Melinda Brown doesn’t want much in life, graduate university and survive.

Prince Alexander has everything, surrounded by riches and spoiled to the core. Everything he’s ever wanted has been at the tip of his finger due to his prestigious status as future King of England.

Despite coming from two different worlds, they share the same university. One day, everything changes when the two crash into each other’s lives, literally.

As they both enter each other’s worlds, they’re forced to make compromises for the sake of their growing attraction.

Will Melinda and Alexander be able to win people with their love, especially when it becomes clear that they both hide secrets? Or will Prince Alexander be denied for the first time by the first woman that he truly wants? Not everything is as it seems in Royal Mayhem.

I would like to say thank you to the wings and words arc community and the author Samatha Jayne Grubey for giving me the opportunity to arc read this book.
I love this book it made me laugh I think the characters are amazing and I love how sweet and caring and charming the Mmc Alexander is and how strong independent and sassy the mfc Melinda is. The mmc little sister is so cute and an incredible character I felt so connected to the little sister. I think this book is a worth while sweet romance story. All the side characters were amazing and had a big impact on the story. I also loved that the book was set in the UK because it was relatable and it was rare and interesting to see because not many books Ive read have been set in the UK and it makes the story more unique and interesting for me as someone who is from the UK

Thank you to Beth at Wings & Words for sending me the e-arc book of Royal Mayhem by Samantha Jayne Grubey.

Oh wow! I couldn’t put this book down! I highly recommend, the book was easy to read and there is lots of banter between both main characters.

We follow the point of view of Melinda and Alexander who both come from different backgrounds and each have their own struggles in life.
Melinda is working at Daisy’s Diner as much as she can to try and pay off the debts that her mum had taken out in her name as well as studying at university.
Alexander feels trapped, and decides to go to university to escape his royal duties. He meets Melinda at Daisy’s Diner and there relationship develops from there…

The book ends on a cliff hanger! And I really need to know what happens next, Hopefully there will be a book 2 soon!

Thanks to Wings & Words for this ARC & of course Samantha Jayne Grubey.

Jumping in we install meet our FMC Melinda. Straight away I felt sorry for her & took an instant dislike to her mother, the mother isnt much of a mother in my eyes. I feel bad for Melinda, University and working to try and keep a house going when it should be her mother doing it.
Chapter 2 we meet our MMC Alexander. And the difference in their lives becomes evident instantly.
The side character Melinda's best friend Megan, is pretty epic and halerious 🤣🤣.
I loved the fact its set in the UK.
It had quite abit of twists and turns and hiding things for each other for it to all blow and be like damnnnn.
Overall I surprisingly enjoyed this read & the fact it leaves you hanging in the balance waiting for more and book 2 is 🙈😮‍💨

I really wanted to like this book but it has so many issues. First of all, as a British Royal enthusiast it was hard to come to terms with how the whole monarchy is laid out in this book as compared to what it is in reality. The storyline is also very disjointed where you’re flipping between events and places and storylines that leave the reader confused. Not to mention the book ends on a cliffhanger and there’s no note as to if this is a standalone or if there’s going to be more than one of these. The writing was just okay and parts of it were hard to follow. This was almost a DNF but I finished it.

I was an ARC reader for this book through Wings and Words 💜 I absolutely loved this book it's sweet and easy to read the dynamics between Alex and Melinda are brilliant so snarky and fun , You can tell Alex isn't happy with his restrictive royal life never being able to truly be himself and the way he falls for Melinda with her sarcastic attitude, serious money problems and strong work dynamic is so cute but hiding secrets is obviously a bad idea and this book ends in such a massive cliff hanger 😭 cannot wait for book 2 to find out where this story goes 💜

Thank you to Beth at Wings & Words for sending me the e-arc book of Royal Mayhem by Samantha Jayne Grubey.

I loved this book, the characters were well written and very lovable, Our MFC has a sarcastic attitude, strong work ethic and is feisty independent. All she wants to do is pay off her debts and get her degree. Our MMC is Sweet, Snarky and Caring, they both has secrets and secrets always find a way to come out.

This book is a duet and ends on a cliff hanger, be prepared because I wasn't. Cant wait to read book 2.

3.5 stars..

the writing and story started off so well, I was really enjoying how the scene and characters were set out and developed. I feel at around 40% it lost its way a little.. elements were rushed and the timeline didnt make sense in parts.

the cliffhanger, im intrigued i do want to know what happens next and I loved Mel and Alex characters.
