Getting to the end of this read is pure agony in the best of ways. It is possibly the absolute WORST cliff hanger I have ever had and I am DYING to read the next book.

This series is epic. The pacing is about as close to perfect as you can get—there are brief moments to breathe, but it’s mostly a nonstop ride of intense battles, steady progression, and meaningful upgrades. It hits everything I love about cultivation and LitRPG and somehow blends them seamlessly into one story.

What really sets it apart, though, is that it’s not shallow at all. The characters feel grounded, with real emotional depth, and you actually understand their motivations. The stakes feel real because the people do.

My favorite aspect of the series is the use of clones exploring new worlds. It keeps everything constantly fresh—there’s always a new setting, new mechanics, and new powers to discover. It never gets repetitive, which is rare for a progression-heavy series.

Honestly, this is about as close to a perfect series as I’ve found.

I'm deeply conflicted about this book.
I love the astral projection mechanic and following Percy as he makes discoveries and innovations to get stronger.

However, the whole book just feels dirty. Every discovery and advancement he makes essentially has a horde of people staring over his shoulder and stealing everything that they can take from him the entire time.

I loved the underdog against the world setup in the first few books, but knowing that the gods are aware of everything he's doing and can just steal anything he learns for themselves creates a sleazy feeling undertone that sours everything he goes through.

I still like his journey and following all of his experiences, but the complete inability to keep anything he's doing private or hidden drags the book down. Hell, even his dang status window can be snooped at!

I was not expecting that!!! Just Wow!!!

Wow!!! Just Wow! No words can contain the ocean of WOW that I feel right now after finishing Legend of the Third Hero. With that said this amazing story however takes a bit of a backseat. As Percy, Micky, Nesha and, Elaine all focuse on training. Each doing their own thing, working on all their special abilities. And with Percy's elixer Arora Dew, they're all able to advance their core by a grade. Don't get me wrong though there's still bouts of extreme fighting. And plenty of off world excursions too. But still there's that ending. I was not expecting that 😳 I'd be soooooooo WOW'd by the ending!
So yeah grab the book 'cause book Lord of the Fungal Spire well be released in a couple of weeks...

A good continuation of the series. Pretty much things progress as you would expect. He uses his clones to get more powerful by bringing back techniques from across the universe. Percy is on the run and the entire planet is after him. This turns out the be a mixed blessing for him. On one hand he is on the run and can't stay anywhere too long. On the other hand, this is the exact whetstone he needs to integrate his new knowledge and push his fighting arts to the next level.

The scrappy guy starting from dead last aspiring to godhood continues. Can make it? Will he take a vacation?

Fighting up the ranks become more and more ridiculous, enchantments, alchemy, energy to matter conversion, spatial folds hiding secret treasures, gods making universes inside their cores. Is there a step above titan?

Could Percy be a clone of a god with a soul cloning ability, or maybe he’s the reincarnation of a god who sowed so much chaos. Or maybe he’s the son of that vengeance-driven missing god.

Как-то стало намного меньше держать в напряжении. Магическую механику приходится терпеть или перематывать т.к. уже давно потерялся во всех ее нюансах, на оно и не очень интересно. Интересны были персонажи и приключения в других мирах. И автору хорошо бы сбавить обороты с "by the skin of his teeth". Я не считал, но такое чувство, что эта фраза обязательно есть в каждой главе минимум один раз.
