A gentle, Christ-centered read that showed how practicing daily gratitude could deepen faith and bring clarity, peace, and hope!

Grounded in Scripture and personal testimony, it reframed suffering as a place to recognize God’s presence and grow closer to Him. Clark revealed his incomprehensible and unexplainable struggles, while he made these messages practical and encouraging!

“Through gratitude, I began to recognize the prescence of Christ . . . Peace replaced panic. Joy began to outweigh pain. Hope took root where despair had once lived. Gratitude . . . Saved my life.” -Clark

“Give thanks in all circumstances,”
-1 Thessalonians 5:18

“Gratitude invites God’s Peace into places where fear once lived.” -Clark

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
-Collosians 3:15

“Your worth is not in what you can do for God. Your worth is in who you are to God.” -Clark

“This is what gratitude does. It reveals the sacred in the mundane.” -Clark

“Gratitude is a way of seeing. A way of listening. A way of living, shaped by the presence of God.” -Clark 💌

4.5 stars! I am thankful for Mr. Clark sharing is his journey with us in this book and I'm thankful to have received a free copy to read. The preface/introduction grabbed me right away as the author shared his inspirational and difficult story. After the preface, the book is in 3 parts - Learning to See God's Hand, Gratitude that Shapes the Heart and a 30-day Practice of Gratitude. I read through this fairly quickly stopping only to grab my journal or Bible to jot something down or highlight a verse. But the book is set up more like a devotional and I now will go back and re-read slower. My only complaint is there is quite a bit of repetition in the book. I look forward to recommending this book to others.

Adding Biblical strength to Gratitude

Dr Clark adds biblical and theological strength to the all important topic of gratitude. Well, much research has focused recently on the psychological benefits of gratitude, a careful reading of this book will add biblical support for that subject. It should be read devotional and not as a theology book. It is stirring and encouraging. It gets five stars because it does something no other book that I have found really does, and does it very well.

What an Encouraging Resource!

I was first attracted to this book by the subject: A book on GRATITUDE in today's world? How refreshing is that?! Then I read the synopsis of the book and discovered that the author has every human reason to be the bitterest person on earth. Why isn't he? Why isn't he, indeed! I strongly recommend this book and have already suggested it to an international Christian organization whose purpose is to help disabled people all over the world.

I'm grateful for Gratitude

Gratitude is a well considered and written book. With insights and application that can transform a life from bleakness to hope, peace and joy. I know I will use what I've learned to gratefully see God all around me, sustaining me.
