I liked this series as it slowly unveils a mystery years in the making. It follows three characters as things start to unfold and they slowly try to figure out what is going on. And why people are determined to kill for it. Drew me in and kept me guessing what it could be. Liked the mystery and scifi feel that unfolded. Interesting characters that sometimes I wanted to slap but they did feel real with their issues like normal people as things unfold. As the story progresses, and things heat up and get even better...or crazier. Things are not what they seem. Kept me guessing and reading to the end to see all the twists and surprises along the way. Aliens and tokens are an issue and how it will all play out was a great read. Enjoyed the story and characters and what they faced in each book that kept me guessing. It was a fun and wild ride. Lots of surprises, twists and turns and me guessing what would happen next. I laughed and gasped and enjoyed the story and characters.
I loved this series. It's not your usual science fiction. Quite unique and very entertaining.
I read the three books in the series as they were released, but a box set is nice as it doesn't make you wait to find out what happens. There were some cliff hangers.
Lots of interesting and believable characters that are fully developed.
I would call it a page turning cross between mystery and sci-fi thriller. It's all earth based and attempts to solve what happened on a seventies moon mission.
I tried to read this series sometime ago and could not get all the way through it. I understand about suspension of disbelief when reading a story and because we are talking science fiction after all. But the string of small world coincidences became overwhelming and I could not appreciate the nuances I suppose. I have read other books by this author and giving it five stars always. I'm glad I finished this but really this is a tough one for me.
This series was fun and a well built science fiction story, I am 79yrs young and have read literally thousands of sci-fi, space opera, fantasy and a few other type of writing. this is In the top 75%. Well done
The storyline started out strong but a lot of repetitive dialogue and talk took away what could have been a better read. It’s worth reading but it’s ending and continuing back and forth took away a great read.
More plot twists than a snarled fishing reel. Keeps you guessing all the way to the end. And speaking of "the end", .... Well, that's another twist, isn't it?
