🚩🚩🚩 He's a Ten But.... 🚩🚩🚩
DNF @ 50% and I need a fucking EXORCISM!!
He's a ten but.... he describes his ex-fiancée as his "ideal woman" (short petite brunette with dimples—meanwhile his WIFE is a tall queen) in a PUBLIC FACEBOOK INTERVIEW while his wife is LITERALLY READING IT 💀
He's a ten but.... he says he's "not married" and has "no interest in being tied down" in said interview because it's his "Chase persona" (bro WHAT persona YOU ARE THE SAME MAN)
He's a ten but.... he tells his wife "oh I only described my ex because my FANS think it's romantic that I'm still pining for her" SIR DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF??!
He's a ten but.... he cancels dinner with his wife to tattoo his ex's BARE ASS and then is soooooo tired he sleeps at the studio and "forgets" to make her breakfast 🥴
He's a ten but.... when wife gets upset he's like "she's JUST A CLIENT" MY BROTHER IN CHRIST YOU WERE ENGAGED TO THAT ASS!!
He's a ten but.... he's done SIXTY romance covers with this woman and never once mentioned it to his wife?? Sixty??? That's not a cover shoot, that's a FUCKING MARRIAGE!!
He's a ten but.... the author wants me to believe this man is just "confused" and "thought he was protecting her" while he's out here publicly humiliating his wife, canceling plans with her, and having his hands all over his ex's cheeks like he's kneading dough for homemade pasta 🍝
And look—I'm supposed to believe there's grovel coming? GROVEL? Baby, grovel only works when you FIRST acknowledge you've been selfish, cruel, and INSENSITIVE. But when the author herself keeps framing this as "oh he was just trying to protect her 🥺" and "his intentions weren't malicious 🥺" and "he didn't mean to hurt her 🥺"—GIRL I'M NOT FUCKING BUYING IT. You can't serve me a man who does ALL OF THIS and then turn around like "well actually he was just a little confused and overprotective 🥺👉👈" SIR HE TATTOOED ANOTHER WOMAN'S ASS AND DESCRIBED HER AS HIS IDEAL ON FACEBOOK. There's no "oopsie daisy" big enough to cover that!!
He's a ten but.... the author is out here doing damage control FOR him instead of letting him actually sit in the mess he made. And if the mistakes are being downplayed by the NARRATIVE ITSELF as "non-malicious" or "just him being stupid but not cruel" then what the fuck is the point of the grovel? He didn't have any brownie points to begin with and now I'm supposed to feel sorry for him? FOR HIM??!!
The way the author tried to frame this as "oh he was just being thoughtless" GIRL BE SO FR. Thoughtless is forgetting to buy milk. Thoughtless is not texting back!!!This man orchestrated a whole SECOND LIFE with his ex and expected his wife to be chill about it because "she's just a client" 😭😭😭
Anyways I yeeted this book into the sun at chapter 20!!Life is too short to read about men who need Google Maps to find their way back to their own WIFE while the author holds their hand and makes excuses for them😌😌

Mmm Bas had a lot of ‘splainin to do in this one. He keeps his ex as a tattoo client and tattoos her in very intimate places, he does sexy photo shoots with her since he’s also a book cover model. He keeps his relationship with his wife a secret from all his fans and when he’s asked what his ideal woman looks like on a podcast he describes his ex. Obviously his wife is devastated. As she should be. Idk he did too many wrongs for me to accept his rights and his reasonings were super annoying and idiotic in my opinion and of course the ass kissers in the comments are always on the guys side 🙄

3.5-4 ⭐️ for this marriage-in-trouble story by Wattpad Angst Queen groveltohea! Teshi and Bas work through a big rough patch manufactured by Bas’s nasty ex and fueled by miscommunication and mistrust. There’s
not a lot of action in this book because it’s mostly the couple working through the damage from the sharpest point of the rough patch. I feel a little bit like rubberneckers who slow waaaaaayyyyy down when passing a gruesome, horrific wreck so they can get a good look at the destruction. 🫣
For readers, it’s a pretty specific set of tropes, narrow focus, and writing style that keeps us coming back to groveltohea’s work. This one didn’t stray from her proven area of expertise and that was exactly what I signed up for!
Plus now I want to read more about Conner and Glory, who had brief appearances in this book!

Excellent grovel story. Had all the components in just the right amount. Husband being foolish but not unfaithful. HEA at the end.
What makes a great grovel story is finding and consistently hitting that perfect tension between believability of action with building angst of emotion. So much has to go right. Any miss can throw off the recipe.
GroveltoHEA has consistently delivered. I’ve enjoyed many of her novels on Wattpad.

Love the insecure feels this story brought up for the heroine when she realized the Hero's ex had always been in his life (the entire time this couple was together, he worked with his ex). And I adored the evil OW drama.

I loved the book, loved the way Tesh made Bas grovel! Always love when the h takes away all the cutey-pie puppy love stuff from the H (like nicknames)!
I just think the book was a touch too long! But good nonetheless!
