In a world where war has ravaged two rival mafia families, the Vipers and the Panthers, Charlotte must learn quickly how to become a mafia princess. What started as a war for territory, now has become a game of leveling the playing field. Blood has been shed, and lives have been lost during this endless brutal war for power.

Charlotte was taken from her parents' crime scene by the leader of the Vipers, Dimitri Angeloff. He has brought her home for his four sons to protect as if she were their own flesh and blood. She might not have been born into the mafia, but her new brothers will make certain she thrives.

Charlotte must figure out the ways of the mafia in order to survive this deadly world she was brought into. This will include learning to live while her protective brothers watch her every move. When Charlotte convinces Dimitri to allow her to follow her brothers to college, he agrees but with one term.

Charlotte will have a new bodyguard assigned to her. An ex-military, broody man that is in every way off limits to her.

ARC Review

I first read Vipers Den back in January and the way it ended had me FOAMING at the mouth for book two. I’m so glad I received an arc from Abby Moore herself. The wait was honestly so worth it. I loved every single part of Vipers Lair. I knew going into it that it was going to be very emotional and I felt all of those emotions and more. Obviously I don’t want to give too much away as this is the second book, but just know it very much healed a part of me.

If you love a dark mafia romance, you should for sure check this one out!

(As always check your triggers)

Thank you to the author herself for allowing me to be an arc reader!

Absolutely an amazing second book!!! Ended the duet perfectly and completely satisfying! The emotions that abby is able to throw in here is TOP notch! I was hit back to back with so many powerful emotions! I absolutely loved Char's & Finn's relationship going through this book. If you read Vipers Den, then you know how hard that ending was, so seeing char have to mentally go through all of that and end up healing into an amazing character was so nice to read! Finn did make me want to kick him out at some moments 😑 But he grew on me by the end. 🤣

Im so excited where Abby will take the brothers story!

(Thank you so much Abby for allowing me to beta read this amazing book) Oh also side note to readers, when you get to chapter 22... just keep reading, dont do a completely stop on reading because of the first sentence 🤣 IYKYK...

Abby has blown me away with this one! I felt every single emotion under the sun from sadness to anger to happiness for Charlotte on her journey of healing, but also Finn, ugh, he’s swoon worthy and literally what I wish everyone in real life could have to help them cope with their trauma! I am so sad this journey is over but I am SO excited that charlottes brothers will get their own books! If you are looking for your next 5 star read, PICK THIS UP!!!!

After book 1 I had to immediately read book 2.

Just like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Charlotte comes back stronger, fiercer and impossible not to root for. She isn't defined by what happened in book one! Oh no, not her! She fights, heals and refuses to let her trauma be the end of her story even if she had some bumps in the road to get to this place.

She is fueled by the need for revenge. Charlotte takes risks that had me feeling every emotion and sometimes crying/screaming at my book. Finn - this man! He never stopped fighting to stand beside her. Watching them rebuild their relationship into something even stronger was one of my favorite parts - it wasn’t easy all the time. Charlotte got what can be called an HEA for her and she deserved it.

My favorite line from the book came from Finn:
"You can cry, but I need you to still be the woman you have fought to become. Do you understand me?"

I also can't wait to see what direction the author takes with Charlotte's brothers. Their stories feel like they're just getting explored and I'm excited to see where they go from here.
If you want to read a mafia story, that’s nitty, gritty, has a strong familial bond, a family that doesn’t quit on each other and a bad ass FMC then pick this up! Read the trigger warnings for the book to be prepared.

Viper Liar follows Charlotte’s healing journey after the terrible things that happened to her in those woods by the Panther Prince and his men. Finn is so patient and caring! He knows what she needs without her having to voice it. This is an emotional read so get the Kleenex ready! She comes out on top stronger emotionally and physically! The ending made me so happy !!! My favorite quote: "I don't believe myself to be a mafia queen at all because of that, I think I am strong for surviving what you did to me. I think that I am better because of what you put me through."

This book has everything you could want in a mafia romance. The love between the lead characters is genuinely heartwarming, and the action keeps you glued to the pages, always needing to know what happens next. It’s a powerful and satisfying conclusion to Charlotte’s story, and honestly, it deserves more than five stars. Abby Moore’s growth as an author truly shines here—her writing, pacing, and emotional depth have reached a whole new level. I can’t wait for The Nevalas in this series!

Abby Moore absolutely delivered with Viper’s Lair. I thought Viper’s Den set the bar high, but this sequel had even more tension, higher stakes, and so many moments that had me flying through the pages.

The chemistry is undeniable, but what I loved most was watching the characters grow while navigating the dangerous world around them. Every twist felt earned, and the balance between the mafia elements, romance, and suspense kept me completely invested.

If you’re looking for a mafia romance with obsessive love, fierce loyalty, emotional moments, and enough action to keep your heart racing, this series is a must-read. Abby Moore knows how to keep the tension high while making you care deeply about the characters.

Now excuse me while I impatiently wait for the next book because I’m not ready to leave this world yet.

Vipers Lair by Abby Moore

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was the PERFECT ending to the duet! Holy moly the healing in this is broken and felt very realistic! You really feel for Charlie’s character. The plate part felt so fitting to her and Griffins story! I loved every second of it. After the events of the first book it makes perfect sense why this one was the way it was.

I love that this was released in April for SA awareness month and I sincerely hurt for all who have gone through anything along those lines. This is a true novel about family and girl power. It was extremely empowering to see Charlie’s ARC and how the ones she loved helped her through the traumas she endured in their own ways. This really opened my eyes to how traumatic experiences affect those around you. It was beautifully written and I highly recommend the duet to dark romance mafia readers who crave revenge and an extremely well rounded mafia series!

I can’t wait for the next books!! Thank you for the ARC Abby! 🖤

Viper’s Lair by Abby Moore completely consumed me. From the first page, it drags you into a world that’s dangerous, addictive, and impossible to walk away from. The tension is thick, the characters are morally gray in the best way, and the chemistry? Absolutely lethal.

This isn’t a soft romance—it’s raw, intense, and filled with power, obsession, and survival. The FMC is strong in a way that makes you root for her through every brutal twist, and the MMC(s) bring that dark, possessive energy that makes the whole story feel electric.

I couldn’t put it down. If you love dark romance with high stakes, emotional depth, and just the right amount of chaos, this one will have you hooked.

Check your triggers—but if you’re ready for something gritty and unforgettable, Viper’s Lair delivers.

I was give the chance to get this as an ARC from the author and let me start off by saying - she did NOT disappoint! Everyone needs to add this to their TBR🖤

I have been on the edge of my seat ever since I finished the first book in this series. Vipers Den left a hole in my heart that I’ve been constantly searching for something to fill. Little did I know, I just had to be a little patient for Vipers Lair to release.

Abby Moore has shown so much character growth through Charlie. The way she’s starting to understand her emotions after the trauma she endured - top tier writing my friends!
As I’m reading I’m sitting here trying to fight off tears for Charlie who has encountered such hardships, it’s beyond relatable. The first chapter and the start of the second has absolutely sucked me into the story. It feels as if I’m standing right next to Charlie. It takes a lot from an author to make me feel like I’m a part of the story. However, I don’t think this will be a problem at all for Vipers Lair.

I’m already emotionally unwell. 😩This book has already taken me through every emotion a person can possibly feel. Like girl you had me feeling; heartbreak, rage, hope, confusion, and that quiet kind of love that sneaks up on you. It’s been a roller coaster for me and this book is just beyond perfect!

• My heart shattered for Finn almost immediately, and knowing we’ll eventually see things from his perspective has me desperate to understand what’s going on inside his head. The tension between everyone is so thick you can practically feel it through the pages.

And then… chapter four.
That ending??? I had to sit there staring at the page like there is absolutely no way that just happened. The author drops these little moments that make you question who someone really is, who they used to be, and who they might become again.
• There are twists hiding in plain sight that you don’t fully catch until they start unraveling. Little details that seem small at first suddenly feel like they carry so much weight later. UGH - HAD ME KICKING MY FEET LIKE A SCHOOL GIRL 🫢

Charlotte… 👀there’s a moment involving a ring that feels so much deeper than just jewelry. It’s symbolic in a way that makes you stop and reread the scene because you realize it represents so much more than what it looks like on the surface.

Then there are lines that just completely wreck you emotionally. Like when the strong, untouchable mafia prince suddenly shows a crack in his armor, and you realize how much pain everyone is carrying beneath the surface. OR when the man she loves declares “I will always be yours” ABSOLUTE SWOON WORTH

•• overall👇🏽 ••
I’m beyond blessed to be a part of Abby Moore’s team and I’m honored to receive an ARC copy of this book. She has blown my mind once again with her writing. She has now turned one of my least favorite tropes into a masterpiece. Hands down. Chiefs kiss. Will forever be talking about Charlotte and Finn 😩

ARC review of Vipers Lair.

Omg…. Abby has done it again!!!

Absolutely breathtaking! "Vipers Lair" is a gripping tale of love, loss, and vengeance set against the backdrop of a decades-long mafia war. Charlotte Angeloff's journey from a kidnapped princess to a potential peacemaker or destroyer is nothing short of mesmerizing.

The emotional depth of this story is profound, particularly in watching Charlotte's healing process from the trauma inflicted by Dominic, a mafia panther prince. The tender and patient love she finds with Finn is a balm to her wounds, a beacon of hope amidst the brutality. It's beautiful to witness their bond deepen as Finn supports her healing. The way he lets her re-find herself even if he doesn’t agree with how she chooses to do so is truly breathtaking. He has always just stood back and let his woman be the bad ass she was destined to be!! We all need a golden retriever yet morally grey man who will burn the world down for his girl, like Finn.

The portrayal of Charlotte's father and brothers is both beautiful and heart-wrenching. Their struggle to reconcile their love for her with their thirst for revenge on the Panthers adds layers of complexity to an already compelling story. The way they have to navigate their want for revenge while still doing what’s best for their sister is a true testament of a family who would do anything for each other.

"Vipers Lair" is a must-read, a story that will stay with you long after you turn the final page. If you're looking for your next mocha Mafia romance that will have you fully engulfed in the story, emotionally attached to all the characters, and leave you wanting more of the brothers' story, this is it. For those of you who have navigated the stages of grief and healing from a traumatic experience, this story will connect with you on a deeply personal level, tugging at your heartstrings with its raw and honest portrayal of resilience.

Thank you Abby for trusting me with this beautiful emotional story of yours. I would recommend this story to absolutely anybody.

🤎ARC REVIEW🤎
This is the second book in the duet and omfg I cried so much. The first book ends on a brutal cliffhanger where Charlotte is raped, and this one follows her healing journey but knowing that parts of the story are based on the author’s real life honestly made it hit even harder. Charlotte goes through a lot in this book there’s panic attacks, self harm, depression, PTSD, and some seriously self destructive choices. It’s messy and painful, but it also feels very real. At the same time, she’s trying to get revenge on Dom which turns out to be way harder than expected because that man is somehow always one step ahead as if he already read the script before everyone else. The war between the families takes out so many people on both sides, but losing Lev and Cora absolutely wrecked me like excuse me while I sit here emotionally damaged for a bit. And the plot twists omfg someone literally betrays the Angeloffs and helps aid the enemy by planting a bomb in their car, and I’m still sitting here like WHO DID IT AND DID THEY DIE?? Because I need answers. Thankfully, Charlotte does get her happy ending with Finn by getting married and you can see she’s starting to heal from everything she’s been through, which was honestly the emotional relief I desperately needed by the end. But ALSOOOOO can we talk about Griffin for a second?? This man is apparently getting married and not to Mara, who literally knew they were in the mafia like when did that happen. Anyways sir I’m sorry but I need to see how that mess plays out because there is no way that’s not going to be dramatic.

Oh my word!!!!!!! This book was everything. I really enjoyed Viper’s Den. However, Viper’s Lair was amazing!!! I fell in love with Finn and Charlotte (Charlie) in book one. I absolutely adore their relationship. The development ad growth of both of these characters just made me giddy and smile. I sure hope there are additional books in this series planned, because I need more. I need Bank’s story. Oh I definitely need more of Griffin…does he follow his heart with Miss Sassy and Feisty or does he do what’s best for the “family”. I NEED answers!!!!!! And oh Phoenix…sweet Phoenix. I fell in love with his character when they first brought Charlotte home in book 1. I feel there is so much more to his story. He’s so much more reserved on the surface, but I feel he’s got so much more in him. Finally, I’ve got to know what happened with Dominic, I need to see more. Oh yeah, and Dimitri…I need to know his “retirement” story. So many characters I’ve just fallen in love with.
Abby’s writing and storytelling finishing this book in one day. I had to know what would happen next. If you love a mafia romance, check out Viper’s Den and Viper’s Lair by Abby Moore.
Oh and I’m going to need get a rage house for myself. 😂

I read and absolutely loved book one Vipers Den and could not wait for book two Vipers Lair!! It was absolutely such an amazing read!!!

The end of book one was such a heavy cliffhanger and left Charlotte and her family on the defensive and ready for war.

Vipers Lair picks up a time after the events of book one. Charlotte is in the clutches of her trauma and fighting herself and trying to portray like nothing is wrong to everyone on the outside. She is struggling with trauma from the event and with her feelings and emotions after the trauma. She thinks she is alone in this and no one can see her pain or her lifelessness.

Finn is out of his element he is a hardened trained military and mafia man and yet he cannot help but feel lost. He wants to be there for Charlotte and help her but can’t due to her putting up barriers and cutting him off and keeping him out of her life.

Throughout this book Charlotte and Finn will face new challenges and trauma while trying to help her heal and navigate the war her family is trying to finish.

I absolutely loved Finn and how he was so dedicated and determined to help Charlotte and not let her get lost in her trauma.

This is a must read absolutely 5 star read!!!

First off I would like to thank beautiful Abby for sending me this arc and allowing me to read this early. This book was amazing, I can easily keep going on about how good it is. Viper’s Lair is so good and an amazing Mocha Mafia where the grit and family comes out on top. Abby crafts a high-stakes, visceral world, but the true standout is the profound character depth. Unlike many stories in the genre, every side character has a rich, layered history that makes you genuinely invest in their survival. Charlotte’s character progression is spectacular. It’s a steady, earned transformation that allows you to follow her growth and truly care about her journey from start to finish. The romance and love is amazing and has deep depth and true feeling to it. The background stories Abby gives to those who deserve it ensure that you aren't just reading a plot—you’re living through the experiences of a complex "found family." Such a great book two!!

I thought I loved Vipers Den well be prepared for a heart shattering story.
Charlotte’s story is raw, emotional, and impossible to put down. After everything she’s been through, watching her slowly rebuild herself was just as powerful as the romance itself. Finn is so devoted to her and getting to know more about how her trauma also broke him makes the wait worth it even more. He puts everyone above her no questions asked. The book balances the intensity of the mafia world with a deeply personal journey of healing, showing that strength can grow from the darkest experiences.
I seriously can’t wait to see what the next book brings and who we get to learn more about.
If you love a mafia romance with revenge plot to heal from trauma this is definitely your next read (after Vipers den hehehe)

This duology was my first ever mafia romance read and I was not disappointed! Abby wrote a heartbreakingly beautiful story that will stick with you. The characters are written with so much depth that you get emotionally attached and feel like you are experiencing everything with them. The love story between Finn and Charlotte was perfection. The patience, understanding, and growth that they endure together is admirable and Finn is by far one of my new favorite book boyfriends. If you’re looking for found family, mafia romance, a strong fmc, and an MMC that would burn down the world for their girl, this is the book for you!

Viper’s Lair by Abby Moore completely pulled me in. I absolutely loved it. Charlotte’s journey felt so real her healing, the uncertainty, and the way she second guessed herself the whole time made her incredibly relatable. You really feel what she’s going through instead of just watching it happen.

The mafia romance element adds a lot of intensity, and the protective men in her life bring that mix of safety and tension that keeps things interesting. I also liked how the story didn’t rush her into a relationship just for the sake of romance there’s this ongoing question of whether she’s actually ready, which makes everything feel more grounded and meaningful.

it’s the kind of book that pulls on your emotions while still giving you that gripping, protective, high stakes romance vibe. If you enjoy stories with strong emotional depth, complicated healing, and a touch of danger mixed into the romance, this one really delivers.

If you want a medium-length mocha mafia romance that will keep you engaged the ENTIRE time, Vipers Den > Vipers Lair are perfect!! This book kept me on my toes the entire story! I knew Charlie was a strong FMC, but I definitely didn't expect the power she brought in this book. She overcame SO much, yet she embodies resilience. Vipers Lair captures SO many themes and truly is SO well executed. Forever rooting for Charlie and Finn, and can't WAIT to see where the brothers' storylines go from here!

When I say I cried, I mean I bawled my eyes out for the first half of this book. Unfortunately I can relate a little too well on how Charlotte felt along her healing journey, which is why I give it 5 stars. I wish I could give it more than 5 honestly. The way it felt to be seen and even validated through a book with someone else’s story was amazing and empowering. As Charlotte struggled I remembered how I did in my darker times and by the end I realized how much I had healed along with her journey too. Abby wrote this so beautifully and I’m so dang proud of her! This book will forever hold a special place in my heart and for anyone who ever has to relate I’m so sorry 🩷

Now Abby I need Griffin and Amara’s story!!

This book was so emotional for me, I've been through some of what Charlie has and done some of the things she did to cope. I really appreciate how Abby Moore covered the topic, it was very well done, but do be sure to read the trigger warnings.

There were moments throughout that I was brought to tears, and others where a smile or a laugh popped out. I also feel that there are more stories that could be written in this world and I would happily snatch them up.

If you love an emotional roller coaster of a book and are into mafia romance at all, this series is for you!
