Whether you’re an indie author, traditionally published, or hybrid, this workbook will help you get organized so your loved ones will know exactly what to do with your books and publishing business once you’re no longer around.
This step-by-step guide walks you through compiling all your essential information in one place: book details, publishing accounts, book contracts, bank accounts, incoming royalties, outgoing expenses, your wishes for your books after you’re gone, writer-related accounts and subscriptions, websites, social media accounts, and much more—all in a clear, organized manner.
As a hybrid author with over 100 books, including wide titles, Kindle Unlimited books, audiobooks, translations, and several pen names, I have a large number of author-related accounts to manage that my family would have no idea about. If I weren’t around, they’d struggle to figure it all out. In addition to including pages for me to list all this information, this workbook also includes a glossary explaining common writing and publishing terms, making it far easier for a non-author to understand how my author business works and what needs to be done.
It took me a while to fill out this workbook, but I’m so glad I did. I now have an immense sense of peace knowing that my family will understand exactly what to do with my books if something ever happens to me. Not only would they be able to continue earning income from my books, but they would also have a much easier time managing my author business, figuring out taxes, and handling the many other business aspects of being a writer.
