Which Way Western Man? is a White supremacist book by William Gayley Simpson. Simpson, a former left-wing Christian activist turned White supremacist, claims that there is an organized conspiracy by "World Jewry" against the "Western Man", which is leading to the destruction of Western civilization. The book is antisemitic and anti-Black, with Simpson describing himself as a racist with pride; Simpson advocates deporting all Black people and Jews, but additionally blames a supposed internal weakness of the West for this "plight". The book, in addition to its usage of antisemitic conspiracy theories, is anti-Christian in orientation, claiming Christianity, communism, capitalism, and democracy are all Jewish plots. Simpson quotes a variety of texts, including established conspiratorial works like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

About the author

William Gayley Simpson was an American neo-Nazi author, Presbyterian clergyman and lecture-circuit speaker. From the late 1910s to the 1920s, Simpson was a Christian left-wing labor activist and the associate director for the National Civil Liberties Bureau, the precursor to the American Civil Liberties Union. He went on to live an ascetic Christian life, which gained him some amount of notoriety with American Christians, before traveling to India and Japan. In the late 1920s, Simpson became disillusioned with Christianity and his former politics and began lecturing criticizing Christianity and promoting Nietzschean ideas. He authored a book on these ideas, Toward The Rising Sun, in 1935. Simpson later became a White supremacist and a member of the neo-Nazi group the National Alliance, led by William Luther Pierce. Simpson is most well-known for his 1978 book Which Way Western Man?, which claims there is a Jewish plot against White people, calls for violence against Jews, and says that Adolf Hitler was right. Simpson's ideology and works, particularly Which Way Western Man? has had an influence on several White supremacist and neo-Nazi figures.

The book is garbage, althought I didn't go in already agreeing with him I still came out thinking he is highly misinformed. He trys to justify early childhood pregnancy by saying it's a woman's duty and the female body would know when it's ready, obviously this is dumb. A girl even ignoring moral issues does not have the life experience to bring a child into a fulfilling life. He trys to say older men should get with younger women and whores can fill the position of the sexual needs but isn't this clearly his projection of a want for pedophila? Most men aren't attracted to girls significantly younger then them, this is kind of his admittance of an attraction to very young girls. Obviously this isn't the main point of the book but I feel like it serves to say that he obviously was looking for things to confirm his bias and not doing a careful review of the facts. At some points he just says insanely stupid shit, like that man needs to be under more threat of violence and that war doesn't have to be a bad thing. The question really is why would a man who at the time was about 70 thinks he could fight off raiders in a society? The whole book is just full of this nonsensical crap because he thinks it would be cool, and would it? Yes but this isn't how society's work you can't just have classes of mystics to think through problems that's how you get the Karl Marxs of the world, you can't give your 12 year old daughter to a 30 year old, you can't kill a man just because, etc. also the book mentions race alot. That's kinda what any description of it features despite the racist ideology being in the ladder half of it. Yes it does feature throughout but his chapters on eugenics and Jews are at the end. For these chapters I will commend him for not just concluding to kill Africans. Not to agree with him but if you are going to be racist there is no reason you have to be radically racist to the point of genocide. I think this book trys to be too much of a complete fix for the western world but he surenders his points to other men alot. He just says "I would not know how to solve this" and that's it. That's just the problem with the book, it shoudlve been seperate texts. He could've dropped his stuff about women ,the industrial revolution, etc and just wrote about what he clearly wanted to say "Jews are bad". If Jews are bad and you dislike them just say that, why do I need to read 600 pages to get to this? Also like his chapters on Jews are also just boring. Ive heard it a thousand times before this is nothing worth reading, maybe he's right. But for me to have believed him this would've had to be the main focus of the book. William Gayley Simpson was clearly just a man mad at society who thought banned ideas where secret knowledge.
