3.5 This was a nice fun book. For creativeness I would give it 5 stars but since it’s not really a story I’m only giving it 3.5. I did really enjoy reading this though, it was a very fun read.
Actually included facts that are not well known like most Youtube Videos that basically repeat the same "little-known" facts. Each fact takes up a page and topics are kept together and change is topic is seamless. Quick and Interesting read.
I chuckled and had “ah” moments while reading the Interesting and light hearted facts. I know I thought about visiting Bloomingdale’s flagship store in Manhattan but I didn’t know it is a highly ranked New York tourist attraction. I never realized that Crayola crayon names were printed in lowercase or how my favorite dice game developed on a yacht - Yahtzee. Now, I’m going to think about Ashton Kutcher when I eat my Cheerios!
I got this from the bargain bin at Barnes and Noble - I'm a sucker for a good random-fact book.
This book takes all of 30 minutes to read, but it's a fun read. It's gives around 150 bits of trivial information about a variety of subjects. Basically, it's just a collection of fun party conversation pieces. My favorite is the one about avocados: the origin of the word comes from their distinct shape ("testicle" in some Central American language). I also learned that both sides of CD's and DVD's could be recorded on, but producers thought graphics on one side would be a better use. See, not completely useless.
Fun facts in a bite sized format. The book can easily be read in one sitting, or can be opened at random and started from any point. Great for those with limited free time. Did I like it? Yes. Would I reread it? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes.
