Big League Baseball Puzzlers

Rate this book
These challenging game situations have stumped players, managers--and even umpires! Some are real and some are hypothetical, but each of these 40 tough calls is in the megaleague rule book. There are dozens of great drawings, too.

Fun little book of mostly hypothetical scenarios. My favorite section was the humor one. The most memorable was the batter who whines to the umpire, "I bet you wouldn't have called that a strike on DiMaggio" and the umpire responds, "You're darn right, because he would have hit that pitch off the 475 marker out in right."
