**THIS IS THE FINAL MAIN BOOK IN THE SLAYCATION SERIES**

The road to love is paved with bad decisions

Josie

Five years ago, King introduced me to a whole new world, broke my heart, and disappeared without a trace.

I finally stopped looking for him.

So naturally, the first familiar face I see after being kidnapped is his.

When I find out they’re leaving on a cross-country road trip, there’s no way I’m staying behind. King might object, but I strike a deal that gets me exactly what I want.

A spot on the trip.

And, much to his horror, a seat in his RV.

King

There are thousands of miles between Florida and our final destination.

I’m not sure Josie and I will survive the first ten.

Five years ago, I walked away from the little minx because I thought it was best for both of us. Now she’s back, befriending my friends, insulting me at every opportunity, and reminding me exactly why leaving her was so bloody difficult.

Our arguments become flirtations. The flirtations become something far more dangerous.

And the longer Josie stays by my side, the more I realize she fits into my life better than she ever did before.

I let her go once because I thought I was doing the right thing.

I’m not sure I’m strong enough to do it again.

The Sinners are hitting the road! Sinners Reunion is a second-chance dark romantic comedy packed with wicked banter, forced proximity, inappropriate behavior, and one unforgettable cross-country adventure.

Buckle up. This reunion is about to get messy.

Tropes:

Big age gap (30 years)
Forced proximity
Enemies to lovers
Grumpy x Sassy
Bet on not falling in love
He taught her everything she knows (including how to annoy him)
Even more food ruining (I'm sorry, kinda)
Dark humor and banter

Although this dark rom-com is "DIET" Lauren Biel, it still has adult themes. Full list of content warnings on my website. Keep an eye on my socials for updates on any side novellas in the future!

Lauren Biel

Lauren’s stories are often emotionally raw, with lots of twists and turns. She describes her writing as “where light meets dark”, which represents how her witty humor compliments the darkness in every story. Instead of trying to mold her writing to fit in a box, she chooses to be unapologetically herself. While her focus is on Romance with dark elements, subgenre is no constraint for her. The common theme in every book is finding love when you least expect it. She enjoys putting her characters through tribulations, allowing their triumphs to be that much more poignant. Make sure you have your seatbelts secured. It’s always a bumpy ride.

When she’s not working, she’s writing. When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with her husband, her friends, or her pets. You might also find her on a horseback trail ride or sitting beside a waterfall in Upstate New York. She has a pretty normal life, yet her stories are anything but.

Without giving too much away 😬

I read this in one sitting, foregoing a full nights sleep might I add 🤣as I simply could not put it down. We get a lot of answers to questions that were left dangling in the previous books. All the characters from the Slaycation series are in this, as you would expect from the title including their quirks (yes, food items will be utilised within the pages). Their found family growing by one more addition, Josie who is also a s3rial k!ller however, she has her role within the family too, once you get to that stage.

Throughout the book Lauren gives us little hints, little twists within the narrative. NGL I have loved this series, and this one is no exception, please don’t ask me which my favourite is as I’d be hard pushed but this one comes very close with the inclusion of all the characters on their road trip to seek answers and obviously a little m^*der and mayhem en route. I absolutely loved that she also brought in a couple from one of her other books 🤭(not this series…enough said)

You couldn’t have asked for a fitting culmination to the series, Lauren has exceeded my expectations with this one, giving us a conclusion of the sinners series that will stay in your head. I’m also quite sad it’s had to end but all good things do. Totally recommend this series.

This was such a great ending to the series! I absolutely loved Josie and King and their whole journey. The banter, the tension, the second chances and all the emotions made this such a fun read. I’m honestly sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the series. ❤️

I'm not even sure where to begin. The Slaycation Series by Lauren Biel will always and forever be my Roman Empire. I fell so deep for the characters from the first book. The relationship they have with each other is unmatched. The group of misfits brought together by their hatred and curiosity of 1 man. Started out with brothers looking for other siblings. Along the way more than just siblings was found.

The special bond shared among the group of serial unalivers is wild. I never thought I could grow so attached to fictional characters, but these people are like my family too. Watching them grow and evolve over the 5 book series is awesome to watch. Its crazy how sad I am that this is the finish line.

Its been a WILD ride with this lot. Kindra, Ezra, Bennett, Cat, Frankie, Maverick, Quinn, and Aven and now King and Josie. Along with the others all have a special place in my heart. (Bennett has always been my favorite, but now, King may have taken that place) I will never stop talking about this series with anyone who will listen. Its so unhinged and sweet and funny that it has something for ANY reader. (If you can get past the food ruining parts, you're golden!)

This feels like the end of an era. Learning the truth about the past and all the details about everything I thought I knew, just goes to show that not everything appears as it seems. Sometimes you have to have hard conversations. You have to look past what you thought you knew and hear people out. While revenge and vengeance is my all time favorite trope, its only my favorite when its deserved. When you know EVERYTHING without question. And hearsay is awful. Make sure you have all the information and make an informed decision. Exacting your revenge based purely on emotions, makes YOU the bad guy.

I want to thank Lauren Biel for bringing these characters to life and to my heart. They will live there FOREVER. Also... maybe speak to a therapist or something? Like where do you even come up with a lot of this stuff? Your mind is a scary and interesting place. You've got a life long fan with me.

Going into this book I expected a few things...

One...it's the final book in the series so I knew Author Lauren Biel had BIG things planned...could I have even anticipated this BIG thing...nope not even close.

Two... I knew it was going to be unhinged...it's a series about serial unalivers and all of their shenanigans...but this one....this one went out with a bang...ing...IYKYK.

And three...I was fully prepared for another food it meet its untimely demise...but TWO of my favorites ...I wasn't prepared or ready for that...it's fine..everything's fine.

All joking aside this book actually had me in my feels...the FMC has been through some pretty traumatic things in her past. And even though she's moved on in life, its still very much ingrained in her...and the one person that she's managed to truly be herself around, is the last person she ever expected.

This MMC, well where do I even start...let's just say that things are NEVER as they seem in a Lauren Biel book. Of course he's a tall glass of serial unaliver...and also a total silver fox. But he's got attachment issues a mile long...and there's a reason for that. Despite it all there's one fiery little red head that he just can't seem to get enough of.

These two characters had me kicking and squealing with delight each and every time they gave into their attraction...and even if it wasn't the most traditional example of romance it was their version of it.

The push and pull. The tension. The banter. It was all SO GOOD!

The fun little pop in of another other favorite unhinged serial unaliver couple!

And the ending....I couldn't think of a better way to send this incredible group of characters off into their happily ever afters.

**This series will forever be one of my Roman Empires.** 🖤

*Slaycation* has been one wild ride, and somehow Lauren Biel managed to make the final book just as chaotic, hilarious, twisted, and completely addictive as the rest. I read this in one sitting because apparently sleep was optional. 😂

Getting the whole crew back together for one last road trip was everything. The found-family bond these characters have is honestly what makes this series so special. They’re completely unhinged, morally questionable, and somehow still some of the most lovable characters I’ve read.

King and Josie brought ALL the tension. Their history, their chemistry, and being forced into close quarters made for some seriously entertaining moments. Add in Jim’s ridiculous games, secrets finally coming to light, plenty of twists, and the usual murder-and-mayhem, and I was locked in.

What really got me, though, was seeing everything come together. So many loose ends were finally answered, and the past wasn’t quite what it seemed. I loved the reminder that revenge based on assumptions can make you just as bad as the person you’re seeking revenge against. Sometimes you have to stop, get the whole story, and actually listen.

And yes, the food. 😂 If you know, you know.

This genuinely feels like the end of an era, and I’m ridiculously sad to say goodbye to this crew. They’ve become the kind of fictional family you don’t realize you’re attached to until the final page.

**Unhinged, funny, dark, spicy, surprisingly heartfelt, and the perfect ending to a completely bonkers series.** I’ll be talking about these psychos for a very long time. 🖤🔪

The Sinners meet again, this time for a cross country road trip. And as usual, nothing goes as planned and the pantry isn’t safe!

Josie wakes up after being kidnapped by Ice Pick & his new best friend Blayne. Blayne lets the secret slip that they are all serial killers. But that’s not the worst part to Josie. It’s when she comes face to face with the man who walked out on her 5 years ago & broke her heart. And she’s riding in the RV with him.

King has helped Jim Madigan plan this years trip & all the events. And the big secret reveal at the end. The Carter children will get some closure, and all the Sinners will have fun killing some Cattle with games on the way. But Jim planned a surprise for King that he was not expecting. She has an insatiable sex drive & chestnut hair. And she’s PISSED.

The twists & turns and all the secrets are crazy in this story. Almost everyone has a secret they are keeping from everyone else until the end. So many questions get answered. And more food gets ruined. 😅
There are some sweet moments, where you just feel for the characters in the moment. The crazy antics of Jim, the games he’s thought up, the way the events unfold, you end up laughing so many times while reading.
And the spice is definitely there 🥵 not just in the peppers 🫣

5 stars isn’t even enough for this book.
I’m so sad this series is over, I’ve loved every single book in it, but this book was the PERFECT ending to the series!

Sinners Reunion is the absolute ultimate finale for this series! We finally get all those burning answers about the Carter siblings, and trust me, nothing is quite what it seems. Expect some jaw-dropping family secrets and deeper bonds.

While I've adored every couple in this lineup, Bennett and Cat held my top spot until King and Josie burst onto the scene—they are giving my favorites a serious run for their money! King has always been the icy, calculated type, completely buttoned up in both his suits and his feelings. Watching Josie break through those walls was pure gold. She is an absolute powerhouse—sarcastic, stubborn, and wonderfully vulnerable underneath it all. Their banter is top-tier, and learning their backstory alongside this crazy crew of characters was so much fun.

Saying goodbye to this world is honestly heartbreaking. Every book, every character, and every wild "competition" Jim cooked up for these Sinners has been incredible.

I do have a plea to Lauren: please, for the love of all your unholy and probably unhealthy fictional food scenarios, give Ice Pick his happily ever after! After everything he went through in this book, he more than deserves it.

This was another absolute home run. If you're craving a dark, slightly unhinged read packed with brilliant banter, spice, and a family of lovable characters you'll miss instantly, grab this one. You won't regret it!

★★★★★ Sinners Reunion — ARC review

As the final book in the Slaycation series, Sinners Reunion had a lot riding on it and it delivers exactly the kind of send-off longtime fans have been hoping for. Biel has always excelled at gut-punch reveals wrapped in dark humor, and this one is no exception. Just when you think you've settled into the rhythm of the story, she pulls the rug out, and the emotional whiplash hits hard. There's a moment about two-thirds through where everything you thought you understood about these characters gets recontextualized, and it's the kind of twist that makes you want to immediately flip back to the beginning and reread with new eyes.

What makes this such a satisfying series finale is how well it ties together threads that have been simmering since book one. Callbacks land, loose ends get resolved in ways that feel earned rather than convenient, and the found-family dynamic that's been the emotional backbone of this series gets the closure it deserves. It's rare for a final installment to stick the landing this cleanly and there was no rushed wrap-up, no dropped threads, just a genuinely moving conclusion that honors everything that came before.

If you've been with this series from the start, this is the payoff you've been waiting for. Bring tissues for the emotional gut-punches and be ready to laugh through the tears. An incredible way to close out the Slaycation series. 🖤

5 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 Stars — Read it in ONE day! The ultimate unhinged finale! 🖤
Serial killers needing vacations is a premise I will never get over, and Sinners Reunion was the absolute iconic way to end this series! I did not put it down and devoured the whole thing in a single day. I’ve been obsessed with the Slaycation crew since day one.

• 30-year age gap
• forced proximity in an RV
• enemies-to-lovers
• second chance

Josie and King’s chemistry was freaking insane. Watching them stuck together on a cross-country road trip with their back and forth and chemistry kept me glued to my Kindle all day long. (And yes, the food scenes live rent-free in my head now... Lauren, thanks for that! 😂)
What I loved the most was how everything connected in the end. Biel killed it by weaving together every character arc from across the series. Seeing the whole killer crew back together one final time made my insides tingle or maybe it was Chef Maurice’s food? lol
If you love dark romantic comedies packed with spice, unhinged fun, and morally gray characters, you need to binge the entire Slaycation series like yesterday.
A huge thank you to the author and BookSirens for the advanced reader copy! I am voluntarily leaving this honest review. 😭🔥

Once again, Lauren knocks it out of the park I know after the last book in this series, I was a little harsh and said I didn’t like the romcoms and the book wasn’t really for me, but this book erased all of those feelings that I had I still prefer the deep dark to brave Lauren but this book captured me and it was so witty and the banter is perfect and the spice is perfection and Lauren just kind of answered all of those questions that we’ve had along the way on the series. Everything was just folded up and she put a little pretty bow on it and then like a sparkly sticker I loved it the puns I am a person who loves puns and the RV there yet had to be in stitches the food scenes don’t really bother me. I’ve come to expect them and you know enjoy them. The spice was perfection. I’ve liked the chemistry between all of you know, and it was a big group that we were following around and again Lauren nailed it. I know I saw that it’s 505 but it said main series so I’m thinking that maybe there’s gonna be some spinoffs and even though I am not a romcom reader I’m still vested in all of these characters that I would read and Novella that came out and also lice pick? My head was itchy after every time I read it well done

ARC review

“Attachment is the downfall of man. We are better alone.”

This book picks up with King and Josie in the middle of their messed up road trip. King is on a mission to reunite the Carter siblings with their father, while Josie is trying to figure out what the hell is going on around her and what is happening between her and King.
This trip is filled with the usual unusual insanities that we know from previous books. (I do recommend reading those prior to reading this last book from the series). As the journey progresses more secrets come to light.
This book is, like the previous ones utter chaos and mayhem, but in a good way. The banter is hilarious and topnotch and all the event's that Lauren came up with in this book brilliant. More foods get ruined, like we are also used to by now.
This is one of those books where you just have to accept that absolutely nothing is normal and you just need to accept the ride.
The Carter family storyline was a fun addition to the story next to all the events and the romance between King and Josie.
As for the setting, I enjoyed the road trip, but not at much like the previous settings, I found the other ones more original personally.
I love books that don't take themselves too seriously while still giving the characters some genuine emotional depth, and Sinners Reunion definitely falls into that category.

Lauren Biel really went all out with the dark, unhinged energy in Sinners Reunion. The tension of bringing these damaged characters back together under the reunion setup worked so well the history between them is pure gasoline, and the unresolved trauma made every single interaction feel volatile. The blend of psychological mind games, obsession, and that gritty, boundary-pushing spice is exactly what I look for in Biel’s work; she definitely doesn’t pull her punches when it comes to dark tropes. The reason this lands at a 4 instead of a 5 for me comes down to the pacing in the third quarter things got a little repetitive with the internal back-and-forth before the final chaos kicked in, and I wish we had spent just a bit more time letting the emotional aftermath settle at the very end.

Still, if you love messy reunions, intense revenge undertones, and morally pitch-black romances that make you question your morals, this is an absolute must-read.

A huge thank you to BookSirens and the author for providing an ARC

I was very excited to be able to get an arc of this book.

Sinners Reunion was such a great conclusion to the Sinners Retreat series! I really enjoyed both the FMC and MMC, and you know I love a good age gap. 👀 Their story kept me interested, the climax was really good, and overall I thought the story was great.

There is a reveal that had me a little salty at first. 😂 I wasn’t sure how I felt about it when it happened, but I actually really liked the way everything worked out in the end, so I’m definitely less salty about it now.

I was also surprised to see the food happening again. 😂 Part of me feels like maybe that should’ve stayed a Bennett thing, but I can’t even complain too much because the aftermath is always hilarious.

And I absolutely CACKLED when our MMC came back to the bush. IYKYK. 💀😂

Overall, this was a really satisfying way to wrap up the series. It gave me the romance, the craziness, the humor, and a great climax while bringing everything to a close. Definitely a 5-star read for me!

😭 Soooo Sad this was the last in this incredible series. The feelings Lauren invokes from me EVERY time I read her stories is mind-boggling. This one made me happy, sad, laugh out loud and then try to explain why I was laughing to my partner (who doesn't read taboo stuff). 😉🤣 This story was a roller-coaster and I had my hands in the air every second i was reading! I was so happy to read other characters who just stopped by from her other stories. It was totally refreshing to see them again. If you have been on this holiday of unalivers doing thier thing...then I felt like this is a great ending...even if I want more....UNALIVER HOLIDAYS! Hahaha! I read this in one sitting and it was so good..I felt it was a little who done it which I enjoyed.

Thank you Lauren Biel for writing this incredible series! Thank you for allowing me to read this early and giving my honest opinion. All opinions are my own.

Wow. What a ride that was. I am newer to Lauren Biel. She is an author that interacts wonderfully with her audience. My first book I read was hitched. So I decided to deep dive and try more by her. Man was it the best thing I could have done. Sinners Reunion was a fun, twisted ride. She a genius with making you feel like you are apart of the world she is building. The twist, the secrets and the world building is one that takes you by surprise. This book was all that and more. Many times I caught myself holding my breath. And looking for clues. This invoke all the feels. If you are looking for a dark rom com this series should be your go to. I was very lucky that I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I will be purchasing this book as soon as it’s available.

Where to start but so sad it’s the end. Our esteemed FBI director King has been keeping a few too many secrets. With the promise of meeting Daddy Carter at the end, the Sinners embark on a road trip with Jim at the helm. Ice Pick (aka Ice Pig, aka Lice Pick) has a few bonus buddies as well. Blayne and Charity are his new riding buddies. Jim has expanded his animal rescue efforts and has tracked down Brickle’s sister to find the last remaining sloth. Josie has secret of her own. Not only is she not an animal abuser but she is a serial killer trained by none other than King. This rag tag team and new IBS girly find out more than they expected while driving cross country. It all ends in murder and maybe a few hugs.

This book took me on such a wild ride. I laughed, I cried, my flabbers were gasted, and my heart ripped out then sewn back up. I cannot begin to express the joy and happiness this book has brought me. I cannot imagine a better way to wrap up this series. This Reunion brings the fresh humor and crazy situations you come to love from this series and the wonderful throwbacks with all the inside jokes and peak insanity you want and need. The end ties everything up in such a tremendous way and still leaves room for more if she chooses. (cough, Ice Picks HEA, cough).

Thank you, BookSirens, for this amazing opportunity!

Thank you, Lauren Biel, for bringing this amazing family of Weirdos to life!

This was such a fun, unhinged way to bring the Slaycation series together! 😂 The dark humor, chaos, banter, and absolutely insane moments were everything I expected from Lauren Biel. I loved getting to spend more time with this whole messed-up little found family, and there were definitely moments that had me laughing one second and staring at my Kindle the next.

Such a fitting addition to the series, and I’m honestly not ready to say goodbye to these characters. This is the series that also brought my friends and I love for Lauren Biel even closer together so it’s so hard!!! Definitely recommend and definitely a must have!!

This book was everything I hoped the charecters where great and the plot amazing.
This book had me hanging on for dear life; I mean, wow, the plot twist where imense and had me nearly cursing sometimes, there where truly funny moments and some more food moments, which I've come to expect with this series but never truly prepared for.
I loved getting to see more Gary; he really has been one of the most lovable characters in this series, along with Ice Pick (I love everyone always getting his name wrong)
The ending was done amazingly, but it was still bittersweet. I hope we get to see more of this lot at some point.

Just finished my Arc read of Sinners Reunion!

I laughed, I Cried, My heart was in my arse! I was angry and im pretty sure my jaw broke when it dropped! (Just wait until you read it.. but iykyk)
Lauren completely smashed it out of the park with the finale..
Poor "Lice Pick".

This whole series have stolen the show for me.
Bennett will forever have my sinner heart!
But as for all of the Gang, I am glad it all worked out..

I hope im not the only one that is Dying to have a Grim and Rose back story.. and a Ice Pick Solo book too!

Im gonna miss reading the gang, and WISH I could go back and read it all again for the first time!

Enjoy the ride! Its so worth it

The last book in the Slaycation series and we finally get to meet Daddy Carter and let his children, Ezra, Bennet, Frankie and Aven, decide their fathers fate.
I found this a bit difficult to get into, had to force myself to read the first 50% but then the pace and the plot quickened, and I flew threw the rest.
I liked King but struggled a bit with liking Josie. The smexy scenes felt over-contrived, the toothbrush holder particularly.
Loved the action scene at the alligator park and in the finale.
As always with these books it was dark, funny and twisted in the best ways.

I genuinely don’t even know where to begin with this book because WHAT. DID. I. JUST. READ?! 😭 The shock, the food being completely ruined because I could NOT put this book down, the tears, the laughing, the staring at the pages in disbelief—it was literally every single emotion all at once.

Lauren Biel had me questioning everything, gasping at things I absolutely was NOT prepared for, and then somehow laughing when I probably shouldn’t have been. 😂 This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster and absolutely refused to let me off.

I received an ARC from the author (Book Sirens)

Josie and King - big age gap, second chance romance.
And it’s literally a Serial Un-aliver reunion. 🤣

While this book was fun, it was very dragged out.
Of course, it had its funny moments, but I wouldn’t say this was my favorite of the series by any means.
I did love the twist at the 50% mark, since I didn’t see it coming.

Loved King and appreciated Josie’s quirks.

I think my favorite name drop (and there were quite a few) was definitely “Ew, David”. lol.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Road trip! Everything wonderful about the first for books boiled down into one… including the various forms of food abuse. Age gap, pining, bartering all over the road trip! Jim does it once again playing match maker. While still on his mission! So many bombs dropped in this book my mind is reeling!!! A good way to end a series but sad to see it go! What an era!
