesmen, school and the lingering threat that continues to lurk in the background but she manages it. The smut is perfect, the plot is gripping and the threat is multiplying.
Things are shifting within their group and with the threat against Harper escalating will it drive them closer together or further apart? Loyalties were tested in the previous book and secrets were told but can they repair the hurt caused? Guess you will have to read the book to find out.
Caden is still my all time favourite but Luke is a close second. His character really develops in this book and I think it explains a lot on why he became "Death". And yes we still hate Tanner but I may be adding more names to my eat a bag of d1cks list.
Continueing of this story is just fabulous. I couldn't put down the third book of the Untouched series, "Their Cruel Play," by CS Berry. One thing I really like is how protective the Horsemen are. When someone breaks in even though Harper tries to help she is still protected. Not worried about catching the intruder but to get the intruder out for Harper is the priority. To me with each book I just fall more in love with the characters. CS Berry did a fabulous job. Each of the guys (Luke, Eli, Caden, Jack and Nico) and Harper grow as people. They're not just students they are shaping into who they will become. Between the suspense and how they fall in more love with each other I can't wait for more.
I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next. I highly recommend this series as a hole. But remember you need to start at book one, "Their Dangerous Game," otherwise you'll get lost. You won't be disappointed I definitely wasn't.
I was given an advance reader copy of this book for my honest review.
Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 5/5 ➡️➡️➡️ Alright, book three in the bag. This kind of goes in circles, but in a way that keeps you going. Harper is on the level of meeting parents, staying the night when parents know, going on dates and even the title of girlfriend.
Rumors still swirl, and old stories surface keeping Harper’s feelings in check. They all say they want more and they want to keep her, but the guys all have such deep track records it’s hard to swallow sometimes.
Luke, Eli and Caden are still my favorite. Nico and Jack are great, they’re just not my faves.
A majority of this one was them still trying to narrow down who is trying to attack Harper. their lists of suspects is intimidating. It’s a long one. They also trying to figure out what Luke, Nico and Cadens dads want to find about Harper’s dad. How did or do they all know each other?
Ends on a cliffy at an away game that Harper attends. Setting us up for book four. The spice is nice. 🔥 And there’s a lot of it. Keeping on track like the second book did. Can’t wait for book four.
This book shows a lot of character growth individually and as a group. I love the games they like to play making everything a first is just hot!
Since this is my second time reading this series I didn’t realize the first time through the way C.S. Berry included the parents opinions on their children’s relationships. I absolutely loved that. A lot of books never shows what parent from a monogamous relationship would feel when their kids are poly. It made the story even more realistic because of that. Harper’s mom is just amazing!!! I hope I can be as understanding a parent as she is one day. And hopefully with a responsible and clear headed kids like Harper.
I can’t wait for the next book to see how much more this story flows and more depth is added to the storyline and each of the characters!
Seriously with this cliffhanger?????? What are you doing to me? Like I knew it was coming and was prepared, but I wasn't prepared! I ache at the delicious magic Miss Berry creates and I am here for it everytime. I continue to yearn for these horsemen and their princess. Luke and Eli this book were such a 💋 Caleb was such a ❤️🔥 Nico was such a 🐶 and Jack was just 🎂.
This story just gets better and I'm not sure how. It continues right where book two left off and I have to say I was so thrilled with the character development this round. Luke is growing so much and I'm loving it. I also feel like Eli is turning that corner too, next book might really make me fall more in love with him. I was also very pleased with thr growth of their group. There were some bumps, much needed because relationships are hard, especially with 5 possessive males, but they took them in stride and made some efforts. The plot is developing and it is becoming a very winding one. I'm not sure what to even think about the danger! I need my own horsemen. The twists are flowing like crazy and it's only going to get crazier, I can feel it. Something else is coming too and I'm all here for it 😘
Need book four! Don't miss this one. Read it, devour it, absorb it into your soul. The obsession is sooo good.
The Untouched Series is one of my favorites from CS Berry!! I devoured each episode as they were released on Kindle Vella 🤩 Their Cruel Play is book 3 of the Untouched Series. These books must be read in order, so make sure you start with book 1 so you can enjoy every moment with Harper, Luke, Caden, Jack, Eli, and Nico ❤️
Their Cruel Play starts where Their Twisted Rules leaves off. I love how Harper’s relationship with each of her guys has evolved throughout the series so far! Her connection with each guy is unique and it makes them better and stronger together ❤️
I do not want to give away any spoilers, all I can say is enjoy the ride!! Their Cruel Play will have your heart pounding in multiple ways 😉
**I received an ARC of Their Cruel Play in exchange for a honest review**
The story picks up right where the other one left off. There is still a stalker behind Harper but her men will do anything and everything to keep her safe!
Honestly, I loved Harper! She was not a pushover but knew how to deal with her men. She knew how to make them come crawling to her and she knew when to be the perfect submissive to their dominance.
Girl knew she wanted her orgasms and how to get them.
Her men are still coming around to the idea of sharing her with some mild underlying jealousy but they all keep her needs and wants above theirs and they are slowly learning how to share, especially it this scenario was to work long term!
The sex scenes were plentiful and so hot! The one scene where they all competed on who can give her the most orgasms? So freaking hot! I was literally swooning among other things. Ahem.
The third book in the series did not disappoint! This continues on from book 2 in which we are trying to find out who is messing with Harper and wants her away from the horsemen. This book was a lot more suspenseful and full of twists and turns than the previous books and I am so grateful to be an ARC reader because I always have the best times with C.S. Berry's books.
The group is finally starting to navigate the group dynamic in a way that helps and heals all of them. Whilst I enjoyed the smut in this I enjoyed the deeper conversations and moments we found in this book and actually found myself getting teary at times.
I am a sucker for a tortured soul so although I love all of the men, Luke & Caden definitely have my heart <3 they are soft boys wrapped in a hard exterior but have so much love to give even if they think themselves not worthy (which they 100% ARE!!!)
C.S. Berry has done a great job guiding us through Volume 3. Harper and her horsemen continue to evolve, and what stood out most to me was watching each of their characters grow individually alongside Harper.
Harper’s mother, Jennifer, is maybe a little too comfortable with her daughter being involved with five guys—but her role is important to the story, and I like her character.
C.S. does a great job maintaining suspense throughout the series. Knowing there are three more books to go, I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve been fully invested in a series storyline—she keeps me coming back.
As for the horsemen, each one brings a different emotional and physical dynamic into Harper’s life. I’d still like to see a bit more growth from Harper herself, but overall, I enjoy her character.
Their Cruel Play: Untouched Vol 3 of 6 by C.S. Berry
Rating: ★★★★★
Irresistible tension, heart-stopping drama, and a romance that will leave you breathless.
Their Cruel Play: Untouched Vol 3 by C.S. Berry is an absolute page-turner! This installment took the series to new heights with its compelling characters, delicious tension, and unexpected twists. The emotional depth and raw vulnerability of the protagonists made it impossible not to be invested in their journey. C.S. Berry’s writing is both evocative and addictive, drawing readers deeper into the world with every chapter. I loved how the story balanced steamy romance with high-stakes drama, and the cliffhanger ending left me desperate for the next volume. Highly recommended for anyone who loves well-written, suspenseful romance!
Book 3 we get a glimpse of the ‘rents (well most of them)
Harper’s mom I truly adore. Open enough to support her daughter and her decisions as a young adult but still be a Mama bear and handle things when her cub calls.
Caden’s parents come of as absentees, Nico and Eli parents got some conflicts in the house. Jack’s parents seem the most stable and then you have Luke’s father. This man is a piece of work. If I could jump in the novel and just lay these hands on him I would. Such a disgusting waste.
Other thoughts/ questions: -What is Sidney’s deal? Why she coming at Luke this hard? -Rebecca Forester—-hmmmpf stay in the back you are no saint. -got dang it Caden remains my number one choice if she had to pick just one.
My HS didn’t have all this drama nor all this technology. Looking forward to finding out who was in black.
And the mystery continues. This is the third book of the series. We don’t get any closer to getting answers, which is expected at this point. There is growth of the characters in the book as all as insecurities between the group. It’s also interesting to see the parentales getting a bit more involved. Like Harper’s mom’s hiding some secrets of the boys and what she knew from growing up in the town and being a nurse. Then there is the curveball of Harper’s dad hiding something and the guys dad all need to get that thing bad. There is men lurking in Harper’s life who you are trying to figure out who is toying with her. My guess is the last person in the cliffhanger is her dad. I hope we get more answers in the next book.
Another fabulous book by C.S. Berry!! This is the third book in the Untouched series and I could not put it down. The book is a big read but you won't regret it once you start reading 📖
The storyline continues with Harper and her 5 horsemen (who doesn't love a why choose book ❤️) Luke, Caden, Eli, Jack and Nico and their relationship which started as a physical relationship but it is now becoming an emotional relationship. The characters are really showing who they are and their background stories / emotions are developing even more as the series advances.
Once again, the spice between the characters is off the charts 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!! There are twists and turns throughout the storyline and the book is left on a cliff hanger.......Look out for book 4
Once again CS Berry writes a fantastic why choose, bully romance. This one is a continuation of Harper and her 5 horsemen - and it was excellent. I am totally invested in the story as well as very much enjoying all of the spice. We still don't know who is out to get Harper and her guys - there are so many suspects, it's getting a bit crazy. I also really enjoyed how the author took their relationship deeper during this story - she's no longer just getting used and enjoyed - but getting loved and treated with respect. I cannot wait for book 4 - I don't know how this is going to be 6 books in total - I really need to know who the culprit is! This book made me laugh and gasp and feel so many things. Highly recommend anything CS Berry writes - but this series is top notch.
*I received a free pre look at this book* I love the worlds that C.S. Berry creates. I read this series on Kindlevella previously and have devoured each of the books that have come out. It doesn't matter if you previously read this, a re-read is just as good as the first time around. I love how much more detail you get in the characters and their relationship with the FMC. There is plenty of spice, but the plot also thickens to keep you interested in what else is going on. I am biased to a why choose set up and love when connections deepen into unexpected territory.
I can't wait for the remainder of the series, the kindlevella left off a big cliffhanger, so I really look forward to seeing what C.S. Berry does in future books!
