This series has had my heart from the start, but we really needed more pages in this book. It was such a short book that it left a few gaps.
Everything felt slightly rushed and I feel like if instead of separating them into two books, the author had made it into 1 bigger book, it would've given her more room to develop the character's relationships with Rowan a bit more and give more space to introduce new pieces of story starting on the 2nd book.
I love most of the characters, but can't seem to empathize with Cade since most of the time, he's being a dick just for the sake of being a dick and calling it "keeping her safe". If their relationship had been explored more, I feel like it would've been easier to connect with him and fall in love with his complex character like the others.
Besides, the book basically revolves around her training, but the whole thing it's a little off because, despite being a shifter, she's not like Talon, so it doesn't really make sense that in such a short period of time she'd manage to control her wolf in the same way he did when Talon took years to manage control of his own.
Really great book, super entertaining, it just needed a little more room for development.
