Dr. Lara London is standing on the sidewalk in Lisbon, Portugal, when she realizes that someone is watching her. When an unknown man approaches her, he is stopped by Delta Five team member Aaron Cole. Aaron has been sent to warn her of a threat against her and convinces her to come with him. She realizes that she needs to do so for now and somehow, trusts him. She is an archivist and instead of deleting data that she was supposed to, she saved it. Now, someone is after her planning to blame her for the possible release of the data. Someone has set her up and she’s not sure who and why. Aaron attempts to keep her safe as information has been released that puts them both in danger. Aaron is impressed with her strength and knowledge as they work to outwit the man who she had trusted and who betrayed that trust. They also go after the man who is determined that she take the blame for the information that he plans to release as well as the death and chaos that may follow. Arrested, but then released due to the need for her to thwart the attacks that are planned. As she is working diligently to avert disaster, Aaron is planning to remove the threat permanently. Oh wow this was such a thrill ride. Aaron and Lark took us on a journey that's for sure.
Dr Lark London is knows the secrets that could take down the world, and people want her dead except operative Aaron is hell bent on stopping them.
Aaron and Lark have a lot of friction to deal with first before the romance can start but the attraction is there from the start. Working together builds that trust and respect.
This was so well done. The characters drove this story that was complex and layered. The action was great and made this a book that i really took in and devoured. Loved it!

Strangely Captivating
One of the weirdest books I have ever read but strangely captivating. Read the entire book in one day, both confused and enthralled. Congratulations to the writer! This book grabs you into a world of scientists,heroes, villains, technology,and confusion but definitely won't allow you to stop reading. Don't expect a rousing love story. It's mind bending action, growing respect, and quick problem solving throughout.

Aaron
This book in the Delta Five series is definitely intense. The romance is subtle, as it doesn't have the two main characters, Aaron and Lark, jumping in bed constantly. Overcoming and out smarting the evil she's discovered, will rely on Lark's brilliant mind, and Aaron resourcefulness to keep her safe. Great addition to the series.

This is the second book in the Delta Five SEALS series. People want Lark dead and Aaron is hired to protect her. This was a roller coaster ride of suspense, danger and action. The plot was well written and entertaining. A great read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

DNF. So disappointing after enjoying the first book. I got halfway through and realised I had no idea what was going on, as if I had missed a vital piece of information. Also, the one-word sentences were eventually very distracting.

Love the narrative and the end game.
Love the Easter eggs thrown in the mix.

Tense
I enjoyed the plot. The writing style is short choppy sentences that make for a tense atmosphere. More suspense and action than romance.
