When is friendship not right? Friendship is wonderful until it isn’t. Until it’s standing in the way of something else. This delightful book explores that issue. Tate went to high school with Gemma but they were really never friends. When Tate walks into Gemma’s custom jewelry shop, things have changed and he is interested in much more than friendship. But Gemma is shy and seems uncomfortable so Tate says he just wants to be friends. Years have past his love for her has only grown and he regrets that friend classification every day. A sweet story of the struggles, problems, disasters, loss, and growth that follow Tate and Gemma as they examine their relationship. An engaging read. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
Tate finally tells Gemma how he feels about her and her reaction is something he’s been afraid of happening for eight long years. Because of her parent’s relationship she’s certain marriage isn’t for her, especially with her best friend. After Tate is in a car accident that results in a serious hand injury among others, Gemma is certain they can be friends again, but being friends is not what Tate wants. It takes some time, patience, help from their friends and love to bring them together in a HEA. I received this book for free from the author to review and these are my own thoughts and opinions.
Tate has been such a presence in several books. He has always been the fun, outgoing guy until his accident. He had just got done sharing He was in love with his best friend when he had his accident. Gemma, the best friend thought she loved him as a brother until her friends helped he see otherwise.
I love Tate and Gemma's story. They have waited so long for it to be shared. I love the flashbacks that tell their past as best friends. I love how they work through their problems together. Wonderful!
Loved it!!! Tate stole my heart and I was rooting for him to finally get the girl. I usually don't like flashbacks, but these were really good and explained how Tate basically friend zoned himself. Gemma grew on me as her back story came out. What an amazing group of friends they both have. I think Tate might be my favorite male character in this series - well so far. A friends to more story that will leave you smiling. Looking forward to the final two friends and hope they get their story together.
