I did not really care for this storyline. The FMC is being stalked and is receiving notes and text messages that genuinely scare her, so she decides to take a self defense class to learn how to protect herself. That is where she meets the MMC.
The relationship moves way too fast. Within days he has her living in his house and he starts treating her like a child almost immediately. The speed of the relationship made everything feel rushed and uncomfortable.
There were also moments where the MMC made comments that almost made it seem like he could be the stalker, which I thought was where the story was going. But nothing really came from that idea, which was frustrating because it would have made the story more interesting.
Instead, at one point he just tells her that the police caught the stalker and she is safe now, but she never gets contacted, never gives a statement, and never really gets closure. That part felt unrealistic and unfinished.
Also, the level of regression in this book goes very young, all the way to an infantile level. If that is something you are okay with, you might like this more than I did, but it was not really for me.
It started as a nice story and, for once, the grammar and spelling were proper. (Kind of rare in this genre.) But I found the MMC to be almost like a kidnapper and the MFC was his “victim” in a Stockholm Syndrome kind of way. It felt off to me. The other main issue was massive inconsistencies. Two whole scenes are written two different ways, one after the other. (The lunch scene and the keys scene.) He texted her. She replied. He drove her home after she drove out to meet him. She goes out the door the following morning and her car is magically there. Huh? He hands her his phone to put her number in, but he already texted with her multiple times. What? She stares at the white ceiling and then stares at the blue ceiling. It was frustrating!
This is a story of entrapment…the MMC systematically breaks down the FMC’s resistance, sense of self and builds on her insecurities and overwhelm to the point that she is unable to function in the adult world. It’s very creepy how systematic he is. My understanding of this power dynamic in the lifestyle requires consent of both partners. The female main character was terrorized by a stalker, turned to the MMC for self defense lessons and became ensnared by his version of seduction. He seduces her with the absolute safety of being his little girl. She chooses to remain with him not because she knows she can navigate her adult life but because she knows she can’t. It was creepy how systematic he was in binding her to him. I almost thought he himself was the stalker to bring her into his sphere of influence. From there, like the fly caught in the spider’s web, there was really no escape. Two star rating because of the writing style, which like the story itself, draws the reader in until the end. Can’t really call it a HEA but she got her safe world and he got his baby girl.
35. His Broken Little penned by Sophie Marie is an age-play romance chronicling the romantic journey of Marley and Brock. Marley is a timid and fragile young woman victimized by an unidentified stalker. With nerves frayed, she attends a self-defense class where she meets Brock, gym owner and instructor. Working with her, Brock recognizes she is a submissive in need of dominant. He begins grooming her. To find out how he does this, you must read this book. As I coItinued reading this book, I realized the plot focused on how Brock regressed Marley. This was a distraction for me as it seemed mechanical.
I truly expected Brock to be the stalker in the end. I am not sure how I feel about it not being him.
With that said, there are 2 sections that seem to repeat. I thought it was me hitting the back button and not recognizing it. It isn't. There really are a couple of sections that almost duplicate. BUT it is still an interesting read. I want to say cute but I am just not sure. I vasilate between cute and mind *uck. Give it a chance. See what you think.
I liked it. It had some areas that needed editing, mainly her car appearing when she had rode home with him, a couple places where two versions of the same scene were included. I would have liked to see more of her happy Little, when they were playing in the nursery or during bath time as well explanations as how he was able to spend so much time at home with her.
I chose one star because it felt like I picked a book up and opened it at the middle and just started reading. A lot of the book repeated itself. A full page dedicated to changing a diaper over and over and over. The MC was kind of cringey. Much like the FC being blank and in a gaze so was I. I hate not finishing a book so I did. This book really has potential if its edited and a few changes were made.
The storyline was pretty linear and predictable, which is pretty normal in these types of books. For me, it wasn’t enjoyable because most of the text felt like it was written by AI without any work to add a human touch to it I felt like I could’ve gotten the same quality or maybe a little better just putting prompts into ChatGPT
The beginning of this book sounded promising but as I kept reading I was horrified at how Brock was manipulating his little not just emotionally but mentally too. I can say more but I won’t. If I could give this book a ZERO I would. Save your time because I don’t recommend reading this book!
The story is a bit different but decent. I have it three stars mainly because two scenes were written twice with slightly different outcomes. It disrupted the flow of the story. It was 3/4 through book so makes me wonder if they rushed to get it in publication or clicked the wrong upload file.
Didn't make it to the end of chapter 1. Was looking for an age play abdl, but this book starts off with an instructor of a self-defence class for women seemingly targetting the FMC due to his own desires. Uncomfortable with the inappropriate nature of the first meeting and didn't like the author's writing style.
Towards the end, last 30-40% of the book, it got repetitive. Like it was the same scene but told two different ways. The first thing would happen and lead to a conclusion and then the next paragraph it started all over like the last five pages hadn’t existed. Then the story retold the previous five pages. It was very confusing. Also, the dominance, while expected was too much even for me.
A sweet spicy read. Marley needs to learn how to defend herself…what she finds is sooo much more. Brock immediately wants to help her…protect her..hold her. This is a quick story about two people who found what they truly needed. Brock found someone to love and take care of…and I was Here for it.
