5 STARS are no way near enough stars to show just how much I loved this book!Angie truely saved the best for last.Silence is one of the BEST BOOKS I have ever read.I feel inlove with this series at book 1 and my love just grew deeper after each book....But this book was soo soo soo soo much better the rest of the series. You get all your answers from questions you have has since wayyy in the begining.Charaters who you have loved and those you have hated will just blow your mind away!So many JAW DROPPING moments.I cant wait for people I know to read this so we can talk,,because I have sooooooooooo much love for this book I wont shut up about it for a very long time.Ara becomes this strong self assured person who grew up to be who she was meant to be all her life.David and Ara still very much in love still have many problems to fix. They do with a bang!!!You can fight FATE with TRUE love.Family becomes very important to Ara and for a great reason, there baby. She has to fight so many demons and ghosts and witches. This story has so many twists and turns it kept me on the edge of my seat.I needed more,it was like a drug..I could never get enough.Where I thought this story would go....Boy was I plain wrong. The ending was just EPIC.I never thought i would cry more after reading David being put into the fire a few books ago, again I was wrong.I needed plenty of tissue. There are a few moments of pure heart wrentching sadness. They were many of LOL moments aswell.I was pulled into this book so much I felt everything.I felt the wind, rain and the strong feelings Ara would get in her forest.I felt the tree come alive beneath her hands.I felt there heart aches when sadness was dropped on them.It felt like I was in each and every room the characters where in.Very specific details were in this book.I truly loved each and every page.Ara and David's relationship of trust and deep love grew in this last book. The have been through hell and back and there ending was just perfect!!!I feel Angie truley out did herself in this book.Authors are real people who have every day problems and yet she carried on giving us the best book EVER.Through out each book in this series I saw this author grow with her writing taking on bigger plots and giving 100% of everything she had into her writting. For that I will always be thankful.Years from now I will always remember this series and how it affected my heart, how she wrote such a story that I was pulled in so deeply it was breath taking.I could go on and on,buttom line...you must read this last book.If you have not started The Dark Secret Series, you are missing one hell of an epic ride! Again I warn you buckle up!!!! Be prepared to have your DAMN MIND BLOWN AWAY.

This book satisfies a spot on my #SFvFBingo reading challenge. I’m putting it on Bite Me. It also counts towards my Finishing the Series Challenge we are hosting. Now, it says its the final book in this series but on the amazon page it shows one more, however, it is categorized as a novel length epilogue and I am not reading that.

Honestly I read this series sooooo long ago I barely remembered it when I started. The series is very detailed and I forgot how much drama there was. I remembered as we went along but it seemed so high school that I just kept laughing at the ridiculousness of the story line. It was info dump after info dump and the dialogue was choppy. IT seemed the author was just trying to come up with fluff to fill the pages and tie up the loose ends. She did fill it with unnecessary story lines and plot points but in the end nothing was really resolved.

I felt totally disconnected to Ara’s character. She was whiny and wishy washy and seemed to make a rash decision without thinking it through. Then she would just stick with it even if she was wrong because she was too stubborn to see anyone else’s POV.

David was way too enabling in my opinion, not to mention his tastes were borderline sadistic. The only one I’m real sad about is Jason. He was the best character in this book and he got the worst story line! I wanted Jason to get the girl but then his character was drastically changed in this book. So much so I felt the author just got lazy in the end and couldn’t figure out a way to resolve his actions so she made him get amnesia. Bummer.

A.M. Hudson has outdone herself! Silence is everything a great book should be! As the last installment of The Dark Secrets Series I wasn't sure how to feel, but Silence by far surpassed all of my expectations. The characters in this book are so well rounded and easy to love. It feels like I've known them for years, and, though, I am sad to say goodbye, it was one hell of a ride!

It is bitter sweet when knowing a series you have to come to love and cherish is ending, but Hudson left nothing to ponder. Every question is answered and every mystery solved. Along with a bunch of new twists and turns that will stop you in your tracks!

I hate spoilers so I will not tell you much, but I will tell you that Silence is the best in the series! Ara has come so far from the little girl we met so many years ago. And if you can believe it she shows even more growth in Silence then any other book. We get to see a side of her we've never seen before. David still makes me swoon, Jase is still the sweetest guy in the world, and Mike is, as always, the best friend a girl could ever have. We get to see all of Ara's friends and family from the previous books, along with a new character or two.

Silence really opened up my eyes to how much this series means to me. I have lived and breathed The DSS for the last few years, and it ended exactly how it started... With grace, emotion, friendship, beautifully written words, and love. Always love.

I received an ARC of Silence from Author AM Hudson in exchange for an honest review.
I began this series, as I have with many others, thinking to pass the time and hopefully enjoy a decently good story. I had read so many books and series that only a few ever left me with an impression of any kind. This series has definitely left me with an impression! From the beginning with Dark Secrets I was drawn in to this amazing world with characters that seemed to leap off the page and snare me in their web, drawing me in and leaving me with a burning desire to read more. I couldn't get enough! As I've continued this journey through each book I've felt all range of emotion from happiness and laughter to tears and actual grief. I felt a part of the story, like I was actually there experiencing what the characters were going through. AM Hudson has written an epic story of young love, loss and learning to be ok with yourself. Ara, our young heroine has grown so much from Dark Secrets to Silence. She was such a lost little girl with a heart full of pain but grows into a woman who can hold her own! And don't even get me started on the Knight brothers, the're both still my favorites! I feel as though Ara, David, Jase and all the supporting characters have become family! I've loved every moment spent with them and have to say that Silence was a perfect ending to such an astounding and beautiful story. Thank you AM Hudson for sharing this amazing world with us!

Silence: Echoes & Silence part 2 marks the end of A.M. Hudson's Dark Secrets--a series I've been a following from day one and spent countless hours fan-girling over with my sister. The average rating for this final book is 4.80, so I feel a little bad about my 3 star rating, but it is what it is...

Here's the thing with series finales: I either LOVE them or I'm bitterly disappointed. I've read countless series in the past and it just seems that there's rarely any other reaction. There have been many final books that left me crying happy tears and feeling more and more sad as I turned each page because a world I'd come to love was ending (a prime example is Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Princess that I sobbed over like a lunatic). Unfortunately, when I read Silence , I couldn't wait for it to end... It felt entirely too long, for one. And I'm not afraid of a big book, but much of it seemed pointless. Two, I think the ending was meant to provide a win-win for the main characters, but it didn't work for me. I strongly dislike what became of my favorite character in this series. It seems a little too convenient and I'm just annoyed right now, darn it! And probably needing a nap haha

But with all griping aside, I have really enjoyed this series overall and I'm beyond excited to see what this author delves into next!

This is a really hard review for me to write. I feel like I'm writing a eulogy for my best friend's funeral. The Dark Secrets Series has been a major part of my life over the last couple of years, and to see it end is heart wrenching. I am normally disappointed when a series ends, but this time it is so much more. I am completely and totally gutted! AM Hudson reached deep into my soul and grabbed on tight, bonding me with David, Ara, Jason, Mike, Emily, and the rest of the gang. I will treasure this series for the rest of my life, but I am so excited to see what our amazing Aussie author can bring us next!

In what was supposed to be the last book, Silence book # 6, Ara had to find a way to save her unborn daughter, battled the evil witch, faced a betrayal from her 'father' before finally got what she longed for - A happy life with her loved one, living outside the Manor raising her family like a normal person. But I was still left wondering when I got into the last page about Elora's soul mate (I think it would be Eric), and there's still question about Jason's welfare. After all that he'd been through, it would be cruel just to let him slide off without a proper happy ending! I was so curious that when I finished reading this book, I immediately started reading book # 7 Bound by Secrets to find the answers. I was glad that I didn't skip the introduction page because the author wrote an important note about the correct reading order. I would probably end up confused with the story if I proceed with it before reading Bound 1 & 2. I'm so thankful for that!

Finishing Silence was in a way bittersweet for me. This series came recommended by a newly found book blogger friend. I crashed so hard into Ara and David’s world that even as I started down the dark and twisted road of their entwining lives I never knew that a single book or in this case a series would shape the way I think about story telling. Silence as the part 2 conclusion of th series really came at a strange time in life as I battled personal demons. Picking up Silence, honestly, gave me hope because of the situations these characters faced and their determination to fight the darkness ahead of them and that’s something I need to thank A.M. Hudson for because I don’t know how much she knows her words through Ara’s hope has helped me cope with my personal struggles in life.

I honestly don’t think I can write one of my typical long winded reviews for Silence because in keeping with its namesake, it left me in Silence. They are so many conflicts going into this epic conclusion that Ara must face that I can’t spoil the literary experience of long time fans if I were to highlight those here. I can simply say that Silence lives up to the dramatic building that you are left with Echoes. While most of the questions you have going into the final book are answered, there are some surprising twists and turns that leave the series a little open ended in my opinion that could possible bring about a spin off series later. As I conclude my review, I will end with this thought. Silence has everything you could ever hope for in a novel with its tests of loyalty, trust, family, and most of all love. Love comes in many forms and throughout your life you are tested in those areas. Ara and those characters that fill her world aren’t immune to these tests of fate, but all that matters is who is left when the dust settles and the final toll of battle has been rung. Thank you A.M. Hudson for what may be the best literary experience of my life.

Since this review is about the last book in this series, I need to start this review on how my journey began. I got the first book in this series for free off of amazon. I absolutely loved the first book and jumped right into the next book. The story started to change into something different than what I expected, but I liked it. As the books progressed, I had to keep going back to reread parts from other books to keep information straight in my head. There's just so much going on in Ara and David's journey, it's hard to keep up.
Now that I've said that, I must say that A.M. Hudson did a fantastic job wrapping the story up. Although not everything happened as I might have wanted it to, it was just the way it should have been. Well done, A.M. Hudson!
It hard to express how I feel about this book without giving spoilers. I will say that some characters I lost faith in, within the last few books, redeemed themselves in the end with me. I can see so much growth in the characters. Ara has become such a different character than what we got in the first few books. Her transition has been amazing to follow. I learned so much more about David in this book than I had in the rest of the series. I loved that Ara read his journals so that the reader got that intimate perspective and connection from David. The content from the journals was pretty dark but also expected ( you will have to read to find out what was in there).
Overall this book was a great way to bring the story of this series to a place where I felt comfortable leaving it at. I highly recommend reading this book, but you most certainly have to start reading from the first book in the series. I'm sad to see it end, but I look forward to reading future works from A.M. Hudson.

I have mixed feelings about finishing this book, its a bitter sweet thing just because I feel like I have been reading and following the journey of each character for years. I have never read a series like this and dont think I will.

Dark secrets is a magical, dark, enchanting, heart breaking, beautiful series that I think will stay with me forever.

If I'm honest, I found the start kinda boring I dont know why but I was having a hard time getting back in to it and enagaging in the story. It wasn't until about when when Drake told Ara he is her dad that I really started fall in love with this story again.

Im happy for the most part with how this series ended except for Jasons ending, as I've alwasy been an Ara & Jason fan! I would have liked for him to have more of a happy ending. Im happy David & Ara finally got their happy ending they fought so damn hard for and that their baby girl ended up being safe from the real vilian in the story and Ara managed to find a soul for her.

In this book I really fell in love with Drake and the man that he is, he turned out to be one of my favorite characters.

I feel like even though a lot of my questions were answered I have more lol like who did Ara choose as her daughters soul mate and what did Lilith mean when she said his soul will be used later, was it something to do with Ara falling pregnant again?

Apart from those questions and minor things I love how everything turned out and Dark Secrets is by far the best vampire series I have ever read. Will miss following the journey of each charater and wondering whats going to happen next, wonderful job A.M Hudson

Silence the epic ending.

Epic can be described as extremely awesome, monumental, and magnificent.

Silence is nothing short, of epic.

It all comes down to this. Will the ambitious Queen Ara be able to save her King, his brother, and the unborn Princess? Will her past sins be discovered and punished by her people? Will she and those she cares so deeply about make it out alive and finally be able to grab the happy ending that has been just out of reach this entire time?

I can't tell you how many times my heart raced; how many times I had to pick my jaw up from the floor; how absolutely broken I felt at times-I lost count. One minute, I'd have the puzzle figured out and the next, I'd be rearranging the pieces, hoping desperately that everything worked out in favor for each of the characters I've grown to love so much. It was a beautiful struggle.

I've found myself relieved that the story is over. I feel like I can finally breathe again after so long of holding my breath , worrying, and hoping for the best. But at the very same time I'm completely heartbroken that it is, because of how deeply head over heels in love I've fallen with this series.

A.M. Hudson, I applaud you. It has been one wild and very emotional ride. (One that I would definitely take again and again.) I am now patiently anxiously awaiting your next series. I can't wait to begin a new journey through your writing; a journey full of everything the Dark Secrets Series offered and more.

<3

PS: I still LOVE DAVID! <3<3<3

In true AM Hudson fashion, she has written an astonishing, emotional finale to her Dark Secrets Series. Silence brought all of the pieces of my heart back into play. With each book in this series, I found I was leaving pieces of my heart littered about as each one unfolded. She made me cry, made me angry, made me frustrated, and made me love. These books came at a time in my life, when I needed them desperately. AM Hudson gave me a reason to get up each morning while recovering from several surgeries. She gave me a reason to look forward to the coming months just because another book in her series would be releasing. I was very nervous for the conclusion. I was terrified that all of my hopes and dreams for these characters would be blown to bits. I was afraid that maybe she didn't see the ending that many of us were dreaming of.....I could not have been more wrong.
This book gave me back those missing pieces of my heart. AM gave us bombshells, love, tragedy, hope, and a conclusion that only a masterful story teller could envision. I have said many times that she is one of my favorite authors; I can tell you now with certainty that she IS my favorite author. Thinking of giving this series a try? The time it takes you to read them, will be some of the best literary moments in your life! You may not know what you're missing by not reading this series......but I do!

Before I get into my review, let me just say if you haven't read this series you are missing out!! Go get Dark Secrets and take a sensational ride!
When I finished Silence I had to take some time to unravel all the emotions that I experienced through reading the final book of the series.... Angie requested an honest review, and although I loved the rest of the series I wasn't sure how she could tie up every loose end and not seem as if it was rushed or thrown together.... But she did and it was AMAZING!!! I applaud her for a beautifully written end to this series and I am well satisfied.
I experienced shock, laughter, sadness, anger and everything in between. I couldn't stop reading because I had to know what happened next. By the time the last page was turned I only had ONE question unanswered. But I'll not give any spoilers. ;)
I am so sad that this series is over, it was a journey that I am so glad I saw finished. Stumbling onto this series was an unforgettable find by this avid reader.
I did receive a copy of Silence in exchange for an honest review and that's exactly what you got. Thank you AM Hudson for this incredible story.

I was given an arc of this book in return for an honest review.

I rarely write a review straight after finishing a book, and I sit here writing this one with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. I knew reading the last installment would be extremely bitter sweet as I really didn't want this story to come to an end... But as far as endings so, this one was epic!!

Prepare to have all your previous questions answered, find answers to questions that you didn't know you needed and through it all prepare to be emotional!! Angie has out done herself with this book. She brought the story to an end in such a perfect way that even though I am saying goodbye to characters that I have become extremely attatched to... I can do so with a smile.

It has been such a privilege to be a part of this amazing journey, and to know that I can still pick up these books 1 month, a year from now and still throughly enjoy reading them speaks volums about how brilliantly they are written. Thank you Angie for bringing David and Ara into our lives and giving us a story that will genuinely stay with me forever :) xx

AMHudson does it again. The book gives you everything you wanted and more..... yet leaves just a little unanswered for possible more works from this amazing writer! So many questions answered in so many ways and some GREAT surprises.
Sometimes when you read some books you can relate to the situations. Well, with this book there are situations with love, friendship, hate, revenge, humor, and mystery. There has to be at least one storyline from the book that anyone reading it can relate to! I cried, I laughed, and I even had a couple of head turns as if I was Petey listening into the conversation.Without giving anything away it is great to find out more about Arthur, Emily, Mike, Sam, Drake, Petey, and of course Ara,David and Jase!
Five stars is not enough. As a true fan it was WELL worth the wait.AM was smart to break it into two parts and should be proud of this work of art!
I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.....however, if I didnt I still would have bought the book from such a great writer with a great series!

Perfect ending!!!

A.M. Hudson does a wonderful job bringing this series to an end. Beautifully written closure for characters that everyone has come to know and love. I am almost sorry that the series is at an end but I must say that everything in this book was summed up beautifully. In true A.M. Hudson fashion the characters in this series have gone through tremendous growth since the first book. Ara and her choices are very relatable this time around but fear not, there is no lack of plot twists! Readers will not be disappointed and suitably surprised!

Silence is a wonderfully written book of love, loss, betrayal, and perseverance. The story has a great way of making you evaluate the meaning of time, loyalty, family, & love. Definitely a must read!

I would suggest that anyone not familiar with the series to start with the first book and read the series from start to finish.

This is the final book in the Series and it was Amazing, exciting, heart-stopping, and surprising and the best Vampire story out there. It needs to be made into a movie. One can only hope.
Yes I am Team David since the beginning. This is a Love story that had David and Ara fighting since the beginning and against every person in the word to be together. Through highest of highs and the lowest of lows some how they worked through it. So many questions are final answered and quit a few of them were a shock. I have loved this series and AM Hudson and I am sad that it is over. This series is a must read and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Sadly, I was bored the first 1/3 of the book. The book seemed to go like a roller coaster of interest to bored. I'm not sure what she could have done different. She stayed true to the characters and progression of the story but I didn't feel it this time. I loved the series and would recommend it.

I thought this book was phenomenal! This probably isn’t the right way to do this but I could not stop long enough to give each book their own review. I honestly think they should make a movie about this series. It literally drew me into it where I didn’t want to stop reading it for anything.
I fell in love with Jace, of course but still came to love David too.
I love the longer books! The more pages there are the better I like them and these characters literally came alive for me making me feel everything as if it were happening to me.
I highly recommend this series. It will draw you in from the very beginning!
If it were possible, I would have rated it higher than the five stars.

Awesome.

Finally the evil such Day is is gone, Ara and Morgan's are together as the sisters they are. Drake come back to life, Lord Eden is dead. Wow a lot has happened throughout their life, Uncle Arthur's death was a heartbreaking episode. Elite is amazing and growing. David and Are finally had their happily ever after with the curse of Safia broke down. A love this series, I feel really attached with the characters like they are my friends I love them. Thank you Angela for this amazing world of Vampires, Lilithians, Drakonians and wiches . I'm ready to start reading the new book on this series.

This was definitely my favorite one so far (despite a few found strange), but it did show Ara's growth both as a Lilithian and as a woman a mother and a wife. You got to see her find herself regardless of everyone else and show and prove the things she really cares about. I also feel like she's been pregnant for the last 20 books (hyperbole of course), so I am also glad she took that step into adulthood as well. The end is nice because you almost think you need to feel sad (yet again) but it is actually, almost unbelievably, a happy ending for Ara and David. It almost makes me NOT want to read the next one but alas I will trudge through.

Still the best love story ever told!

This book ripped right in to the truths the twists, lies and deceit.
Oh how my heart felt ripped out and broken, tears flowed for the characters I have grown to love as family.
The brilliance and pure excitement this story gives is one of kind, everything you love about the human, paranormal and fantasy world is right in this series.
I never want it to end,I would love to see this authors Magic transferred on to the screen. It has the potential to be the next big vampire paranormal story.

Great wrap up!

I’ve enjoyed this series a lot more than I expected to. Amazon has been recommending I read it for a while and I finally gave in. So glad I did!! I loved seeing Ara grow and bloom into a tough queen and mother. I’m sad to see it end, but was very happy with the way everything was done.
I will be picking up more books by this author!

I was kind of taken aback by this book purely for the fact that it was so slow. All the other books were so catching, that this one didn't grab me like the others. It ended on a good note and I'm glad I didn't give up on the series like I thought I was going to.

Hmm

Kinda felt like the last several chapters of this book could have been its own story. Everything seemed pretty concluded from the original storyline but the end felt like it’s own story. Still curious about Walter. Not sure why that loose string was left open.

I am so proud of the amazing woman and Queen she has become.
