I learnt a lot from the relatable scenarios and references as I currently work in the media industry as Soutar has done his whole career so found the insights extremely valuable.
The book was easy to read and so digestible for all readers. I particularly like the idea that Soutar wants you to keep this book on your desk and write in it and basically USE it as if it is an extension of your own thoughts and workings also (which I have begun to do!)
I really like the graphs and visuals, they make a difference and I will definitely go back to this book throughout my career. My mentor is also reading this and I can’t wait to discuss it with her as she is in a leadership position so I am interested to hear how she puts it in practice too and what she learnt!
I felt Soutar’s passion and energy in the book (and I definitely agree with using lots of exclamation marks!!!) I really relate to the vision, purpose and hope a leader should bring to their team and is something I deeply believe in. Also particularly enjoyed the chapter on how politicians live and breathe their missions and the impact it has.
(Left feeling super inspired to become a a business lady…!)
