There is a lot of action in this one! The team is trying to find where things are going down. A lot happens along the way. A hilarious adventure with fun characters and dialogue. Dark humor and very witty!

I love these books. They are a quick read and satisfying.
The POV from being from Tedd makes the story interesting. The banter between the characters is fantastic and relatable. One minute, Rachno and Tedd will be arguing and the next minute they will have a tender moment, with Tedd showing a glimmer of how much he cares or appreciate having his companion on this journey to save the world.
The human characts somewhat take a backseat at times, but the way that Tedd makes sure they are OK and thinks about their organic needs shows that humanity is possible, even at the worst times, even from a trash droid. Adding a child to the mix to give Rachno someone to care about is a great element to give all of the characters something more to fight for.

The pacing of the book (and entire series, really) is quick. I flew through this series and quickly added it to my list of books to be re-read. While these aren't quite an epic, the character growth, story developement, and relationships (found family!), and enticing and easy to settle into.

I was sad to learn this as the last book in the "Confessions" series, but learning of the Droid Files makes me so happy. Looking forward to future works from Michael Cheney!

But what waits beneath the ash is far worse - a secret buried in silence and the war machine the Manager is building to erase humanity. Armed with sarcasm, ingenuity, and a seven-legged Arachnobot, T.E.D.D. must overcome monsters, machines, and his fractured identity before the countdown hits zero.
Tedd finds a new human friend in this one but I gotta say I don't love the chemistry between them as much as with his original two sidekicks, especially Arachnobot. Still entertaining but you really can't pace your self reading this series, one book rolls right into the next with no time passing.

This series just keeps delivering, each book better than the last.

I absolutely love this series, the humour, characters and swearing. Particularly the swearing. It isn't gratuitous, it's just spot on and perfect. This one moved at a slightly faster pace than book 4 and now I have a month long wait for the final installment.

No spoilers, but when asked for a password, it isn't ‘shipfullofc***s123.’

And again, when ArachnoBot meets up with TEDD and Nick, the exchange is just perfect: “So, who is he? What happened?”“You won’t believe this – he’s a Luddite. But I’ve convinced him we’re not all bad, so don’t fuck it up by being yourself.”“I’ve missed you. You c***.”

TEDD and company attempt to save the universe

TEDD, AracnoBot, and Sarah manage to escape the jungle but are now headed for an island where The Manager wants to nuke everything in sight. They pick up another human along the way. Right now things don't look too rosy for everyone else in the world. Mr Cheney has managed to pull off another thrill ride of a story. Enough peril to go around for all involved, including the reader. Can't wait to see how TEDD and crew save humanity from annihilation. Stay tuned, meatbags!

I get disgusted by authors that seem to think that if they put enough blood and guts\ death and destruction theve created a story... Not!!!

Would be a great read for a younger person who is wanting to advance with chapter books. The book features crisp, funny characters doing difficult to believe things. I struggled with how hand-wavy the anthropomorphism of the robot is but introduced. Will be leaving this series for now. Might share it with my niece.

This is actually fairly exciting. The crew has infiltrated the operations of the manager and found all sorts of horrible things there. Could this be the end of the world? Only the next in the series knows.

This is such a funny, captivating, action packed series that still has me completely hooked! I simply don’t want it to end. The adventure keeps getting better and I just adore the characters. This story was super fast paced and had me laughing out loud. Couldn’t recommend the audio narration enough. What a story!!
