Wow. You know, I don't read a lot of Valentine's Day stories. One, my wedding anniversary is Valentine's Day. And two, I'm kind of jaded by the whole red hearts and Cupid theme.
But... Wow. I'm blown away by this lovely shifter story.
Colin's spent three years nursing his feelings for the local florist Hadley. He's admired and grown to love her from afar, and keeps his distance because of his true nature. The once-in-a-lifetime chance to get to know her without exposing her to what he is, is a chance he isn't going to let pass him by. So he joins her in the online world of dating, never dreaming that he'd be found out or that he'd finally be able to know her in person.
He showed her a side of him no one knew, gave her a Valentine's Day that was unconventional without straying too far from tradition. The most touching scene was the knife he gave her. Colin's a blacksmith who specializes in one-of-a-kind knives. The knife he gives her not only suits her but is a great testament to his skill at his craft. Ms. Joyce describes this piece in exquisite detail; I could see it in my mind as if I was holding it instead Hadley.
Colin's true nature and his past were obstacles they would need to overcome if they wanted a real chance at happy ever after. He almost lost Hadley when he shifted, but I'm so glad she stuck around to hear him out. I was even happier when she accepted him for who he was.
The love of a good man or woman shouldn't depend on their appearances, their nature, or their past. What matters is the now, and how to make it work and last. Ms. Joyce has become one of my go-to authors for paranormal romances. Her bear shifters aren't invincible or arrogant Alphas. They feel, they react accordingly, and they love thoroughly. She gives them a happy ending that's meaningful with a mate who understands them. Colin was all of those things and he got all of those things with Hadley. After so many years of suffering in silence, he gained the love of a great woman and everything else she had to offer.

This one was very cute. I loved how smitten Colin was and how he went about getting to know Hadley. It was the perfect way to get to know Hadley and not freak either of them out. I was glad when Colin was outed as Bearman. The things that Colin did for Valentine's day was so sweet. Even when Colin shared his bear Hadley didn't totally freak out, she seemed to get things, which allowed them a sweet ending.

As someone who doesn't like the holiday Colin manages to make me reconsider my attitude. He takes Valentines to the ultimate level. His attention to detail was amazing. The wooden box full of orange tulip bulbs was...wow! He's got more than physical scars and once he allows Hadley into his life he realizes that she's the only one to heal what's broken in him. This is my first book of the Bear Valley books but definitely wont be my last.

Sweet Valentine!!!
Colin Cross, a lone Bear shifter who lived just outside of the town of Bear Valley. He loved his life but there was something missing in his life. He had feelings for a woman named Hadley Bennett, hefinally got the courage to ask her out via an online dating service.
Hadley Bennett had enough of dating town men, she was determined to go out of her comfort zone. So she tried an online dating service, she started talking to someone named Bearman28. They finally decided tl meet face-to-face.
Colin enjoyed talked to Hadley, their bantering was too cute, he hoped that he could have kept his past away from her. She was his mate yet he tried staying away from her which didn't work.
It was wonderful to catch up with Riker, Hannah and their little one and to hear about some of the other characters. Colin finally got his HEA which coulf lead to him getting his Clan back after the ordeal they went through at the hands of the long Claws.
BEAR VALLEY VALENTINE is a novella in T. S. Joyce's BEAR VALLEY SHIFTERS series. It was an incredibly fun and sweet story. T. S. Joyce did a fantastic job! 5++++

February 16, 2020This book is number 5.5 in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone book. I have read books one and two and then this one. I wasn’t confused. Colin has been living alone in the mountains for a while now. He has secrets and feels like this is what he deserves. Hadley is the owner of the flower shop in town. Colin is so taken with her and it is getting harder to not talk to her. But he feels like she deserves better than him and what he can offer her. When Hadley’s friend creates a dating profile for her Colin sees this as his chance. He can get to know her and talk to her. Will it be enough? I really loved this book. Colin is so sweet and caring. He is this giant of a man but a complete softy on the inside. Hadley is wonderful. She is drawn to Colin and isn’t scared of his secrets. All the characters in this book are fantastic. I would love to get to read more about this couple. Congrats on another fantastic book T. S. Joyce.

I love the different worlds and rich characters of the author and this one is no different. It's a straight up romance of a man who secluded himself from society because if his past but was able to overcome his struggle with the woman who caught his eye and couldn't look away from.
The love interest was ready to give up on love until coming into contact with her eventual mate through an online dating site. They hit it off and the rest is history.
The cute and sweetness of these two make this short feel good HEA story a great read when you're looking for something light.

A shifter romance most hate valentines until they have that special someone to bring it to celebrate!
Collins risked so much but betrayal, murderous greed but him recluse. Hadley as unique as her name is the challenge she needed to take on to pull a recluse out. It is a moving story hurt, healing and hope. Violence 1, sex1 I enjoyed the story n look forward the the series. I read this quickly.

Likeable characters, just needed more to make this a better read for me.
Not the best as it is too short and the majority of the story has little happening, then it is all over and finished in a few paragraphs.
Once again talking and open, honest communication are not used, so we get a shocked heroine when her man just shifts in front of her without any warning or explanation of what will happen.

This is a very short valentines story set 3 years after the last book. It focuses on one bear who lives on the edge of Bear Valley territory.
He has been affected by the Long Claws 10 years ago and has some dark issues, he falls for a human in the local town. Can he convince her he is the man for her?

My heart melted
Hadley and Colin. So adorable! Colin is a big, cute, scarred cuddle bear, with a big heart.
There Valentine’s Day was so great, my heart went pitter patter. Hardly and her assistant were great. Would love to read a story with her after she comes back from college, visiting former boss, meeting by chance a bear maybe?

Really enjoyable romance centering around Valentine's Day. Colin Cross nails Valentine's Day after being anonymous on a dating site for the past month while he converses with Hadley. His actions had me swooning as my heart broke for him at the same time.
Bear Valley Valentine has one of the best HEA's I have read in awhile.

Ahhh! I really loved this short story about Colin the fallen alpha of the Blood Den clan and Hadley the human owner of a flower shop. Strangely this one didn't felt to short or that the stiry was rushed. Really good read. Highly recommended

This was INCREDIBLY sweet and I love the whole recluse/small town girl match up. It was also interesting seeing a bear on his own given how much it's suggested to not happen. I appreciated how well Hadley took everything and how attentive Colin was as well.

Loved this short story. The reclusive H falls for the sweet h but he is grieving and cannot open up to her directly. So he woos her with gifts and messages. She's a lovely person and was strong enough to accept all of him.
