Seduced Before Sunday: A Spicy Fake Girlfriend Novella

Rate this book
How did I fall in love with an escort? I tried to get under her skin.

After months of watching my father die, I can’t sleep. All I think about is death. And despite owning a private club, it’s been months since I touched someone just because it felt good.

Then I spot Bianca, one of our performers, engaged in a very public display of… affection. She fakes her way through every finish, and she watches me when she should be focused on the men between her knees.

Needless to say, I’m intrigued. So I pay her to act as my girlfriend for the week leading up to my father’s funeral. And as a distraction, I issue a By the end of the week, I’ll give her so much pleasure, she’ll never want to pretend again.

But with each passing day, the heat between us feels a little more urgent, and the lines between service and seduction start to blur.

So how in the world do I convince her my feelings are real when our entire relationship was built on a lie?

I've been reading dirty books since I was old enough to smuggle them out of my mom's bedroom. I love men who laugh at women's jokes, women who refuse to budge (with a smile), and everyone who's ever visited their public library.

My first crush was Indiana Jones, and I've never recovered.

Seduced Before Sunday was such a quick easy read, I genuinely couldn't put it down and for a Novella it had real emotions and I could definitely go for a full length of Anthony and Bianca!

Anthony has spent 6 months away from his life to spend with this father before he passed away, returning full of grief he needed someone to full his life of loneliness to get him through the week leading up to his father's memorial.

Bianca has just found out she needs to leave her apartment and has no funds, no family to go to and a job that gives her the opportunity to earn more than she'll ever earn. What's a week of sleeping beside a handsome French man when the money will potentially change her life? But when Anthony makes it his mission to prove Bianca isn't as broken as she feels what will happen when the week is over and neither are ready for it to be over.

This author just doesn't disappoint! Her novellas always feel well rounded, and the spice/romance is always on point. Antony, our MMC Frenchman, is grieving and lonely. He hires Bianca, a performer who is guarded in all aspects, to be his girlfriend. He's intrigued by her and wants to break down all her walls while having someone to snuggle with. They both get more than they expected. I loved these characters!!! They're so well rounded, you really get a sense of who they are. The chemistry between these two is push and pull, kind, sweet, and so sexy. I want more!!!

ARC Review

The writing was smooth and flowed easily, making this a quick, enjoyable read. The pacing kept things moving and it was easy to stay engaged throughout.

The MCs were cute together and I liked them as a pair. My only personal hang-up was her decision to go back to her job after being with him — just a personal no-no for me — but other readers may feel differently about that choice.

Overall, a sweet, fast read with likable characters and solid pacing.

Thank you for the ARC

This was such a quick and easy read😌loved the yearning and behaviors between the MMC and FMC. It reminds me a little bit of once you’re mine, but just the love aspect. For a novella, it was close to perfect! I wish there was more between the chapters since the pacing does have to be fast. Overall I absolutely ate this up!

Having endured a similar loss to Antony, I was emotionally invested in this story before it really even started. There’s a particular kind of devastation that comes from watching someone you love slowly fade away—grief that’s both sharp and strangely numbing. It’s no surprise that Antony returns home unmoored, sleepless, and desperate for anything that might quiet the ache. After six months in France, he’s back in New York and stepping back into his role as co-owner of Morris Manor, a glittering, high-end club where the city’s elite gather to indulge their secret desires. On the night of one of their infamous parties, thousands of bodies blur together in a haze of decadence. And then he sees her. Bianca. She’s on stage, captivating as one of the club’s performers. But while everyone else is lost in the spectacle, Antony notices something no one else sees. She’s faking it. Beneath the lights and the performance, something is off. When her gaze locks with his across the crowded room, his curiosity sparks into something far more consuming. He doesn’t just want her. He wants to unravel her. To show her what real pleasure feels like. So, he hires Bianca to be his companion for the week leading up to his father’s memorial. What makes this story so compelling isn’t just the heat, it’s how their connection begins. Antony doesn’t treat Bianca as a transaction. He wants to know her. And in doing so, he discovers a sharp, self-aware, unapologetic young woman who owns her profession but quietly carries the belief that she’s somehow broken. Years of disappointing lovers have left her disconnected from her own desire, which makes her performance at the club feel like a metaphor for something deeper. Their chemistry is undeniable, but what truly pulled me in was everything that happens outside the bedroom. The teasing banter. The vulnerability. The guarded confessions shared in quiet moments. As Antony reveals parts of himself few ever get to see, Bianca finds it harder and harder to remember that this is only supposed to last a week. And the longing? It’s beautifully mutual. The angst hums beneath every interaction, amplifying the tension in the best possible way. Yes, a little communication might have spared them some turmoil—but where’s the fun in that? 😉 More than the spice, it was the warmth and tenderness threaded through their connection that had me completely glued to the pages. This wasn’t just about desire; it was about two wounded people finding something unexpectedly healing in each other.

I loved this story so much!
Antony, back from France, where he spent 6 months watching his father die from a terminal illness finds that he can't switch off. Every time he closes his eyes he sees death. He has lived an breathed death for a very long 6 months.
On his return to the U.S he needs a distraction. He hasn't slept a whole night in he doesn't know how long!
Entering the Morris Manor, a club co owned with his best friends, Diego and Nichols, he finds his distraction in one of their performers, Bianca.
Watching her, as she watched him, faking her pleasure, he decided he needed to find out more about her. She may be just what he needs!!
He proposes that she be his fake girlfriend for a week, day and night, until his fathers memorial service, but he promises that he will have her no longer faking her pleasure by the end of the week.
When do lines start to blur? Bit hard to say as they are both closed off, and as Antony finds it hard to be forthcoming he makes a pact that he will not "orgasm" until she does first!
A high order as Bianca suffers a block on her allowing herself to fall!
Loved the banter, and Bianca is a strong MFC who does seem to lead Antony by the short and curlys a lot!! LOL.
He becomes smitten and starts dreaming of a future with her, but is unsure of her feelings towards him. Is he assuming too much??
With the usual lack of communication and with Antony having to return to France on the day that their contract ends, means he leaves Bianca, who, feeling vulnerable and not sure what is happening between them, leaves his penthouse as soon as she finds another apartment to rent.
Coming home from France, being away longer than he planned, he finds his home empty, and doesn't like it!
He knows where he will find his woman and heads straight to Morris Manor! Where he indeed finds her in the throes of passion during a watched scene.
How does Antony react, you ask?! Well to say I was impressed is an understatement.....and just to say it was f3cken HOT!!
Loved it all from start to finish. Brilliant read and a different look at an Escort and her "Client".

This novella understood the assignment

Wow. Just wow. I discovered this new-to-me author during my search for a quick palate cleanser in-between ARCs and I am blown away. How Eve can weave a story of grief and intimacy, blending the profound isolation of loss with the human need for connection. *chef’s kiss*

My favorite quotes:
"I want you by my side for the next week. I'd like a woman on my arm while I endure people I don't enjoy, a service I don't wish to attend, and conversations I've no interest in having. And I'd like to have a warm body in my bed every night to soothe my poor, aching heart."

I mean, he is handsome, but there's the whole personality thing getting in the way. If that weren't an issue... yeah.

I'll teach him about the finer points of Netflix and chill later. I once Netflix-and-chilled through the first three Aliens movies, back-to-back.

What I loved:
📝the tagline: "First he catches me faking my pleasure. Then he challenges me to stop pretending."
👄how he approaches his mission to give her first orgasm by anyone else but herself
🫠the mini-tropes
🥐the international elements: he is French, she has Dutch heritage
🗣️he whispers to her in French, like Putain ("fuck" in the context)
📝the creative language
🔚2 epilogues

What I struggled with:
🤮my one and only complaint is his "sweet" nickname for her, being "lovely"

This is the 6th book, in the house of midnight pleasure series. It’s my first book in this series and my first book by this author. I genuinely dislike starting a series in the middle because I dislike feeling like I missed something. But, in this book I didn’t feel lost although there were several couples featured that I assumed had their own books. This book is about a club that features erotic live acts and the people who own and run this club. One owner Anthony has just returned back to NY from Paris after watching his father deteriorate and die from cancer. Anthony is lost and hurting. He sees Bianca in a ménage situation and he realizes that she’s faking her orgasms and wants to please her and watch her experience true pleasure. So he hires Bianca to be his girlfriend for the week and attend his father’s memorial service. Now the chemistry between the two is hot and their week together is very steamy. I loved the companionship and how they enjoyed each other’s company. The book is also somewhat angsty (which I loved). The book was a great story of two people who show a facade to the world and then found the one who could and would allow them to be themselves. If you have issues with cheating I would suggest you might be a little upset because although Bianca doesn’t cheat on Anthony she is an employee in a sex club performing live acts. I would like to read the previous books to see how this club began. I enjoyed this fast paced story.

I had the opportunity to read an ARC of Seduced by Sunday, and as my first read from Eve Brash, I can confidently say it will not be my last. I love a good spicy novella with a guaranteed happy ending, and this story checked every single box. Antony and Briana’s journey was unlike anything I’ve read before—without giving anything away, I truly appreciated how the author reminds us that things aren’t always as they seem. The raw emotion surrounding grief and the loss of a parent was handled beautifully and added real depth to the romance. If you’re looking for a feel-good, heartfelt love story with just the right amount of heat for Valentine’s Day, this one deserves a spot on your TBR. Not to mentioned I learned some new naughty French words 💕📚

This isn't my normal read but I enjoyed this fake dating/billionaire novella. Bianca is an FMC in charge of her sexuality. Antony is a grieving man who is intrigued by Bianca's performance at a sex event. It's a typical fake/paid girlfriend situation and one Bianca isn't a stranger to. Antony is different than most of the billionaires in these books & I liked that he wasn't some mafia type. I liked that there was a range of sexy scenes and not all of them were super hard core. There's a lot to be said for scenes that are spicy & also simple. The amount of intimacy that is contained in simple touching/stroking of the body made this book sizzle. It's a fun, quick read and it's perfect for Valentine's Day romance.

Antony is dealing with grief over losing his father and having his life upended which results in some major hurt/comfort vibes. Bianca thinks she's broken, but has a very fiery personality (I really enjoyed her point of view) and Antony is a bit of a prick at times, but she doesn't put up with it which I really enjoyed. The story takes place mostly over a week and I enjoyed seeing these two get to know each other. Definitely worth a look if you want something to read fairly quickly and has a female lead that doesn't put up with BS.

This novella was more than amazing. From the cute and silly banter to the tears and hugs, Antony and Bianca drew me in emotionally from the first chapter. The spice was top notch and never felt out of place or awkward. Relationship wise, the MMC and FMC truly compliment each other in so many ways. Antony comes across as grumpy, but is secretly extremely caring towards Bianca. The chemistry when both of them are in the club together... 5/5 🌶️ and an easy 5 ⭐ book!

Seduced Before Sunday was my first read by new to me author Eve Brash.

The book allowed for a storyline that showed not only Antony and Bianca’s individual story. But also the development of their relationship that was both emotionally and highly physical. Considering there was a good portion of steam to accompany the storyline with how spicy it was.

For being a novella, author Eve did a good job with Seduced Before Sunday making for a quick and easy pleasant read that was good overall.

Anthony is hurting from the loss of his father. He is an owner of a club shows live erotic acts. One of the acts catches his eye. Noticing one of the performers Bianca is faking her orgasms while in a ménage. He is gas and now all he wants is to see how she looks when not faking. Also he needs a fake girlfriend for his father’s memorial. The perfect person is Bianca. Ohh the chemistry is hot and full on.
This book has pace, steam, angst and a relationship that is different.

Very well written erotic romance between Antony and Bianca. As a sex performer she was oblivious to feeling anything “real” during her performance- until Antony calls her on faking things. Together they make a deal which inevitably leads to more between them. Storyline kept me entranced with these characters. Enjoyed the transition between them and the originality of this book.

ARC Review

What if one week could change everything? That’s the question at the heart of this short, swoony, and surprisingly emotional read. After six months of grief and loss, he returns to a life that moved on without him, broken but trying to find his footing again. She’s performing, playing the part, but her heart isn’t in it—until one look across a crowded room ignites something neither of them expected.

This story is Pretty Woman-inspired perfection: a brief arrangement that starts as “just business” but slowly shifts into something real, tender, and achingly sexy. There’s longing, healing, and that delicious tension that makes you hold your breath between every glance. In just one week, both characters learn to breathe again—and readers are along for every bittersweet, steamy moment.

Perfect for fans of reads that hit hard emotionally while delivering a slow-burn romance you won’t forget. 💋📚
