I don’t usually read this genre, dark fantasy with a magical undertone, but my girlfriend read it and kept talking about it. This book surprised the heck out of me. What grabbed me wasn’t just the theme but the strong loyalty, the Tribe feels real. These characters aren’t soft or predictable. They are battle scarred sarcastic, protective and willing to burn the world down for each other. The writing pulls you in fast. Really reminds me of how my brothers and I interact. Power that comes from surviving the unthinkable, this read delivers. Really hoping there will be another book because surprisingly I am now invested.

This was an unexpected surprise. I did not expect it to hit me the way it did. The back cover grabbed me instantly, and the rest of the book delivered even more. It reminds me of a tight knit magical family fighting to survive in a world that’s been forgotten. It’s magic, found Family, sarcasm and unbreakable loyalty. It’s a fantastic book, you should give it a read.

Filled with magic and sarcasm and some seriously intense interactions. After reading it, it made me want my own Tribe. I got very caught up in their intense loyalty and shared trauma without being overwhelmed. Some of the chapters made me laugh so hard I had to write down some of their One of their one liners .I really hope there’s going to be a second book.

It was a bit hard to follow in the beginning but things came together nicely and it grabbed me. I’m not a big reader, but it was worth it.

well written, magic, fantasy. entertaining. not my typical book to read . but I enjoyed it.
