Vixen Aflame is Book 2 in the Vixen trilogy, and I was so excited to finally read it after the cliffhanger at the end of Book 1. This story picks up immediately where the first book left off, following Denise as she navigates balancing work, family, and her fun, exciting (and very spicy) relationship with her boss.
I loved diving deeper into Denise as a mother in this installment and seeing how she manages her relationship with her children while her connection with John continues to grow. John remains supportive, accepting, and genuinely invested — which made their relationship even more enjoyable to read.
This book does such a great job exploring mature love, sexual self-discovery, and desire. Denise is fully owning her body, her wants, and her confidence, unapologetically stepping into what she desires both in life and in the bedroom. Her journey with John is explored through consensual BDSM and a Dom/sub dynamic that feels respectful, intentional, and empowering.
Denise is a woman in her 40s tackling life head-on, taking what she wants — whether that’s in her career or her pleasure — and I absolutely loved that for her. I can’t wait to read the final book and see how this trilogy concludes.

This second part of the spicy midlife romance continues the story in a very satisfying way. The female main character has a lot on her plate—balancing motherhood, the pressures of her workplace, and the intense stress of preparing for a major fashion show.
One of the things I appreciated most is how the male main character supports her. Instead of demanding her attention or adding to her stress, he quietly stands by her and offers support when she needs it. Their dynamic feels refreshingly mature, which fits perfectly with a midlife romance.
Alongside the romance, there’s also tension in the workplace, including rivalry that eventually escalates into sabotage. This adds another layer of drama and keeps the story engaging beyond the relationship itself.

What a great series - Denise works for John and is also his sub (very new and just discovering). The book starts with a "daydream" which ends with her kids yelling for her. So "real world" I love it. John puts Denise in charge of a business he bought. His board is against him buying it and putting Denise in charge. OMG what a great story with so much hot! I love the characters - but hate Vanessa (like we're supposed to!) John texts Denise with some hot things he wants her to do! I just LOVE everything about this series. Can't wait for book 3 - but I have a feeling I won't want the series to end! 5 stars and a ton of thumbs up!

The story of John & Denise continues. Denise is trying to juggle kids, home life responsibilities, work project, and her secret relationship with her boss. As she develops a marketing plan for the product, her confidence grows, and she empowers her team to grow with her. Of course, we have to have the jealous employee, Vanessa, that can't move up because she is inadequate, so she tries to sabotage Denise and her team. We Denise flourish or will the jealous Vanessa and the company's board members discredit her?

Vixen Aflame by Jordyn Haart is the second book in the series. It is short and riveting. Denise focuses on her marketing campaign for the new lingerie. John and she continue developing their sensuous relationship. This book brings into sharp relief how sensuous women in the prime (40-50) are when allowed the freedom to indulge in their sexuality. despite work pressures and family life. As short as this is, it is well written and so enjoyable. Strong women prevail. Great series.

Love that it picked up right where book 1 finished with Denise getting back to reality from sex packed week with John. I don’t mind reading BDSM but I’m not a submissive myself so sometimes I want to scream at her but I know she’s playing the role. I can’t wait for book 3 to see what happens. You need to read the first book in this series to have a proper understanding of the characters and the plotline. This plot flows forward well and the dynamic of a mature relationship is dealt with in a way to keep the intensity from book 1.
As a continuation it lacks some the interest from the first book but it still thoroughly enjoyable.

Omg! This was hot! This was book 2 in the series. John and Denise are fire! She's trying to juggle her kids, her full time job that she's trying to excel at and get the new position, and her relatively new, interesting relationship with John. I can't wait for book 3 to find out what happens in Paris!

Totally recommend this five star story. Detailed, lots of exciting twists, likable characters. Storyline pulled me in in the first chapter, and never let me go. Author did a great job with intricate details in the storyline. Just the right amount of drama, secrets, suspense. This is a must read book.

I really enjoyed this series, as our characters work together to build a new company and product line while rekindling their personal relationship. This spicy series gives us plenty of action and wonderfully satisfying romantic interactions.

So sexy and spicy. Proving women in their Middle Ages can still have fun and be adventurous. John and Denise are so hot together. Pushing their boundaries and enjoying their time while continuing to run with the lingerie line. This was a hot and titillating read.
