While I am not the target audience for this book I found that it did draw me into its world very effectively. The heroine, Jesalyn, is obviously a high achiever who has gone through a lot of loss in her life. We pick up the story as she is looking to start over after the death of her loved ones and the loss of her career. She finds both new support and new enemies as she begins her next chapter in Nowhere, Nevada. It is a quick read that does a good job of introducing us to the realities of her world.
