Rate this book

Jahangir Muhammad Arif is an aspiring writer. In fact, his first book, as a sole author, is yet to be published. More than a dozen books have been published where he was the editor or contributor or researcher. In some books his name was stated properly, in most of the books not. His journey to become a writer was started in the mid-eighties, when he was a student, by writing in and publishing various little magazines and periodicals like, Pilsunj, Durbar, Phulki, Dwanda-Ananda, Ekhaney Kokhono, Leo Voice etc.

This endeavor came to a halt in the mid-nineties, when Arif started his professional life as a Mechanical Engineer. The quiescence prolonged as he decided to back to school and pursue for MBA.

The long silence came to an end when Bengali blogs got attention of readers in the mid of the first decade of this millennium. Arif started writing in various Bangla blogs. But he was more regular in online writers’ forum ‘ Sachalayatan ’.

Arif writes mostly on the history of Bengal, the liberation war, economics, contemporary issues, short stories, literature review and travelogue. He also translated few short stories of Assamese and Bulgarian writers into Bangla.
