He Stay Lyin

Rate this book

Lamar has always relied on charm, confidence, and lies to get his way. Saying whatever sounds good in the moment has worked for him—until the stories start slipping and the truth gets harder to dodge.

Phoenix finally walks away when Lamar’s lies become impossible to ignore. But just as she starts picking up the pieces, life throws her a curveball she never saw coming—she’s pregnant. The breakup should’ve been the end, yet circumstances force Lamar back into her space. Little by little, he eases his way back in, leaning on familiarity, guilt, and promises Phoenix isn’t sure she believes anymore.

Laniya hates a liar. She clocks dishonesty fast, and when Lamar’s words don’t line up, she knows he’s playing games. What Lamar doesn’t realize is that she’s the wrong person to play with.

Meanwhile, Lamar’s closest friend Dre thinks he’s running game like always. Confident and careless, he settles into Carmen’s world believing he’s the one in control—until he slowly realizes Carmen has been playing the game better, smarter, and longer than he ever imagined.

As lies overlap, relationships tangle, and control starts slipping, the women involved begin waking up—and the men learn the hard way that deception always comes with consequences. In He Stay Lyin’, love is messy, truth is dangerous, and every lie comes with a price.
