3.5 These books seem to all start being more of the same without much development. All very soapy and becoming increasingly frustrating with not much apparent progress.

I tired to take my time and read the book, but I found myself engrossed in yet another of Lola's books. Her Silver character is the Marcus of the Noru. Trying too hard to do the right thing. But the right hong is not always the best thing. And Bex.. It's a very good balance between a "good and perfect guy" Bex and the "bad guy" Silver. Pryor is not really in the story unit about half way through the book. But when she makes her entrance, readers will be wowed. Diana is a hated but loved character. AKA Ruin. You want to hate her, but you end up liking her a lot more in this book. Her character truly develops and you find out some interesting information about her past.
Key is the only character I want to punch. She is annoying, whiny, and put herself in the situation she found herself in. Regardless of what happened, she was a very immature character. Anyway, the ending , the last line in the book , blew my mind away. Not too happy, but I can't wait for book 4.

I love this book waiting on part 4 already,love how the series suck you into a whole different world!!!! It's well worth the wait.

Pretty good. Still a lot of editing errors.
Seeing more things from Aaden's perspective is nice. changing narrator so often and with more than just Aaden and Pryor though, can get a bit annoying. if you stop reading for any reason you gotta try to figure out who's talking. it's very frustrating.

As for the drama with key I was really starting to get annoyed with her obsession with Bex and they kept calling it love when that's clearly not what was happening anymore. I was glad they decided to accept she has a problem and she finally dropped him.
Easton's love interest was crappy from the beginning and the apprentice thing was shit in my opinion.
The Bex/Pryor 'I have feelings for her/i don't know if I have feelings for him' thing is stupid.
The island craziness was fun and interesting, but I was left wondering why they didn't at least take a knife each if they knew ahead of time that their powers wouldn't work? Not everything has to be magical. Maybe carry a first aid kit for when the super healer runs out of stuff? Common sense.
The love triangle (Ruin/Aaden/Pryor) is getting on my nerves. love triangles are supposed to be good, make you doubt yourself as to who is better for the person in the middle. Love triangles are supposed to have people rooting for one person while some are crazy about the other. This love triangle is so clear cut it's stupid to even have it. He'll end up with Pryor, but the whole series Ruin will get in their way in order for the main characters to have personal conflict. It's all so lazy.
Pryor being tortured and having the traumatic recovery, then being a bitch and crying herself back to normal was ok. I get it, I accept it.
I reached the conclusion that, had the team not found Pryor in time Malakaro (or as I call him: Maly) would have saved her which totally pissed me off because he just showed up while they were there, by then he didn't need to show up at all. I actually expected them to get to the center and find it already demolished and Pryor not even there because Maly saved her not out of some deep unknown love but because when she is destroyed he is the one who should do it, what he said about wanting her to watch her loved ones die, and because he's also Noru so the balance thing would affect him too even if not as much. Then they find her still having gone through what she did but having been saved by him and left to be found by the team. Seems more dramatic and in your face to me, but whatever it was fine.
As for the shocking revelation at the end with Ruin being pregnant, there was so much build up to it that there was no surprising revelation. It was more of a 'just come out and say it already' throughout the whole book. The potion the lady gave her, then the crazy ex-pregnant fury touching her and not only letting her go but also becoming at peace, and more potions by the lady towards the end. I'm surprised the only one to catch on was Bex.
Also, continuing on the Ruin pregnancy thing, it's so much like the Ameana pregnancy thing and the Bianca pregnancy thing except combined that It was even more predictable.
IDK as I said before the crappy triangle is getting on my nerves.
As for the good parts there are a few. like the Key in her subconscious and Ruin's confession to help her, or Ruin's core.
The forest, the island in general. Pryor growing a pair.
Randy growing a pair, which BTW Bex had it coming and when are we going to see some Randy/key action the boy deserves it.
(end of series couple guesses)
I'm going to make a wild guess here and assume Swoop and East will end up together towards the end of the series, Bex and key which is going to suck for Randy but I think Randy will die so it'll be OK.

Bahh! This book was amazing, but it really was slowly ripping my heart apart! This series is simply amazing. I love the characters and the story a way too much. I hate that even though Silver constantly says how in love he is with Pryor, his actions show that he is also in love with Ruin-even if he denies it. Every time he gets closer to Ruin, my heart breaks into tiny fragments for Pryor. And that ending!! Just ripped my heart out completely.. I don't know if I will survive by the end of this series. But apparently I'm a masochist because all I have to say is...on to the next book!

I have really enjoyed this series so far, BUT I can't give it 4 stars because the sex scene was WAY to detailed for a story about a 15 year old girl (which is questionable as earlier in the book her father days she's 13 which is even worse). I don't get uncomfortable reading much, but that scene was hard to get through. I'll continue reading but I hope those scenes are kept to a minimum.

The Kindle copy(there is no paper copy) of Fall of the Chosen was indeed a story in which took a lot of time to read.
In the second book, it is ended with a cliffhanger (dammit) where Pryor the leader of the Noru is "kidnapped" by the Center, who tricks her that her best friend Randy was in danger, in which he actually was. The third book started out with the rest of the Noru not knowing that their leader was locked up with the Center and was being tortured. The reason being was because Silver, or Adrian was spending too much time with her, and when the Center had Silver, he was warned that he would get hurt if he spent too much time around her.
Later, the Noru find out that Pryor is missing and go out in a frenzy in hopes of finding her. Unfortunately, the location changes because it is in a "whirlwind" and every while moves to a different place, making it hard for the team to find her. With mysterious messages being sent to them from the Center scaring them, they are under serious pressure and realize that if they do not find their leader soon, she will eventually die from their torture.
The book goes on to end with yet another cliff hanger, but one thing I realized as I was reading this novel was that there were a lot of PG 13 moments, which isn't very surprising considering that it was marked under the YA books, or young adult books. But as the slightly inappropriate scenes were introduced into the story, you can see that there are a lot of conflicting problems within the team and there are a lot of flashbacks and thought- trains from certain characters who are in conflict. Although it contributed to the overall struggle of the story as the team tries to rescue Pryor, there are too many "thought" moments or "flashbacks" that draw the attention of the reader away form the book and makes it harder for one to actually stick to the reading until the chapter ends or that certain moment finishes, so that why why I had given the book 4 stars instead of the deserved 5.

As with the previous two books, the storyline is good, but my only "yech" moment was the final scenes between Pryor and Aedan. I just found myself skipping it all because, personally I'm just not a fan of reading about a 15 year old having sex. Again, this is simply my personal feelings and wanted to warn others who feel the same. Also, does anyone know how many books are slated to be in this series? I'm tired of both the "cliffhanger-technique" and "run-on" series method employed these days.

really ?!
I swore I wouldn't read this book. And now I remember why. Why do authors have to always come back to the same technique in their books? I am again disappointed . Another book where there are way to many explanations and like 4 exciting scenes in the book. The other times I was bored out of my mind. And what was with all the flashbacks? And of course huge cliffhanger. Yet another reason why they can't be together. Same thing happened to her mom and dad. I wasted 4 hours on this book. Another series that doesn't cut it for me. Again only my opinion

I expected more from this book. The beginning that covered the Muse about Malakaro was great. I would have appreciated more on Pryor's torture, she seemed to 'get over it' fairly quickly once Randy got through to her, I don't count her time in shock as recovery. Nice Ruin twist, the lead up to it was well done, didn't see it coming. But I really need a handle on ages. It was said Pryor was 15 at the end, and earlier it seemed Aaden was 3 years older, so is he 18 then? The twist and being 18 kind of throws me. But really, all the Guardians and Akons were stuck as teenagers, right?

bought it when it was first released from nook. I read ed some each day and tried to find other things to do so I wouldn't read it in one day. it is so good. Lola always leaves u wanting more and u hate when a book ends because u have to wait again for another brilliant book. fall of the chosen has everything u could ask for and more! transporting readers into the book like u are actually there. good job lola!

I think I love this series even more than the first!
One thing, though... This author has the best cliff hangers ever, I never saw any of them coming all the way through, except the cliffhanger to book 2 leading into book 3... I saw Pryor being kidnapped by the Centre coming a mile away!
This is only significant because the cliffhangers are usually completely surprising, and this one was a little predictable. Other than that, no complaints!!

Argh cliffhanger
I cannot believe there was that cliffhanger. It drove me insane. This book was intense, the torture was horrendous. I do do not understand how Aiden exclaims how much he loves Pryor, yet he is always making out with Ruin. I really wish that Pryor would make out with someone else, of maybe fall in love with someone else, so that Aedan can get a taste of his own medicine or Pryor would be able to fall in love with someone else.

Some Angels aren't so nice
"The Center" Damn I thought all Angels were supposed to help each other help protect mankind? So why did some Angels try to kill off the newest and strongest of them all, the " Noru. I guess Omnis must have been napping when the Center was created. But pure goodness conquers all.

Fantastic!
Another great book to a great series, again I felt so much emotion it was like I was there in the book with the fabulous characters! Completely hooked and couldn't stop reading which is why I had to get the rest of the books! This series makes you wanna cry scream and laugh! There such a good team! So worth reading and can't wait for the next one!

I love everything Lola Stvil writes thos book delivers just like the rest of them. Yes there is up and down parts I scream about but that just shows how pulled into the books I get. Thank you Lola for another great one.

Despite it taking me ages to read (I'm still not sure why it took me so long) I loved this book. I sat in shock and I felt kind of sick through this book. I now have to wait for the next one. It's going to be so long. Loved the ending.

This book, the whole series so far has had me an emotional rollercoaster. Lola StVil is an amazing author who grabs you by the head and doesn't let you go! Perfect book!!!! And now I find out there are more coming. Ugh!!!!!!!!

The ending is PAINFUL & to have to wait for Book 4 was torture. Poor Pryor & Diana. I wanted to drop kick Silver, but I'm glad I waited to see the WHY of it. The first 2 books in this series were eh eh. Keep reading!

Love it
Lola puts so much detail into her books that I feel like I'm right there with the team. I love the characters and each of their storylines. I hate cliffhangers though.
