Drawing on her own experience, the author describes how to listen and respond effectively, how to help others in common situations such as bereavement or depression, and how to listen to joy and share others' happiness. New material in this edition looks at listening to letters and phone calls, and listening to the blind and the deaf.
Not as profound as Listening to God but this is really Huggett's specialist area - counselling. There is important insight here but snippets rather than anything comprehensive
Mostly biographical, this book charts the author's gradual introduction to healing and wholeness ministries, and the importance of listening.
Useful guidelines and practical advice in an interesting and well-written format. Fifty years old now, but still relevant and very readable, even though much of the information is now readily available online.
I was taken by surprise by how incredibly honest, warm and yet inspiring this book is. I recommend it to those genuinely interested in listening and helping people find restoration and healing.
