Not going to lie, but I loved the first book a whole lot better. I feel like so much happened that didn’t need to happen, and on top of that Stacy felt a little more dramatic than she did in the first book. Even though this book felt all over the place, I did enjoy it. I did kick my feet and giggle while reading this book.

Rating 4.5⭐️ Collide 2 had me fully locked in but also side eyeing Stacey for most of the ride. First things first the book is captivating. The tension, the danger, the loyalty, the pressure of loving a man who literally rules through fear all of that keeps the story moving. Anthony DeLeon is exactly who the world thinks he is. Ruthless and strategic. A man born into power who understands that survival in his world requires hard decisions and even harder consequences. Disrespect results in death. When it comes to Stacey that man turns into something completely different. Love has made him soft but only for Stacey and their kids. Anthony loves her deeply, patiently and almost to a fault.

That’s where my struggle with Stacey came in. Her insecurities, jealousy and emotional reactions were driving the car for about 98% of this story. At first I tried to give her grace because she’s not from Anthony’s world. It’s violent, calculated and dangerous, so I understood some of the fear and missteps. As the story continued it became clear that a lot of the chaos came from her own personality, emotional impulses and trauma.

Meanwhile Anthony is over there cleaning up every mess, protecting her from consequences she doesn’t fully grasp and loving her through every meltdown. The patience that man had! Truly Biblical levels. That dynamic also highlights something powerful about the story. Even the most feared man in the room has a weakness. Stacey is Anthony’s. She’s the one person who can soften him, strengthen him and at the same time completely unravel him if things go wrong. This book really leans into that truth: loving a powerful man doesn’t make you untouchable. Sometimes it makes you the biggest target in the room.

Drama, loyalty, danger and a love that refuses to fold under pressure kept me turning the pages. Even though Stacey tested my nerves, the bond between her and Anthony is undeniable. When the smoke clears, you can see exactly why he chose her even if it costs him everything.

A must-read. This ride with Stacey and Mr Anthony DeLeon is a damn good ride yet again. Aye, Ms. Stacey was out here doing what needed to done when it came to family. The way I cried like a baby going to the end of this book. The ending was a chef's kiss🤎🤞🏾 I'm ready for book 3. So go ahead, purchase it, and get caught up.
