Listen… Listen… LISTEN! I went into this book with some preconceived notions. I got something fairly different than what I expected, but it was everything I didn’t know I wanted. Knox is fucking swoony. He’s soft and insightful, the kind of protective you don’t want to be on the wrong side of, and the definition of sex on a stick. There wasn’t as much steam as I typically prefer, but Trust ticked all the emotional boxes. This was my first book by Kathy Lockwood, but absolutely not my last. Generally I won’t go back to the start of a series if I start in the middle, but I actually might with this one. Every single side character has me intrigued!!

I opened Trust and immediately felt like Kathy Lockheart had leaned over my shoulder and whispered, “Hope you weren’t planning a calm afternoon, babe.” Because this book is obsessive, dangerous, tender, and morally gray enough to require hazard lights — and honestly? It delivers.

Knox Blackwood is giving:
“I’m the most dangerous man in this prison, but I will absolutely injure myself daily to check on you.”
Sweetheart, he sees her bruises once and decides to become a one‑man medical emergency generator.
Every time he shows up in the infirmary, it’s like:
“Hi, I’ve acquired a new wound. No, I won’t explain. Yes, it’s for you.”

Our nurse heroine is traumatised, exhausted, and trying desperately to keep her heart locked down — but Knox walks in with that feral protector energy and suddenly she’s breathing again for the first time in years.
She’s giving:
“I’m not falling for an inmate… except I absolutely am and it’s ruining my life in a strangely healing way.”

The chemistry?
Electric.
Every touch feels like a confession.
Every whispered promise feels like a lifeline.
Every moment between them is soaked in danger and devotion.

Sweet ending to the Saints and Sinners series. I adored book 1 and 2. Skipped 3 and disliked 4. Book 5 was also a good one but for some reason I expected more.
More emotion. More angst. More tears. More passion. You get the gist.

Knox had such a beautiful character growth. I love his reasoning, why he decided in a crucial moment to end a man's life. To be honest, many would have done the same. I draw a red line when it comes to pedophiles.
Knox's life was so unfair and heartbreaking.
I wanted to see more interaction with his daughter, Gwen, once he left prison.
I wanted some insecurity from Harper regarding Knox's ex. Yes we know that he didn't really love her but still she's the mother of his child. I wanted drama there.
I wanted more romantic moments between Knox and Harper. I mean yeah they love each other but it was not epic. And also I wish the author addressed the issue of Knox's unconditional love for Harper. Was it because she was pretty and obviously in distress? Was it because she was available? Was it because he felt a connection or because she was convenient? What happens when he leaves jail and he has so many women literally drooling at the sight of him! Will he still vow by Harper? I wanted that addressed as well.

Can I just say how stupidly idiotic Axel is! I had to skip all their group chat conversations because I just couldn't handle his silliness! 🙄
And Ryker, why don't you take a chill pill man! I predict him an aneurism by the age of 36 (he's currently 35!).

A sweet tearjerker moment was the scene where Gwen gives her father the pink album. Be still my heart! My heart broke for them especially for Knox. My favourite part of the book for sure.

Harper was a hot and cold character for me. I felt for her. I wanted to protect her and wished all the best for her. And I do understand her trauma and where she is coming from, I really do. But she was so distant and emotionally detached when it came to Knox. I wanted more small gestures. Endearing moments. More touches and hugs and small kisses and comfort.

Anyway, the book was really good. Great ending to an inconsistent series.

This book is the beautiful and heart wrenching conclusion to the Sinners and Saints series, a series about 5 billionaire best friends who are all their own brand of unhinged. Now I have loved every single book in this series but this one, shocked me and wrecked me in a way so beautiful yet terrifying that I can’t explain. I love a forbidden romance and a prisoner x nurse romance more than anything, but this one was so unbelievably angsty. Knox has so much on the line, one mistake and he may lose his chance at reconnecting with his daughter. Harper is incredibly scarred from her abusive ex, yet can’t help falling for the murder convict who would burn the world for her while whispering sweet nothings in her ear. This plot was just insane, tension at MAX level, and I was crying through at least 50% of it. The plot twists were horrifying yet so incredibly GENIUS. There were so many parts I wanted to kick and scream, and this boom was practically glued to my hand because I could not put it down. After everything they’ve been through, no one deserves a HEA more than them. Let’s talk about Knox because he’s such a contradictory character. On one hands he’s the strong, six-four tattooed prisoner convicted for murder that everyone else is incredibly afraid of. But one look at Harper and he melts like ice cream on a hot summers day. He’s so unhinged, because what do you mean he got himself hurt just to get sent to the infirmary to see her? What do you mean he was willing to risk losing his parole just to save her? He takes Touch her and Die to the best level. And not only is he unhinged, but also incredibly sweet and observant, he notices everything from the slightest hitch of her breath to the furrow of her brow, this man worships her like she’s his religion. But I’m also obsessed with his character development, how Harper gave him hope and encouragement to finally be the father he’s always his daughter to have. Harper is also such a badass character who also goes through a lot of character change, as she heals and starts seeing things in a different way. What I loved most, was how they fit so perfectly together, how they fixed each others souls, and how despite all struggles they came back together. This book is one of the best things I’ve read recently (but watch out because those twists are EVIL and YOU WILL CRY). I give this a 5/5

This got me 😭 while reading on my flight home. First time author but I'll definitely be reading more in this series. I thought the dialogue was a bit awkward in the beginning but once I got further into the story, I felt like it got better. I thought this was quite an emotional read; I really felt Knox's anguish and thought that was that well done.

🔹Plot: Knox Blackwood was an inmate in the prison where Harper started working as a nurse. She was trying to get away from her abusive ex, but that place was definitely not for her, considering the fact that she flinched at each thing that happened in her proximity. But Knox saw that and decided that Harper must be protected by him and that meant getting himself hurt, in order to be near her. Knox shouldn't have any missteps because the freedom he so ardently desired was so close, but can he keep his anger at bay when it came to protecting Harper to not affect his entire future?

🔹Impressiona: I was instantly captivated by this story and by these amazing characters. Both Knox and Harper had a complex past, one which was still consuming them so much in the present. I was so curious about finding out Knox's story, to know why he was present in that prison for so many years. Even though he had many weaknesses when it came to his loved ones, Knox was a good man who would do anything to protect the ones near him. He instantly felt attracted to Harper, even before seeing her, being the cause of their first encounter in the infirmary. All those glances and short secret interactions made them get closer to each other, enhancing that tension which was present between them. The forbidden side of their connection was so good, making everything more dangerous and intense. I also liked that we still had that amazing connection between the other guys from the Sinners and Saints brotherhood, having so many funny moments which included them. There were a couple of suspenseful moments which took my breath away, feeling like I could just jump into the book and help them myself🥹.

I had such a great time listening to this duet narration by Aiden Snow and Megan Wicks, both doing such a brilliant job with bringing Knox and Harper to life! They played a huge part in making me feel all those emotions while I was unraveling Knox's story. It was suspenseful, tense, raw, dangerous and sweet, making it a true rollercoaster of feelings. I feel a bit sad that this series is ending, but that last part of this story was quite interesting, making me think that maybe we will soon meet some another new and amazing characters, which are going to steal our hearts away 🤭.

Kathy MF Lockheart was not playing when she delivered the last and final book in the Sinners and Saints series. She literally said hold my beer while I deliver you the best ending to a series. Ugh the way this whole series has had me in a chokehold. It became my new hyper fixation and now that t's over, I'm staring at the wall questioning where I go from here... fyi, I'm going to binge Kathy's full back list. That's how much I love her writing and stories she delivers. Ok but enough of my love for this whole series, let's talk about Trust!

Miss ma'am, you really did the damn thing. You delivered us straight perfection! Throughout this whole series, Knox was just a figment of our imagination. The friend who was serving time in prison for second degree murder. The easter eggs from each book made me so freaking excited for this book and boy did it live up to every single expectation that I had and so much more! The prisoner x nurse dynamic is one that I love. It's forbidden. Our MMC is morally grey. There is always thick tension. And that's exactly what you got in this one. But I loved the element of Knox being a fierce protector. It's what got him his 25 year sentence. So naturally, it makes sense that our FMC is on the run from an abusive relationship. Knox protected her before he even knew her. And the man she shouldn't feel safe with becomes her only haven. Ugh I'm telling you, this book was so freaking good!

Kathy has this way of writing a book with a gripping storyline that will have you sucked in from page one. Her characters are perfect compliments for each other. The tension builds as you turn the page. There are elements of suspense that will keep you guessing when the inevitable plot twist will come. And Trust has all of these things.

Honestly, I could talk in depths about this whole entire series. It has me in a severe chokehold and now that the series is over, I truly don't know what to do with myself. I've become obsessed with this world. And Kathy ended this one perfectly with Knox and Harper. Trust was the perfect culmination of everything that was building within the series. And that plot twist?!?! I should have seen it coming!

I would like to touch base quickly on the audiobook. I consumed this whole series on audio, which if you listen to audiobooks, that's how I recommend you consume them because holy moly, it brings the story to life! The narrators for each book are PHENOMENAL! Trust is told is DUET NARRATION and performed by Aiden Snow and Megan Wicks. Aiden Snow has the perfect deep growly voice for a man covered in tattoos who is serving time in prison for murder. Like you can't convince me otherwise. He truly plays the role of a morally grey protector perfectly. And Megan?!?! I absolutely adore Megan. She always plays a vulnerable FMC well. The way she translate emotions through her narration always makes me shed a tear or two. And she truly brought Harper's broken and abused side to life in such a beautiful way.

Kathy, thank you for allowing me to come on this journey through audio but it was hands down one of my favorite series I have ever read!

Knox…oh I was waiting for this book in my ears and it did not disappoint! Knox is all green flags in my opinion. I mean this man is protective, hot, and who could resist him? Neither him nor Harper can get the other out of their head….so Knox may or may not find himself getting injured more just to go see her. This man softens his rough edges for her and I love how observant he is, always knowing how to make her feel more at ease.

The audio, performed in duet by Aiden Snow & Megan Wicks = absolute perfection!! These two will forever be some of my favorites to listen to and this audio was no different!

The guys’ group chat had me literally dying so many times. I love this series and found family so much! I’ll say it again, if you haven’t started this series, what are you waiting for?!

This is hands down my favourite in the Sinners and Saints series. Kathy Lockheart absolutely delivered, this book is intense, emotional, raw, and beautifully written.

Harper is on the run from her abusive ex, Silas, a manipulative, dangerous man who refuses to let her go. After growing up with alcoholic parents, she’s already fought hard to survive, and now she’s just trying to build a life where she finally feels safe.

Knox… wow. Serving a 25-year sentence for murder (14 years already served, with two denied paroles), he’s known as the most dangerous inmate, 6’4, covered in tattoos, and completely shut off from the world. The only thing grounding him is the hope of seeing his daughter again. He writes her letters… but never sends them.

When Knox overhears another inmate threatening to assault the new nurse, he completely loses control, and that moment changes everything.

That nurse is Harper.

What follows is a slow, powerful connection built in the most unlikely place. Knox notices her fear immediately, the bruise on her cheek, and quietly becomes her protector. He finds ways to be near her, eventually working in the infirmary just to see her every day.

Kathy Lockheart captured every emotion so vividly, you feel everything right alongside these characters.
I’ve been waiting for Knox’s story since meeting him in earlier books, and it was so worth it. She truly saved the best for last.

Loved every second. Every word. Every emotion.

Despite not reading the other books in this series I decided to give this one a shot and really liked it!! It definitely didn’t need to be over 500 pages and some scenes felt redundant but on the whole I think the story was great and I loved the nurse/doctor trope.

This book honestly surprised me in the best way.

The prison nurse and inmate dynamic brought so much tension right away, but Knox was really the heart of this book for me. Beneath all the possessive, morally gray energy, he was surprisingly soft and caring, especially when it came to Harper and his daughter. Some of his quieter moments genuinely hit me emotionally.

I really liked the mix of angst, suspense, and romance throughout the story. Knox and Harper had great chemistry, and watching Harper slowly let her guard down felt natural and satisfying. The protective “touch her and die” energy, the forced proximity, and all the twists kept me completely hooked. I just found myself wanting a little more emotional depth and a few more softer moments between them to make their connection feel even stronger.

Still, Knox’s character growth was easily my favorite part, and the ending left me feeling emotional in the best way. Even with a few things I wanted more of, this was still such an addictive read that kept me invested the entire time.

This book reminded me why I love messy, emotional romances so much.

Trust is the fifth and final book in the Sinners and Saints series but every installment can be read as a standalone. The MMC, Knox Blackwood, is by far the most unique character I’ve ever read as he is a convicted murderer trying to get a parole for the third time. Then there’s Harper Mitchell, the young and beautiful new nurse who works in the penitentiary where Knox is locked up.

Both of Knox’s and Harper’s childhood aren’t easy and it’s apparent that they just clicked when they first met. I love that instead of attributing the chemistry between them to love at first sight, Kathy actually shares the inner struggle of Harper’s perception of Knox as well as Knox’s sense of insecurity despite his 6’4” and 240-pound of tatted muscle.

The character development of Harper and Knox, the plot TWIST, and the well-deserved happy ending all made this book unputdownable. This entire series has been such an emotional rollercoaster for me but I’m shedding happy tears thanks to this perfect wrap-up!

P.S. If you haven't already, please do yourself a favor and pick up THE ENTIRE SINNERS and SAINTS SERIES!!! This is my first series by Kathy Lockheart and it certainly won't be the last. I LOVE every single installment in this series, which is a FIRST for me as I usually lose interest in series with more than 3-4 books so that's saying something, right?

3.5⭐️ this was my first book by this author and for the most part i enjoyed it. the writing style kept you engaged and wanting more, but it kind of felt like everything was happening so fast. at times there felt like there were too many layers to this book and at times some felt overshadowed. i do plan on going back to the first book and reading them all

Hmmm. This reads VERY AI. Not just the cadence and the sentence structure, but also the bizarre metaphors that make zero sense. The story itself was fine, the characters were fine and the development/ARC for the main male character was good, but I couldn’t get past the writing.

I never thought I would be sitting here gushing over a prison romance, but here we are! Trust was everything I wanted from the final book in this series and then some. I’ve been waiting for Knox’s story for what feels like forever, especially because we knew so little about him throughout the previous books. Finally getting the details behind his incarceration and understanding what made him the man he is was so satisfying. This is absolutely a series I recommend reading in order because the relationships, dynamics, and buildup make this final installment so much more rewarding.

Knox was such a complicated, fascinating character, and I loved getting to see all the different sides of him. He’s fiercely protective, intimidating, and carrying so much beneath the surface. Harper was equally fantastic, and my heart absolutely broke for everything she’d endured. I loved her strength and resilience, and watching these two find something special in the most unlikely circumstances was incredibly moving. Their forbidden romance had all the tension I expected, but it was the emotional depth that really got me. I was completely invested in both of them and desperate for their happiness.

The suspense was fantastic too! There was so much tension surrounding Knox’s situation, Harper’s past, and the possibility of a future together that I was hooked. And somehow, amid all the danger and emotional moments, the friends’ group chat managed to provide some much needed comic relief. I was genuinely cackling at some of their exchanges! I loved having those familiar characters involved in the story, and their friendship added another layer of warmth to an otherwise intense romance.

Now, can we talk about this audiobook?! Megan Wicks and Aiden Snow were absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been listening to Megan more and more lately, and wow, is she talented. This story required her to navigate so many different emotional beats, and she nailed every single one. You could feel the fear, vulnerability, strength, and hope in her performance. And Aiden Snow as Knox? PERFECTION. Nobody does that deep, growly, fiercely protective hero quite like he does. Knox is such a layered character, and Aiden captured every complicated part of him beautifully. Together, they made an already emotional story even more immersive.

Trust delivered everything I could have wanted from a series finale: an unforgettable couple, intense suspense, genuine emotion, humor, and the payoff of finally understanding a character I’d been curious about for so long. I’m so glad I experienced this one on audio because the narration elevated every single moment. What a fantastic way to close out the series!

I'm so sad to see the end of this series. I've been waiting for Knox's story since the beginning and it didn't disappoint.

Harper is fleeing Indiana and her abusive ex. She finds herself working as a nurse in the infirmary of Coldwater Penitentiary. On her first day she treats Knox, an inmate convicted of murder, following a fight he was involved in. Unknown to Harper, it was a fight to protect her from something terrible another inmate was planning. Knox is one parole hearing away from freedom, can Harper help him keep out of trouble so he can be reunited with his family once again.

Knox is a green flag murderer. He has my heart. There is so much more to his story than we realised from the previous books in this series. Here, we finally find out what happened which led him to serve 25 years for murder. As a mother, it was justified in my opinion. He's protective, but you don't want to get on the wrong side of him. He's kind and insightful. I enjoyed seeing him open up about the past and let Harper in.

Harper has been through it with her asshole ex. She just wants to start a new life and be free, however, when her ex finds her again she begins to retreat. Her story is heart breaking. She is such a strong character and I loved seeing her fight and stand up for herself when she needed to.

The chemistry was electric. The tension was on fire. The plot twists were twisting. It was an emotional rollercoaster.

The boy's group chat was one of the best. Had me laughing out loud many times.

This whole series was five stars and after the ending of Trust - I have only gone and found the story about Jace Lockwood's twin brother. Adding to TBR straight away!!

Trust is the 5th book in the Sinners and Saints series and the one I have been anticipating the most. We are finally getting Knox's romance and it did not disappoint. This delivers a beautiful forbidden romance between an inmate and the prison nurse.

Knox has been in prison for 14 years for murder. He has kept the reasons he committed the crime a secret from his friends and family. He has mostly given up on getting parole, till Harper walks into his life. Harper has moved states and taken a job as a nurse at the prison to get away from her abusive boyfriend. She ends up treating Knox after he got in a brutal fight to protect her from an inmate who was planning to assault her. Their chemistry is instant and he keeps getting injured to see her again.

Knox is determined to keep her safe from her ex, but he can't afford to put his possible parole in danger. I loved how this strong, tattooed prisoner had a tender heart. He has missed out on being in his daughter's life and my heart broke for him. Everything he does, even keeping his secrets, was to protect her.

This was a more emotional, forbidden romance. This is my favorite of the series so far.

Like the tension isn’t subtle. It’s very much:
eye contact → bad decisions → worse decisions → feelings → panic → repeat

The MMC? Dangerous in that quiet, controlled way where you know he’s holding back… until he’s not. He’s not loud about it, but the second he locks in, it’s over.

The vibe is very much:
“stay away from me”
immediately followed by
“actually don’t go anywhere”...Cause we live for the back and forth sometimes 🤷‍♀️

The FMC is doing her best to be logical....like she knows this is risky, messy, and probably going to ruin her life… and yet she keeps showing up anyway. Which, honestly, same 😂

I seriously cannot get enough of this series! Just when I think it can't possibly get any better, it does! I fall head over heels for every couple, and Knox and Harper were absolutely no exception.

I adored how fiercely protective Knox was, especially when it came to the people he loved. He's been through so much and hasn't had an easy life, which made seeing him receive the love, patience, and understanding he deserved from Harper was so special. These two truly needed each other in ways they didn't even realize, and watching them slowly heal the broken pieces of one another was everything. I loved every single step of their journey, from the emotional moments to the undeniable chemistry and everything in between.

Aiden Snow and Megan Wicks absolutely knocked this one out of the park! They brought every ounce of tension, longing, heartbreak, passion, and love to life.

I'm completely obsessed with this series, and I cannot recommend it enough. Seriously, the entire series is an absolute must listen!

Absolutely phenomenal- from start to finish! Once I started reading, I could not put this book down. Knox has taken the title of my favorite despite my love for Ryker. The redemption story mixed in with the pure, raw emotion in this book wrecked me in the best way possible.

Knox may come off as a brute but dear lord, this man loves with all his heart. He’s honestly the biggest teddy bear underneath the tough guy bravado he has to put on. The emotions packed behind the reason why he’s in prison and his strained relationship with his daughter broke my heart in two. I was ugly crying, laughing, and swooning throughout the entire book. Watching him wanting to become a better man for not only Harper but his family as well was packed full of raw, intense emotions. I feel for Harper because I fell in love with this man with my entire heart.

Harper is so down to earth and full of love even those she’s running from her past. She’s swept her off her feet with Knox’s protective, possessive nature. These two had chemistry that was undeniable. Harper becomes an anchor and a safe space for Knox when he needs it most. There was nothing but pure, genuine love between these two.

I believe that's the end of the series. From Blake to Jace, then to Axel and Ryker and finally we have the infamous Knox. All in all, as a whole series, it's a solid 3 stars for me. There was a very good one and a very bad one in the series. And this on fell right in the middle.

There were some dragging parts and there were too quick parts (especially scenes where their relationship moved too quickly). I find it hard to believe that they fell that quickly over each other. I kinda wanted more during the progression of their acquaintance. Maybe a bit more painful pining. Just a little bit more umph.

Overall, it was okay. I did enjoy Blake and Jace stories more. The latter three are a bit underwhelming, in my opinion.

I have been craving a prison romance and this one did not disappoint!! Harper gets a job as a nurse at the prison where Knox is serving time for murder. Up for parole soon, Knox struggles with the knowledge his daughter has grown up without a father. Knox becomes very protective of Harper after seeing scars on her body from her abusive ex. And then that abusive ex tracks her down and gets a job at that very prison.
Aiden Snow & Megan Wicks narrate and do such a phenomenal job of bringing the story to life with such an intensity. If you like your romance a little dark and a lot forbidden you need to pick this one up!

Open door, so there was a lot of skimming on my part & deeply problematic to read a prison/ nurse romance given my husband’s profession 😅 but it was an easy read and was feel good at the end.
