More! by Ged Adamson is a delightful picture book with an important message of appreciating what you have, especially the people in your life, that will resonate with families - parents, and youngsters alike.
The book follows the friends Squirrel and Mouse as they head out for a walk together. But Squirrel keeps seeing things he wants, loading up with the things and forgetting about his friend Mouse in the process. Poor Mouse gets more frustrated throughout the book, until Squirrel realizes his friend is, in fact, all he needs.
The book is beautifully illustrated and fun to read from start to finish. It is sure to find a place on the bookshelves in homes and libraries everywhere.
I was happy to receive an ARC of #More courtesy of #NetGalley, and highly recommend this delightful book.

This book is so lovely. The subject matter is a life lesson very commonly taught to kids, but it’s also one that never loses its value: belongings mean very little when you can’t share them with those you love. Adamson does a great job showing this to the reader through bright, dynamic panels, driving the message home through repetition and emphasis.

The art is full of charisma while being quite endearing. It’s clear the illustrator has developed a strong personal style, and it’s pleasing to look at.

I can’t recommend this book enough, and I’m interested in picking up more from this author!

Thank you to Netgalley for our arc copy.

This was a fun little story with a big life lesson about how you don't really need things you just needs friends and loved ones around you. My daughter started to crack up every time I would yell more then I would explain he was being selfish. We then had a conversation explaining the what and why's around it. This book is perfect for 3+ as my little one just turned 3 she is started to ask why why why so this book helped quite a bit.

This colorfully illustrated picture book teaches kids that what really matters is cherishing time with your friends, not acquiring more and more stuff. The story is humorous enough that it doesn't feel too preachy, but this is definitely a moral lesson book, rather than a story that kids are likely to gravitate to again and again.

I received a temporary digital copy through NetGalley, and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Very cute story with a big message of how being envious quite literally weighs us down, Taking and putting on only what we need to be "happy" and in the end focusing on what matters most of all the people in our lives and "friendship". Very useful to add to any shelf for a lesson on socio-emotional teaching or just lighthearted fun for little learners. Thanks to Netgalley for ARC of this book.

Fantastic story. The illustrations are adorable and while the story is simple, it serves as a lesson for kids that stuff is just stuff and we don't need more to be happy. It's also a very good reminder for adults, especially parents, to watch our consumption and embrace gratitude for what we do have.

Paired with a cute illustration and this book is a runaway hit and will win the hearts of your little one. A squirrel and a mouse go out to have a very good day. What more could they want. The squirrel wants more. They want a hat, rollerblades, robots, and more. But when they find out that mouse doesn’t need anything more than just time with a good friend, squirrel learns that stuff isn’t needed, just a good friend.

Engaging artwork and a simple story told in a way that would make me want to read it again and again to a class of children. I loved this book. It could be acted out as part of a lesson. I highly recommend it.

This is a beautifully illustrated simple story for early readers. My daughter enjoyed reading about the adventures Squirrel and Mouse get up to. Not only does it work as a lovely bed time story it also holds a powerful life lesson, more isn’t always more!
