I voluntarily reviewed "THE OFF LIMITS PROTECTOR" I thoroughly enjoyed this interesting, entertaining, humor, twists, steam, secrets, an intriguing journey keeping you reading. Harper & Lila go to a club she says one night of fun telling her she needs to get out of Library & into a little trouble. Harper starts to panic & heads for the VIP zone looking for Lila she trips ready to hit the floor whoa a deep voice says catching her, low smooth like danger wrapped in velvet, I've got you Blake says, sorry you ok Blake asks, yes I only think I broke my dignity. Your not on the list for VIP room, are you lost, I was headed to the bar are you alone Blake asks I was with my friend Lila she went to DJ booth, he laughs I guess this isn't your usual scene, did the cardigan give it away, he smiles more, you stand out, in a bad way Harper asks, in a way its impossible to look elsewhere. Blake walks her to the Bar its like the Sea parts for him like he's a Nightclub Moses do you work here I'm Harper she says you sure you want to give me your name, why not mystery man, you plan on vanising in puff of smoke, maybe. Blake takes Harper to Bar order what you want its on me & he turns to leave into the crowd & her mystery man is gone. Harper thinks she can be this girl you read about bold, confidant, Blake made her feel strong, he spots her again his eyes lock on hers, like he's peeling away layers, the kind that says I remember you, he invites her come forward. Harper says you always bring strays up here, only the interesting ones, so why am here, maybe I got lost in wrong club, you don't seem lost. Blake & Harper head to the rooftop lounge, Blake knows she doesn't belong there not in a bad way, in a way that make her shine, she so different from everyone downstairs. Harper so isn't Blake's type he likes women who know the game, fast, sharp, with no illusions. Blake is taken with everything about Harper his strange little sparkling storm is not just getting under his skin she's rearranging it. Harper's info has him questioning things, ok Sunshine your the strangest person I've ever met in a long time, Sunshine is that what your going to call me, it fits, you should laugh more Blake it suits you. Blake feels its shouldn't be that easy with Harper, the lightness, the pull, he's done it before & it nearly broke him. Harper doesn't want anyhing from Blake making her the most dangerous kind of distraction, since he left the Navy & opened his Club, no surprises, no attachments. Blake & Harper spend the night together she wakes still in her dress thank god she thinks this isn't who she is, she doesn't sleep in strangers beds, this was a mistake, wildly out of character mistake, she leaves Blake a note, & leaves. Harper gets a message from her Dad trouble brewing be ready, just like him she doesn't reply at home she thinks about her night with Blake. Blake wakes to no Harper & her note, there a few twists you want to know about especially with her father, Blake, & his Club will they find one another again to get a HEA absolutely a must read you don't want to miss to find out whats going on.
I think this storyline and book have a lot of potential. I was confused there for a few moments but overall the book was a great read. I loved the immediate nonsexual meeting of two people who were carrying alot of their shoulders. Who decided that life's challenged and f*ucked up happenings were better off dealt with together than alone. Also, loved the spice. Could never forget the spice.
I loved reading this book! This book is definitely a page turner. The relationship between Blake & Harper is an amazing one. I could feel their love & connection from the start. I just wish there was more to the book so we could get more background into the characters previous lives before they met.
