I read this book the very day I took the boat tour on Fourth Lake in Old Forge, NY. The light house in the story is the same light house that serves as the gateway to Fourth Lake in the Fulton chain of lakes in the Adirondacks. This is the perfect book to read with a fourth grade child vacationing in the ADK.
