Across the Living Infinite: A Queer Romance Aboard the RMS Titanic

Rate this book
James Thomas Morrow has been moving through life as though in a fog, struggling to find happiness ever since losing the man he loved. One day, while James is working as a footman for a wealthy family in London, he finds out that the White Star Line is in need of crew members for their newest ocean liner. Almost immediately, James secures a position as a first-class saloon steward with the hope that the exciting change might help him clear the haze of melancholy and remind him what it is to really live.

Cassian Penn Livingston is miserable, though he can’t seem to figure out why. He’s wealthy, handsome, and rather influential, and he knows it. Still, something is missing from his life. Equally as concerning, Cassian’s fiancée seems to be as miserable as he is, regardless of Cassian’s efforts to make her feel otherwise. Desperate to improve both their emotional states and their relationship, Cassian purchases them first-class tickets on what is purported to be the most illustrious ship in the world.

When James and Cassian meet aboard the RMS Titanic, they are immediately drawn to each other. Fascinated by their similarities and intrigued by their differences, they are powerless to resist their burgeoning feelings, and what starts as a friendship quickly transforms into something more. But soon, the pressure that Cassian feels to conform to the expectations that have been placed on him by New York’s high society threatens to break them apart. And when their ship strikes an iceberg, James and Cassian are forced to fight not only for their lives, but for the life they want together.

Set in 1912, Across the Living Infinite is an MM romance featuring a passionate courtship, instant connection, and the sweetest found family. It reminds us that even in the wake of life’s tragedies, love and friendship can endure.

Y’all, oh my goodness, okay so I am a MASSIVE Titanic fan. Like anything Titanic related, I latch on to. So when I saw Logan’s post AND saw that there was an HEA, I was ready!

Guys, this book, truly its been so hard to put into words how absolutely phenomenal this book was. Firstly, Logan’s writing is just beautiful. The world building, the character development, the story progression, I mean, if you haven’t read a book by them, you are missing out!!

James has been just coasting through life after the loss of his previous boyfriend. He gets a job with the White Star Line which he is hoping will help him rediscover happiness essentially. Oh my heart was with James throughout the whole book. He was such a sweetheart! He was immediately taken with Cassian and was trying so hard to just be his friend. And Cassian, oh my goodness, I have never loved a selfish character the way I love him. Yes, he is exactly what you think of when you think about that time period and the upper class BUT the soft spot he has in his heart for James was beautiful.

I couldn’t write this review without mentioning the historical accuracy. I mean, you don’t see that often, in my opinion. The time Logan must have taken to do the research needed for this, I can’t even imagine. Of course, you have to take some liberties because how else was James supposed to get so much time with Cassian but still! It truly felt like I was there with them, experiencing everything they went through. The hurt/comfort was right on point and I loved getting to see the class differences.

Please, if you have not read a book by Logan, you absolutely NEED to. I went on a binge and only have 1 more book to read

A charming read that I didn't know I needed.

As someone who is fascinated by all things Titanic, I was excited to read a story that explores a queer romance story that takes place on the RMS Titanic.

Filled with complex characters from different backgrounds there was an emotional element that fell into place so seamlessly. Being able to read James and Cassian's story, seeing glimpses of their past along with the present - navigating and coming to terms with their feelings, a bit of an instant-love situation, AND the tragedy of the sinking of Titanic - and what things might have looked like for two male partners in that time period admist a tragety was an experience I can't even find the words to describe. I absolutely loved reading this story.

There is a true sense of connection admidst struggle, heartache, and hope. A beautifully written romance with a good amount of spice that made me happy. I wouod recommend this read.

Across the Living Infinite was my first book by relative newcomer on the scene, Logan Sage Adams, but it certainly won’t be my last. The passion for history, the dedication to research, the understanding of period social hierarchies and the complexities queer people were forced to navigate in order to exist, thrive, and love—it was all front and center. This Titanic historical romance balanced respect for a real tragedy while still living up to the genre’s expectation of a Happily Ever After.

We’re introduced to James Thomas Morrow, a newly hired first-class steward aboard the RMS Titantic, and Cassian Penn Livingston, an incredibly successful first-class businessman. James is struggling with profound grief, having lost the man he loved a few years prior, and employment with the White Star Line looks like a possibility to begin life anew and find reason again. Cassian, meanwhile, looks as if he has everything James does not—money, power, a beautiful fiancée—so why does he feel unhappy? Not unfulfilled, mind you. Cassian finds pleasure and satisfaction in his work and his money, but his personal life in no way reflects those positive emotions. He struggles to hold conversation with Ethel at even the most superficial level, and he certainly doesn’t know or feel romantic love for her, but this is what’s expected of him: get married to a woman of an acceptable background and have children with her, whether or not that sparks any sort of joy.

Then James and Cassian meet, and consider my heart aflutter.

These two gentlemen fall hard and fast for each other (we are on a limited timeline, keep that in mind) but they don’t immediately jump into bed. Adams allows their attraction to build, based not only on mutual physical interest, but via their complimenting personalities. These two testing their boundaries (remember, it’s 1912 and less than a decade earlier, New York City had conducted its first raid on a gay bathhouse) provides readers with insight and clarity into James’s service-oriented kink. This is later handled so well within the dynamics of their relationship, and I adored how he was submissive in nature without allowing himself to be degraded. Oh, and how James keeps Cassian on his toes? Chef’s kiss.

The early push-and-pull also allows Cassian to open up, and if you read between the lines, you’ll see he’s very clearly autism-coded. In a time period where language didn’t exist for a man like Cassian, where others would simply view him as off-putting or stubborn or selfish, Adams carefully peppers self-reflection into Cassian’s thoughts and emotions, and it’s these internal musings that make him intensely understandable and personally relatable.

Across the Living Infinite is wonderfully tender, believably dramatic, and well-researched, with accurate representation of both neurodivergence and trauma. And without spoiling the ending, Adams took a, frankly, accurate approach to the found family theme in a period setting. I’m very happy they kept an element of truth to having characters from New York society and how it wasn’t so simple to “live the life of a bachelor” if you didn’t have the right people or situation to protect you, especially if Cassian is the sort of man to be considered Old Money (which I think he might be.) I was very satisfied with the romance and ending and highly recommend this book if you’re looking for your first Logan Sage Adams read!

OMG this book! I was lucky enough to read it quite a few weeks ago, and seriously it has not left me since then. As an elder millennial, obviously I was obsessed with the Titanic as a teenager, so I was so excited to hear my favourite MM historical romance writer was working an MM romance set aboard the ill-fated ocean liner.

Obviously we all know the ship is going to sink, we also know that the MCs are going to get their HEA, but that doesn't take away from the absolute rollercoaster of an emotional journey this book takes you on. I could write pages and pages about this novel, but that would be silly, so I'll try and boil it down to my favourite parts.

- The attention to historic detail and the way it is brought to life in the book with beautifully descriptive prose. I have virtually no ability to visualise in my head, but I felt like I was on the damn ship, it was that immersive.
- Cassian! Ok, I know he's a lot, but I love that man, faults and all. He is simultaneously babygirl AND Daddy and I am here for it. He is spoiled, socially awkward and demanding, but seriously, I love him more than some of my family members.
- The fact that the story carried on after the disaster. I loved the part that took place on the Carpathia because I never see Titanic stories spend any time there. It was also heartbreaking and rewarding to watch the MCs deal with the trauma of what they went through.
- The side characters. In true LSA fashion, the side characters in this book are wholly developed walking, talking people with flaws, desires and dreams of their own. I adore how Adams never does the side characters dirty and only uses them to further the narrative for the main couple.
-Cassian again. I'm sorry, I love that beautiful spoiled man.

Read this if you knew there was space on that damn door and they should have both survived, because this time, they do.

Ok… ok. I’ve read every one of this author’s books (ok I admit I went through their catalogue and I think I missed one but I’m not sure). And I have truly enjoyed this author’s commitment to details for the time specific themes. But I always felt like the romantic relationship left me feeling like something was off or missing.

So… I’m a “Pre-Titanic Movie” Titanic fanatic. Meaning… the tragedy was a fascination of mine from a young age and the craze over the movie actually made me boycott the movie for years. I won’t get into that but… needless to say I was intrigued about this book and the author’s attention to detail and how everything would be handled.

So… despite some issues I once again had with the relationship, which I will briefly highlight at the end of this review, I ate this book up. Truly enjoyed it. I would have given it 5 stars but for my big niggle.

This author is super talented and seems to be growing into their author legs a bit. I have hung on for a reason and I’m glad for it. I don’t have a Kindle subscription anymore so anything I read is bought outright and I will continue to support this author as long as they surprise me and continue to grow.

The niggle and spoiler

****

****

Lord almighty the “I’m in love” at 23% made my head roll and I almost DNF’d. I REALLY REALLY
REALLY wished the author had drawn out the feelings part a bit. Because this is a 412 page book and while I managed to stay invested, I wish we had drawn out that because it just felt rushed and a little silly.

****

That being said I still totally ate up this book and might even get in paperback.

Do I have to begin each review with "This is my favorite book by Logan Sage Adams!!"? No. Except that it's always true.

The romance in this novel runs on 3x, which is very believable for characters who believe they might never see each other again once the ship docks. They're still incredibly cute and have all the bonding scenes you could ever want.

Of course, there's the looming threat that we readers know all about (I can't really spoil the Titanic for anyone, can I?), but our guys have no idea. I have to say, I loved the detail in which Adams described the long and terrifying process of an ocean liner sinking, with all the dread, and fear, and confusion it warrants. (Also, don't worry, this book has a HEA! You'll just have to go through hell first, to be true to history.)

My opinion might be a little controversial here but I loved Cassian right from the beginning. I felt so bad for the poor guy. And I hear you. "June, you're feeling bad for an arrogant, entitled rich white man who has everything??" And yes, Cassian is, on paper, everything I'd normally despise. At the same time, he very clearly read as autistic to me, in a world where that just wasn't a thing to be diagnosed with in his position. Adams's portrayal of him is incredibly genuine and hits on all the points of autism that a lot of books miss entirely. (Caveat: every autistic person is different and Cassian's autism just seems to mesh perfectly with my experience. Unless you're me from the future, take this with a grain of salt.)

“Out on the ocean, they’d had the lifeboat to save them. Here and now and forever more, they’d have each other. And he knew, in his heart, that they’d make it through.”

Thank you for allowing me to read your beautiful book!!

This story is just wow.. these two deserve the world and more. I’ve always found anything about the Titanic interesting so as soon as I saw Logan Sage Adams was releasing ‘Across the Living Infinite’ I needed this book in my life.

I loved every second with these two and I kinda wish I had more time with them. Cassian is pompous and he always gets what he wants when he wants it. The journey he went on was beautiful and I love everything about him. James is the sweetest person ever and even though James has through so much and this was his next chapter in life. I just wanna give these two the biggest hug in the world.

Queer historical romance is so important.
I know Cassian and James aren’t based off real people who survived the sinking but there were definitely people just like them aboard, who had to hide their true selfs because it wasn’t excepted. All love deserves to be celebrated 🖤

Queer people have always existed and they always will!!

I’m so sad my time with them is over but James and Cassian got the happy ending they deserve and that made my heart so happy!!

I think my expectations going into this book may have been too high, because I’ve always been so intrigued by anything related to the Titanic… but it fell pretty flat for me. I will say, insta-love is probably my least favorite trope and I usually try to avoid it, so that didn’t help - though I do understand it was kind of unavoidable given their situation.

I hated Cassian, he was just unbearable and awful the entire book - James may not have minded, but I did. And I really hated their dynamic - I know there was a class separation thing, and the time period and all, I get it, but just bleh I hated it.

I was also just kind of disappointed by how short the actual sinking part felt. I was honestly pretty bored earlier in the book, it felt a bit repetitive. But I thought like ok, once we get to that part of the story it’ll be worth it. But then it happened, and it was just kind of over… and there was still a lot of book left… I don’t know, again maybe I was expecting something different but I felt pretty bored. The book took me 9 days to read when typically I read a book in 2-3 days - I kept finding myself starting a page and then picking up something else to do instead.

That being said, it was a well written story, and goes into some nice detail about the Titanic which was cool. This was maybe just not the book for me.

It is pretty rare for me to give a book 5 stars because in order for me to get that, it needs to be truly exceptional. And the author managed this with this book.

I've gotta say, I've never thought too much about the Titanic in my life. It took years for me to even watch the movie. And then I was afraid this book wouldn't have a HEA. But this book was 100 % perfection. Honestly, there wasn't even one part I disliked. I loved the pace of the relationship, the realness of it, the depiction of this time period, and all the details about the RMS Titanic. I was pretty much biting my nails when what happened with the Titanic... happened with the Titanic. When I was getting ot the end of this book, I couldn't help but pretty much smile the whole time. Cassian and James are absolutely perfect together, and with their found family, it's just wholesome.

If you're afraid of the D/s trope of the book - don't be. It's not strong d/s. It's more like James always wanting to serve and serve Cassian especially well, and Cassian being his awesome, entitled but amazingly friendly self, liking to be served to perfection.

I cannot wait to read what this author comes up with next.

This is my honest review in exchange for an ARC provided by the author.

I had an amazing opportunity to read Across the Living Infinite ahead of its release, and now that release day is coming up I wanted to share my thoughts. What started as a simple comment turned into one of the most beautiful and emotional stories I’ve read in a while.
Set aboard the Titanic, this novel gives us a love story we’ve never seen before between two men whose paths cross on the ill fated voyage. Cassian boards the ship with a first-class ticket to America alongside his fiancée and trusted right-hand man, while James begins his new life as a first class steward. When their worlds collide, it’s not just their lives at risk… but their hearts as well.
Logan’s writing completely immersed me in the story. At times I genuinely felt like I was walking the halls of the ship alongside these characters, sharing in their quiet moments, their hopes, and their fears. Knowing the fate of the Titanic only makes every moment between Cassian and James feel more precious and more heartbreaking.
This is a beautifully written story about love and loss, reminding us that following your heart often takes the greatest courage of all.

oh I adore Cassian and James and their sweet subtle flirting. This is a high swoon book so be prepared to melt and awww at every page.

Cassian is … spoilt 😂in a charming way, atleast to me, his mini tantrums are endearing, he is NOT used to not getting his way. But he is so gentle and has a soft heart and is so honourable … you have to love him. It’s easy. And James does, James who loves hard and fierce and forever, longing to serve and take care of those he loves. Don’t mistake that for not having a backbone- James’ is made of steel!! That scene in the massage room had me cheering!

Adams weaves an enthralling tale of love friendship and found family, about discovering your courage and your hearts desire, set on the doomed tragic voyage. They seemingly effortless pull and tug at your emotions talking you from giggling at Cassian’s high handed pompous mess, to swooning at how fast these two fall, to tearing up at the inevitable loss of lives aboard that ship and getting goosebumps at how people extend themselves and stick up for each other

The ending is utterly beautiful and will stay with me for a long time, it’s a breathtaking story, I am blown away.

ARC read! I love a romance on the Titanic. I loved that the author gave us the countdown for when things would go awfully wrong.

Thanks to the author for this beautiful and tragic love story! Usually, i don’t like being put on a deadline for reads, but I was so invested in this couple and obsessed with Titanic that it didn’t feel like a chore. The forbidden romance was there, the tragedy was there, the beauty of the ship was there.

My only *criticism* (which i hate to call it that because it’s more my preference) is I wish Cassian was more likable. His arrogance and rash anger made it hard to like him. I think an interesting s3xual dynamic would be to let James be the Dom to Cassian’s Sub. Cassian is dominant and in power in the world, so it would have been nice to see him relinquish control in the bedroom and to the unknown of being with a man. I’m more of a sweet romance girly though, so I’m biased to the adoring couples.

Overall, this was a great book! I’d recommend for sure! Across the Living Infinite will be published 4/15/2026 (I see what the author did there ❤️‍🩹!).

Oh where to start! I’ve been a Titanic enthusiast since I first saw her featured in National Geographic magazine when I was 9 years old, so I’ve been quick to absorb anything I can read about her. And then one day, a cosmic force decided to drop this book on my feed and suddenly my two favorite worlds were colliding (pardon the pun)!

James and Cassian were absolutely magnificent and mesmerizing, I adored them so much. I was slightly more interested in the ship and how Adams chose to feature lesser-seen rooms like the Turkish Baths, swimming pool, and even a cameo of the reading and writing room. The details of the smoking room and staterooms made it easy to feel immersed in the opulence. And the scenes after the ship hits the iceberg…well, I had to stop a few times to dry my eyes.

The HEA may not be a traditional one, but for the time I think it was perfect. It’s wonderful to see that times have, for the most part, changed enough that James and Cassian could live openly together today.

Thank you for writing this book. This fellow Titanic nerd is infinitely grateful. ❤️

Omggggg y’all, GET EXCITED FOR THE TITANIC ROMANCE!! And of course, because it’s @logan.sage.adams, it’s swoony, sweet, and full of queer joy - DO NOT WORRY, there’s a guaranteed HEA!

And the romance! James and Cassian move FAST, but I really enjoyed their dynamic. Sweet James was definitely my favorite - he’s so earnest. And while it took me a while to warm up to Cassian, he kept making me laugh - his obliviousness was honestly pretty funny at times.

All of the details of the ship and the journey itself were FASCINATING. If you also went through a Titanic era as a kid, you are going to LOVE THIS BOOK, you literally feel like you are on the ship with the characters. And while the sinking of the ship is vividly described, it feels like the trauma and loss of life is portrayed as sensitively as possible.

Across the Living Infinite is out on April 15 (and the GORGEOUS cover is coming soon, I’ll have to update my tracker!), you don’t want to miss this one!!

WOW! I absolutely, 100% LOVED this book! As a Titanic fanatic I have been waiting patiently for this book to come out when I first found out Logan was writing one and it did not disappoint! The way the author was able to tie in the tragedy of what happened to the ship and incorporate a beautiful love story out of it was genius. Cassian, our possessive first class fellow was insta lust with James, our adorable, chubby cheeked steward. Their banter, their flirting, the steamy scenes were EVERYTHING! I love how they completed each other and not only healed themselves(one character struggles with grief due to the loss of a lover a couple years before events of the ship), but helping the other discover themselves too. This was my first historical fiction MM book and I will definitely be reading more from this author! Do yourself a favor and read this book people!

It was ok. Pretty boring. I love a good Titanic story! However, this was just so repetitive. They kept having the same conversations over and over, because why?! Like each concluded with the same result so why are we talking about this again? After the ship sank, it just dragged on and on and on. Not adding much to the plot at all in my opinion. A lot of stuff was repeated several times just worded differently each time! Like, you literally just said this a few chapters ago! Now we are saying it AGAIN but just in a different way.

I really hated the ending. Like he still married Ethel! Fucking duh! That was just dumb. Like stay “single”. Who gives a shit if you choose to be a bachelor the rest of your life! So what it boils down to is he cares way more about what others think of him. Then because they are married, Ethel gets pregnant by John but has to give the baby Cassian’s last name?? No! John Quinn has every right to that baby’s last name! The whole thing was just ridiculous.

Across the Living Infinite is set during the Titanic's first and only voyage.

It centers on Cassian, a wealthy high-society businessman who travels with his fiancé, whom he does not love, from London to New York.

There is also James, an Englishman who gets a job as a steward on the ship.

The descriptions of the ship, treated almost like another character, are vivid and spot-on. (I think we’ve all seen documentaries.) I really like how the characters develop, especially Cassian, who starts the book one way and ends it in a completely different one. James also evolves, as he undergoes a significant emotional transformation.

I loved it; there’s a certain part of the book where I couldn’t help but cry, because the tension and emotional intensity are so strong.

I'm always looking forward to reading the author's next work.

Accounts of the Titanic have permeated history since its tragic accident. But what has always fascinated me are accounts of the people on board. Being openly queer rarely happened in 1912. But what if there was a queer romance aboard? Who would they be and how could they pursue each other? Logan Sage Adams is royalty when it comes to writing queer historical romance. Stories that are fictional but based in diligent research. Blending fact and fiction seamlessly. And giving readers stories about queer people and life at a time when such things weren't spoken of. James and Cassian are fantastic characters finding the love they both need, not realizing they are on a doomed vessel that will test them to their limits. This book is amazing and readers will be caught up in the lives of these brave men navigating a forbidden relationship on an unforgiving ocean.

If you enjoy histrom and you haven't picked up an Adams book WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??

Truly atmospheric in a way that is so skillful, you not only are transported in time and place setting wise, but in the way the characters act, their stations, how the world moves around them. It's truly amazing how real everything feels and I just adore these characters so very much. Cas might come off a little rough around the edges, but it's truly part of his charm I promise! And James was just so ready to step in and care for him and they just truly were made for each other.

I loved that the romance was on fast mode and it seemed like it was because they would be docking soon, but we the reader also know that they need to get it together before tragedy strikes. Those scenes are not glossed over and added so much tension. I also loved that we still got the after (truly, just loved all of it)

Was given as an ARC by the author.

Is it a spoiler in saying this a doomed trip?

Cassian knows he can be demanding and is a bit of a snob. He demands only the best of the best because he deserves it. James is a man still processing the death of a loved one for three years now, so to feel something besides grief he takes a job on the Titanic. When Cassian meets James he is instantly attracted to this man who does not mind his demanding ways. In a few short days these men fall in love. For Cassian this is a first and for James its a second chance to live again.

I know this is a doomed voyage but in reading this story I forgot. To read the realization that the ship is sinking got to me and I truly was worried not only for Cassian and James but the others on the ship.

4.5⭐️ as a ridiculous titanic nerd, I knew it would love this story. I love a book that makes me stay up waaaaayyyyy longer than I should have. In fact, im writing this having to get up for work in 3 hours. Do I care about lack of sleep, no! I had been anxiously awaiting this books release and I was going to finish it.
Anyway the historical accuracy was top notch. When I read historical queer stories, I am reminded every day how far we have come. Yay for lavender marriages! My only wish on this aspect is that it covered more of during the sinking. I enjoyed though how it brought up the trauma of going thru the situation and the PTSD that comes with it. And how they'd be each other's lifeboat.
I read this on another comment and I hope they dont mind me re-saying it, because it is a perfect description.....
Read this if you know they could have both fit on the door. Because this time they do.

I always loved the sad story about Titanic so when I saw that there is MM romance that takes place on Titanic between a 1st class steward and a 1st class passenger, I was immediately hooked. And I didn't regret any second spent with Cassian and James. For us today is almost unimaginable how difficult decisions had to be for men 114 years ago with the society and a lot of prejudices around traditional marriage and gay relationships. I appreciated that the story doesn't end after rescue from Titanic (like in the movie) but also goes deep in the problems that all the survivors had to go through. If you like the story of Titanic and MM romances, you should definitely give this one a try and you won't regret.

Laughter and tears, gasping and blushing — James and Cassian’s story truly makes you feel every emotion, sometimes all at once.

Logan Sage Adams has done it again and written such a fantastic historical MM romance. I am always so impressed with the research they clearly put into these books to make them feel historically accurate and transport you to another era in time. I truly felt like a fly on the wall during the entire book.

From tension in the beginning, to heartache in the middle, and such a heartwarming ending; Across The Infinite has topped the charts as my favorite thing Logan Sage Adams has written.

Any fan of the Titanic will definitely enjoy this book. It’s a love story to the Titanic as much as it is a love story between the two main characters. At times you’ll think how is this ever going to turn out well both because they’re ON THE TITANIC as well as because of the period typical homophobia and classism. Across the Living Infinite is an unexpected character study into one of the first class passengers as he falls for a first class steward. Minus the occasional pacing issue (which may be attributed to the fact there’s a historically mandated timeline, this story is a lovely read.

4.5 stars rounded up. Absolutely loved these characters, and the story was wonderful. Logan Sage Adams does such a fantastic job researching and bringing the past to life in her books. The ship detail and the sinking were excellent. Cas and James were made for each other and adorable together, although their feelings and love confessions did feel a bit rushed and front-loaded. Given the scope of the story and everything it covered, it’s only a small criticism 😊

I received an arc from the author. These are my honest opinions.

James an Cassian were everything, thy were so pure and so cute, so naive and so in love with each other.

When I heard about a gay romance during the sinking of the Titanic I was like “this is genius”, and I it was.

I honestly expected the author to bypass the sinking and give us little glimpses of it but no, we got the full experience and it was glorious.

Hopefully I can write a longer review later, but for now, I'll say:

I'm a little obsessed with Titanic already (I think I've watched almost all the documentaries 😅), and I cannot explain how excited I was for this book!!!

And now that I've read it? OMFG IT'S EVERYTHING I WANTED *AND* MORE!! Seriously.

Logan's book are always just something else. I loved everything about this, James and Cassian might be tied for my favorite couple. I love Cassian's personality so much and James clearly does too. Also the friendship between Cassian, John, James and Ethel is the sweetest I love them. If you like historical romance you will love this!

I spent so much time thinking this book is so sweet and beautiful that for a bit I forgot it was a story set on the Titanic (even though I was reading it 🤣). I was so filled with heart eyes that I was not prepared for the tears and the audible gasp (let's be honest, there was more than one) that came from my face. As a life long Titanic nerd, I knew I had to read this story as soon as I first heard about it. It was everything I could have wanted it to be. Logan never fails to deliver an amazing story and Cassian and James have passion, humor, and so much heart.

What an absolute delight this love story was, which all started over a bowl of potatoes!

James has taken a job on the world famous, unsinkable Titanic, working as a steward for the wealthy and elite. Having already loved and lost, he doesn’t anticipate falling for autistic-coded, teensy bit arrogant (but you won’t be mad about it), gazillionaire Cassian Livingston.

The class differences between the two men are glaring (this is the early 1900’s after all) but James resolutely knows his worth even if it means a broken heart. I enjoyed watching Cassian develop his own understanding of romantic love and the strong feelings he has for James, when the notion doesn’t come naturally to him.

The sinking scenes were so sensitively and heartbreakingly written, but thankfully my heart did go on because the ending was superb.

Who is it for:
If you love heart-in-your-throat romance, set in a time period where the happy outcome you need seems impossible for so many reasons.

✨MM
✨Historical romance
✨Set on the Titanic
✨Class difference
✨Dom/sub

I generously received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
