Personal response: I read the book ¨Green Bay Packers¨ by Mark Stewert. I liked this book because it talked about the history and the traditions of the Packers. Overall, I enjoied this book.
Plot: The main part of this book is talking about the packers road to success. In the beginning, it talked about how the Packers got their name. Someone from a packing company, put $500 into the franchise for equipment and supplies. After that, the Packers were off, they started going around and playing games... but not winning. They had a few bad years, but the then the great Vince Lombardi came and coached them. After that the started winning the conference every year. Then the Super Bowl was invented, the Packers went to the first two and won! A few years passed and the Packers really were not that good. Even tough they had good players, they didn´t have to chemistry that they needed. Holmgren came and they won a Super Bowl, but then Holmgren left and MCcarthy came. He coached the Packers to a Super Bowl and have been in the playoff almost every year!
Characterization: There really wasn´t any specific characters, but I´m going to do Aaron Rodgers. Aaron came out of California and sat the bench behind Farve for a few years. Then when Farve left, Rodgers exploded. He won MVP 2 times and took the Pack to playoff after playoff. I think the reason he is so good is because he was able to watch Farve play and practice.
Recommendation: I suggest this book be read by anyone who likes the Packers. It´s an easy book to read and understand. Children ages 8-15 could like like this book if they like the Packers.
""Green Bay Packers"" is a great book if you like books about football. The author did a great job of telling me about the Packers timeline. The Packers have both a interesting story and a boring story because in their early time, they won quite a bit, so it was kind of predictable. It was more interesting when they lost because they seemed to never lose. The book got fun to read when the author started talking about the present because then I actually knew what he was talking about.I think the present team can relate to the past because both the present and past teams are great teams, in fact, they both have won Super Bowls.I was attracted to this because I love football and I favor the packers.
I like the Green Bay Packers book by Mark Stewart because, they tell really good information about them. I like all sports books from baseball, basketball and football. Soccer books are not my genre. The Green Bay Packers are my favorite football team. I can compare Arron Rogers to me and my little brother, Bradley. Arron Rogers is kind, helps poor, good sport if he looses or wins and he always shakes the coaches hand. My little brother and I, never throw fits after we loose in any kind of sport, we always give good compliments not bad or rude ones, We also give to charity like Good Will, and Salvation Army, and we always shake the coaches hand in every sport. Did you know that Green Bay has the most fans. Do you know why they are called the Green Bay Packers. They are called the Packers because they are known for packing meat and selling it. Do you know why the fans were cheese hats on there head. They were that because when Green Bay had started there football team, there was a man that really wanted to see them play, so he was looking around the house and then he saw his couch pillow and ripped the the pillow out of the case and he started cutting so it looked like cheese, then he went into his garage and looked for a can of yellow paint and a bowl. Then he pored the yellow paint into a bowl and put the couch pillow that looked like a cheese into the yellow paint. The next day he walked around with it on and people started asking were do you get that and can I buy one. Then he sold enough so he could go to the football game and that's how that happened. I would recommend this book to people who like sports.
