January 29, 2026Hello reader!
Welcome to the first book in my next series. I'm very excited to introduce you to the Sisters of Harvest Moon, Colorado. This series was inspired by so many things that I love: The movie, Practical Magic, The TV series, Charmed (original version), and, of course, the lyrics to one of my all-time favorite Taylor Swift songs, "The Prophecy."
In this first book, you'll meet the oldest sister, town veterinarian Dandelion "Dani" McGuire who, for a number of reasons, has sworn off love. That is until she finds a wayward dog on a local hiking trail that belongs to way too charming, Bryce O'Dell.
As whispers spread through Harvest Moon, Dani learns Bryce is an investigative journalist who has ties to the area. He's also desperate to reanimate his withering career, and he believes the hidden secrets about Harvest Moon, and the supposed "magic" tied to the mysterious McGuire sisters, is his way to get back in the game.
Dani does everything she can to disrupt Bryce's plans, but the more she gets to know him, the more she senses he is meant to be in her life. When Bryce digs deeper into her family history and new revelations come to light, Dani worries he just might choose the lure of a red hot story over the chance to build a life with her.
This book is filled with many things dear to my heart: sister relationships. quirky town characters, and complicated family dynamics. I hope you'll check it out, and fall in love with Harvest Moon and these messy, complicated sisters as much as I have.

Amy True

Thank you to the author for my gifted ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I had such a good time reading this book. It's the first book in The Sisters of Harvest Moon series and it was a great introduction.
I loved the town of Harvest Moon. It was small, quaint and all about the community. It really would be my ideal place to live.
Dani, the main character, was a such a protector of her sisters to the detriment of her own happiness sometimes. Throughout the book I was rooting for her to get some sense of peace and a relationship she deserved!
The overall story was really well written. I loved the choices of names for the sisters (all floral) and the enemies to lovers storyline was well executed. I really trusted that Bryce would not want to hurt Dani.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes cosy fantasy and I can't wait to jump back into Harvest Moon!

I absolutely loved this small-town tale of the McGuire sisters, Dani, Lia and Aster. Raised by their grandmother, this felt kind of “Charmed” coded, without actual witchcraft, but still a hint of the supernatural. Dani, the town’s vet, begins a love-hate relationship with Bryce, a reporter on assignment from out of town. Although he has a legitimate reason for being in Harvest Moon, as he’s inherited his late uncle’s cabin, Dani and her sisters greet him with suspicion, as they’ve had a previous negative interaction with a reporter all too keen to spill the town’s magical secrets.
The push and pull between Dani and Bryce is an interesting one, as they both recognize that they are adversaries of sorts, yet find it impossible to ignore the almost magnetic attraction between them. Dani’s family is also a bit of a hurdle, as she is fiercely protective of them, despite them having their issues, and all dealing with her absentee mother. Bryce, as an only child raised by a single mother, doesn’t really have the same kind of familial bond, yet longs to be part of their trusted circle. As the story is told only from Dani’s point of view, his true feelings and motives are often brought into question. We the readers are left to be suspicious of him, same as Dani, all the while rooting for the two of them to sort themselves out and realize they are meant to be together.
Beyond the romance, the heart of this book really is the tale of a group of strong women, stepping into their power (literally and figuratively) and not letting anything bring them down. United, they absolutely will stand and defend themselves against whatever negative external forces come their way. This is the first book in the Harvest Moon series, and it does a fantastic job of introducing key characters, and the town. I am absolutely charmed by Harvest Moon, and can’t wait to see what comes next in the series!

Amy True has such an incredible talent for writing small-town romances. The journey her characters go on to find their way back to each other (and to themselves), and the way True's writing makes the setting of the town feel like a character in itself, have always moved me. That being said, "Clearly Charmed" is the best thing True has written yet (and that's saying something, as I LOVE her "Ivy Falls" series and highly recommend reading that as well!).
"Clearly Charmed" is a love letter to family and the magic of Mother Nature as much as it is a romance. The constant questioning of "will they, won't they" between the main characters, Dani and Bryce, and "is this supernatural magic or the magic of the everyday" had me turning pages faster and faster. Colorado holds a very special place in my heart and True did an incredible job making me feel like I was right there among the trees in the small, rural town of Harvest Moon.
The most poignant element for me of True's books is the relationships between the characters, and additionally, the relationship the reader builds with the characters. Dani, Lia, Aster, Clo, Bryce, Elena, Mo (I could go on to name every other character) were so vivid and real. I saw a part of myself in all of them. True captured the dichotomy of the privilege and the pain it is to be an Eldest Daughter with such grace. The magic of Dani's story will continue to sit in my heart.
I cannot wait to spend more time in Harvest Moon! Anxiously waiting for Lia and Aster's stories.
I would recommend this for fans of good books! But more specifically, if you're looking for a fantastic fall witch-y vibes read that hits no matter the season, are a fan of books with speculative magic, and/or just love books with so much heart you feel better after reading them, "Clearly Charmed" by Amy True is for you! This book hits shelves on September 15th, 2026.

If you are the Reader who adores sisterly bonds and magical vibes found in "Charmed" and savor the small town feel of "Gilmore Girls", then this book is for you.
While Dani and Bryce are the central figures of this Read, you'll savor the secondary characters in this Read from the matriarchal head of Dani's family, Clo, ( tiny in stature but wields a heavy influence on this town) to the many characters with their distinct personalities. The annual festival is one of the highlights of the read where the planning leading to the event is ripe with humor. Once the event occurs, the Author wastes little time in tossing in some cute moments (see: Aster's clothing for the siblings) and a bit a mystery that ensues with one of the event attendees.
There's always some movement in this Read from navigating trails with Dani to working with her family and community to stave off a wildfire. Then there's the animal element from Dani's appeal to wildlife and domestic animals alike. Her gifts are one she's chalked up as special like her sisters but in no way magic. Enjoyed how the Author traces her lineage in this small town and why Dani is so incredibly protective of her siblings.
This appears to be the start of a wonderful series by this Author. She teases the Reader with some Easter Eggs as to her sisters' (Asta and Lia) potential romances. Her writing balances dialogue with wonderful descriptions of the settings. Only a four rather than five star read as would have liked to create an image in this Reader's mind of Dani's appearance. She did such a wonderful one of Bryce with references to his build, his face, and of course, a nod to one Hollywood's classic leading men.

I would like to thank the author and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book and for the opportunity to read it and review it.
I was really intrigued by the premise of this book because I love both fantasy and magical realism, and when I noticed that it wasn’t categorized as fantasy, I became curious. Based on the premise it sounded like there would be some magical elements, so I went into it wondering whether it would lean more towards magical realism instead. And I think it definitely does, even though the magic ultimately leans more towards the fantasy side. It actually reminded me a lot of the movie “The Good Witch”, even though their stories are completely different, they gave me a similar feeling of wondering: is this person actually magical, or is this the kind of magic that exists in everyday life? Is what we’re seeing “real” magic in the fantasy sense, or something a little more “real”? I really enjoyed that aspect of the story and the way it played with that idea. I also loved the small town setting, I’m always drawn to small town books, so that was another element that really worked for me. There is also a strong focus on the bond between sisters and on female-centered themes, which I really appreciated. So if you enjoy magical realism, small town settings, strong sisterly relationships, and stories centered around women, I think this is for you.

Clearly Charmed was such a cozy and charming read! I loved the small-town setting of Harvest Moon and the little hints of something magical surrounding Dani and her sisters. It had that Charmed-coded feeling without being outright witchy, which made me keep wondering just how much of what was happening was actually supernatural.
Dani and Bryce were a fun pairing too. Dani is fiercely protective of her sisters and their secrets, so the last person she wants around is an out-of-town reporter asking questions about the town. Their attraction makes things a little complicated, and I really enjoyed the push and pull between them. Since we only get Dani's POV, I also found myself questioning Bryce and his intentions right along with her.
But honestly, my favorite part was the sisterhood. Dani, Lia, and Aster's relationship gave the story so much heart, and I loved seeing the strong women in this family protect and support each other. The little hints about what might be coming for the other sisters definitely made me curious about the rest of the series too.
Overall, this was a fun mix of small-town romance, family, mystery, sisterhood, and just a touch of magic. I'm definitely interested in returning to Harvest Moon!

This was a fun start to the Sisters of Harvest Moon series! Dani is the local veterinarian and fiercely protective of her family, especially keeping the town’s rumors about their magical abilities from attracting more attention—and tourists—to Harvest Moon.
When she learns a reporter is coming to write a story about the town’s mystical reputation, Dani is determined to stop the article before it can cause trouble. Enter Bryce, who literally stumbles into her life on a forest trail. He’s in town to settle his deceased uncle’s affairs while also writing the article as a chance at a career comeback.
The attraction between Dani and Bryce is undeniable, and the more they try to avoid the magic and keep their distance, the harder it becomes to resist the pull between them. I loved Dani’s protective mama-bear personality when it came to her sisters. I also couldn’t help but picture her as Snow White—wherever she went, the animals seemed to follow!
I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the other two sisters.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hera Books for the free advanced copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What a charming story! Love love love. The story felt so easy to follow cuz the plot seems to flow naturally. I was so compelled to learn more about this magical stuff from the Harvest Moon upon reading, to how the plot is unraveling. The romance between Dani and Bryce was pretty wonderful. The banter is bantering. And the man was literally yearning for her!!! They developed this sophisticated dynamic cuz of Bryce being a journalist, and how skeptical and protective Dani was towards herself, home, and family. But Bryce was so determined, and still so earnestly proving himself for her.
Additionally, the sisterhood is one of my favorite highlights from this! So endearing!!! They are also so wonderfully written, and so protective of each other. I cannot wait to read and learn more about them, and delve more into the Harvest Moon alongside their family line as the story goes by. Plus I see those hints of their love interests as well, so as a romance girly, I’m so excited!!! And so yeah!! I overall enjoyed reading this.
Thank you to Amy True, NetGalley, Canelo, & Hera Books for this arc!

When I saw a small town read with Practical Magic vibes I knew I HAD to read it! This was such a fun start to this series and I can't wait to see where the McGuire sisters take us.
Dani is the eldest sister who has always looked after her family. There have been rumors spread about them since they were born regarding possible magic and they just want to live their quiet lives in a small town without judgement. When reporter Bryce comes to town, Dani is determined that she can steer his story away from them to save her family any more trouble. Their meet cute was so adorable and I loved the bond they formed as well as their dogs. I enjoyed the closeness of this small town even with the trouble it causes the sisters occasionally. There was also a bit of mystery tied in to this story and it really kept me hooked in and not wanting to stop until I got answers along with the girls. Amy described this town so perfectly and it made me feel like I was there which is always a joy when reading a small town fall read.
This is a great read for anyone wanting a cozy, witchy, fall vibe book.

I really enjoyed the magic system crosscut with family history that the author builds in this story. It had interesting nuances that made it stand out from other small town, witchy sister type stories. The grit and strong character of the FMC made me want someone who could create a safe space with a soft landing for her. Bryce, our MMC, provides this in a really interesting way.
Bryce literally crashes into the story in a way that makes him seem like a single-minded bumblebee, bumbling around the McGuire family history with little regard for the careful and delicate threads that hold Dani and her family together. Despite his initial entrance, Bryce is revealed to have more depth and nuance that we gave him credit for. He is found to approach stories with a wonder and reverence for those in it, and we see how his awe for Dani swells to become an unconditional champion for Dani and her family.

I love Harvest Moon, it sounds like a gorgeous place, so cosy with a lovely community.
I was a huge fan of Charmed growing up so was very excited that this was one of the things that inspired the author. I loved the sisters, their grandma and the family dynamics. I’m excited that this is a series and hope each sister gets their own book.
I was initially uncertain about Dani, as she seemed a little grumpy and standoffish but I did warm up to her as the story progressed and we learnt more about her.
I like the magical abilities in this book too. Wouldn’t it be so much easier and save you a lot of heartbreak if you had the power to see your perfect match. Although that depends on the person with the power, iykyk.
The romance with Bryce was slow burn but there’s a pull towards each other that they can’t deny. She’s directly protective of her family and he came to town looking to expose magic. There’s tension, chemistry and drama.
Overall, this was a fun read and great for the cosy season.
I rate this 4⭐️

This was such a charming, cozy read! I enjoyed the combination of small-town romance with just the right amount of magic sprinkled in. Harvest Moon, Colorado was a fun setting, and I loved the idea of the McGuire sisters being part of the town’s local “witchy” lore.
Dani was an easy character to root for, especially with her love of animals and her work as the town veterinarian. I also enjoyed the chemistry between her and Bryce and the added tension of him being a journalist who has come to town specifically to investigate Dani and her sisters. It gave their romance a little extra complication without taking away from the lighthearted, cozy feel of the story.
Overall, this was a sweet and entertaining small-town romance with lovable characters, a little mystery, and a touch of magic. I enjoyed my time in Harvest Moon and would happily continue with the rest of the McGuire sisters’ stories!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC. All opinions and thoughts are my own!

Clearly Charmed is small town veterinarian Dani and reporter Bryce’s magical and entertaining read. This is book one to the Sisters of Harvest Moon Series and it’s off to a magical start. This author is fairly new to me and I’m struggling to understand why we haven’t crossed paths sooner because this was a cozy and charming read.
Dani does everything she can to protect her family and trying to keep under wraps the town rumours about their magical abilities. When she finds out a reporter is in town to write a story about the town and its mystical mysteries she is determined to stop the article from going to press. What she didn’t expect was to come across him hiking through the woods…..what follows is a push and pull romance that they both try to fight.
This has all the vibes of a magical fairy tale, it’s a captivating read that drew me in and didn’t let me go.

I was drawn in from the beginning and am looking forward to the rest of the series. Is it kismet, fate or divine intervention? Talk has always followed the McGuire sisters in the town of Harvest Moon. Their family is one of the founders of the town and when an outsider and a reporter at that arrives, the town comes under a microscope. The first book in the series centers around Dani (Dandelion) the oldest of the three sisters.. She is the town veterinarian and animals of all kinds are drawn to her, including the cute guy who stumbles out of the woods while hiking. The attraction and connection is instant, but Dani is straddling, protecting her family and listening to her heart. There are sweet moments, some chuckles (as the sisters can be hilarious), some revelations and fun moments. This was a cute story!

‘Clearly Charmed’ was such a fun quirky read. I was immediately drawn in as the storyline intrigued me immediately. Harvest moon was described so picturesquely and it definitely had that magical feeling, I absolutely loved the fact that animals were constantly apart of the story, it melted my heart!
The characters names were such an adorable quirk, I loved that the McQuire's names were floral themed, the sisters also had a beautiful strong bond and they are such lovable characters. The only thing that I would have loved is more backstory behind the family tree but this is because I am a backstory lover! Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this read, the strong friendships and sisterly bond were my favourite parts and of course the spice!
If you are looking for a cosy autumn read then add this to your TBR!

Dandelion "Dani" McGuire (resident "witch") has undeniable chemistry with the out-of-town journalist, but if she opens up to him he may just write a story that could condemn her and her sisters. Having been burned in the past it's not to easy to give someone the power to hurt you but it may prove fruitful of she does.
I love the dynamic between Bryce and Dani, they are such magnetic characters who truly deserve the best and I feel myself championing them throughout. This truly is a cosy autumnal read that has set off my need to rewatch Practical Magic and potentially have a midnight margarita 🍸
Thank you Novel Tours for providing me this, I can't wait for the next book!
Autumnal. Comforting. Magical.

This was such a cute and magical book! This is my first time reading this author and she really delivered. It was spicy, fun and shows the reader that magic can come in a variety of ways.
I really wouldn’t call this a true enemies to lovers, but there was a lot of tension between the main characters. Bryce is an out-of-town journalist there to do a job and get a story to save his career and Dani, a veterinarian, wants to protect her family and the town she lives in.
When they meet, sparks fly even though it takes them both a while to figure out and they like figuring it out!
It’s gonna be great to get into the other sisters storylines so I’m looking forward to reading more!
Thank you to NetGalley and Canelo for this arc in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are my own.

4.5 ⭐️ What an absolutely fantastic and beautiful story this was! It was like a warm, cozy comfy hug from your best friend.
There were SO many elements to fall in love with: A Small Town where everyone comes to together to make the best of the community, mom and pop shops all along the main road, the backdrop of tall pines and snow capped mountains, three tightly knit and devoted sisters each with their own special affinities that makes them unique but also that strongly ties and connects them together. If you liked the sisterly bond and magical atmosphere of Practical Magic, you will love these sisters and their story here. There’s definitely some very special and *magical* feelings you will experience while reading this one. Perfect perfect for your Fall TBR!

Thank you so much NetGalley, Amy True, and Hera Books for the ARC!
I LOVED this book! It felt like a great start of my fall reading journey. Fall is my favorite season and the magical elements in this made me feel ready for leaves to change and Halloween!!
Dani and her sisters have the coolest relationship and Dani's connection with animals makes me so jealous. When Bryce comes to town to write an article on the rumblings about the magic surrounding the sisters and his dog Indy runs to Dani in the woods they have an epic meet-cute where their spark is ignited. I was kicking my feet and giggling at their chemistry. I thought this book was so much fun!

This was exactly the cosy witchy romance I wanted! I absolutely loved Dani and Bryce — the small-town setting, enemies-to-lovers tension and little touches of magic had me hooked. Throw in an adorable dog, a vet FMC and a journalist who really shouldn't be sticking his nose into her family's secrets and I was SOLD.
I also loved the relationship between the sisters and the whole magical mystery surrounding their family. It gave me all the cosy autumn vibes without losing the romance, and now I'm completely invested in Harvest Moon and need the rest of the sisters' stories immediately!
Can't wait for more books in this series !

This was a cute & charming read with the perfect mix of humour, magic & romance. I was completely swept up in the characters lives especially the relationship between the 3 sisters.
I loved the magical elements woven in the story. I especially liked how the characters magical abilities wasn't blatantly obvious it was more are they magic or just gifted.
It's cosy, light hearted, & super easy to lose yourself in. It's definitely a book that makes you want to grab a warm drink & curl up with a blanket whilst you read.
If you enjoy charming magical romances, small town settings & a cosy atmosphere then you want to add this one to your tbr.

Truly charming ✨ if I do say so myself.
As someone who loved Charmed and Practical Magic - this really did give you enchanted vibes. Everything I read felt so realistic, from the bond of sisterhood to the small talk throughout the town.
I love Dani and Bryce’s relationship and their magnetic pull towards each other - how they couldn’t get enough of each other. I loved it. I love his protection over her even though she was fighting him lol
I can’t wait for more of the sisters and how their walls break for love. I’m also excited to see how things get fixed with between family.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this beautiful story.

Clearly charmed is an enchanting read to get you in the mood for Halloween. The romance is full of chemistry but it is the mystery behind the McGuire sisters that takes the driver’s seat. The sisters are a delight and the secrets revealed are intriguing. Yes, indeed, I was charmed by the sisters of the harvest moon.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley. I dont normally read books with magic or fantasy, but this one has just the right amount! I loved the relationship build up between Dani and Bryce. As well as Dani's emotional journey of self acceptance!
