Kaylee, the town librarian, and Jason, the author hired to write about the town, have a history , they used to date, and let's just say it was a real page-turner. Jason has a way to calm Kaylee's anxiety, which is great because her mom is about to stir up some drama. When Kaylee's mother finds out Jason is around Kaylee, she wants to visit, because what's a little romance without some meddling? Will her mother get in the way of Kaylee's chance with Jason? You'll have to read the book to find out.

ARC Review. Thanks to BookSirens for a copy of Perfectly Yours, book two in the Love is in the Building series. My opinions are always my own, so take them with a grain of salt, but compared to the first book, I felt a bit let down. I know these are short stories, but where author was able to make book one not feel like total “instalove” (even if it is), book two was instalove from the jump. Yes, this was a second chance romance for Kaylee and Jason, I just missed the buildup, even if small, to make me care more for these characters. We did get the 4 girls together so that was fun. I like the dynamic of their foursome. Still excited for the next two ladies books, and hopefully find out more about our matchmaker in this small town.

Short (about 100-ish pages) second chance romance between librarian Kaylee and writer Jason who rekindle their ill-fated romance from several years prior after being made to work together in the small PNW town of Hemlock Point.
As they reacquaint themselves with each other, they find that their previous relationship was sabotaged by two people who should’ve wanted better for them.
Will Jason’s desire to see the world run afoul (again) of Kaylee’s desire to live simply in a small town where everyone knows her name?
This was a pleasant read, no third act breakup (yay), and Kaylee dealt well with her anxiety disorder/panic attacks, especially with Jason’s support and that of her friends.

Perfectly Yours was an unexpected short and sweet, small-town delight. To be honest, when I picked up this ARC, I didn’t know it was only 100 pages. It’s the perfect book for those that want to read more and just don’t have the time. Short and a little spicy with a collection of fun characters.
I have not read book one in this series but enjoyed Perfectly Yours enough to read Perfectly Fake as well.
I loved the premise of this book. A small-town apartment building whose owner loves creating love matches. In this book, it’s Kaylee’s turn to find love. It’s a huge shock when her ex, the love of her life, arrives in town to write a book. Jason has also been pining for Kaylee for the four years he was traveling. What a surprise when he finds out she lives in this sweet small town as well.
Short stories are tough because you want to spend more time with the characters. At the same time, they get right to it and fly towards their HEA. Low drama, low angst, and all the warm fuzzies. 🥰

This was a sweet and enjoyable read that I flew through in one sitting. I liked the small-town setting and the second-chance romance, and it was fun watching the characters reconnect. That said, I had mixed feelings because they had been apart for such a long time, yet everything seemed to fall back into place very quickly. I also found myself wishing there was a little more to the story and that some moments had been explored in greater depth. Even so, it was a cute romance, and I think fans of small-town and second-chance love stories will enjoy it.

I received a digital ARC of this novella. This is book 2 in the series and will contain spoilers for book 1 if read out of order. Kaylee is the librarian in this cute Washington small town. Her building manager is a quirky matchmaker and proud of it. What Kaylee doesn’t expect is her ex, and only true love, to move into the apartment downstairs. He’s the one who got away, but does she want him back? The only downside to this story is that it’s a novella and not a full length book. Sarah still pulls you into the story and keeps you turning the pages. I’m always excited to see her ARCs become available on Booksirens. I’m already looking forward to the third story in this series.

I was lucky enough to receive a free ARC of Perfectly Yours in exchange for an honest review, and I read the eBook edition.
Going into this book, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm generally not a big fan of second-chance romances because they almost always rely on miscommunication. Personally, I find it hard to believe that if two people are truly meant to be together, one misunderstanding or lack of communication can keep them apart for years. That's one of my least favorite romance tropes.
That said, Perfectly Yours pleasantly surprised me.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is a short story of around 100 pages. Most romance novels are between 300 and 400 pages, so a second-chance romance has much less time to rebuild the relationship and convince readers of the characters' renewed connection. Because of that, I wasn't expecting a deep, slow-burn romance—and thankfully, the book didn't try to be one. Let's be honest: a true slow burn is almost impossible to pull off in only 100 pages.
What I appreciated most was that the story didn't lean heavily on frustrating miscommunication. Instead, it focused on giving readers a sweet, enjoyable romance without unnecessary drama. It was an easy, relaxing read that didn't ask too much emotionally but still left me feeling satisfied.
For me, this is the kind of book you pick up between heavier or longer reads. It's the perfect palate cleanser when you're in the mood to read but don't want to commit to an emotionally intense or time-consuming novel. It's light, comforting, and exactly the kind of story that helps you ease back into reading.

It was so sweet to watch him reconnect with Kaylee and realise that the missing piece he’d been searching for across the world was actually right in front of him. With their history the chemistry is instant.
The town residents are really close and supportive of each other and it just highlighted the small town vibes in the book.
Even though the book is a novella we find out a lot about their previous relationship and why they both wanted to leave their home town, although neither wanted to leave the other.

Perfectly Yours is a sweet second-chance romance with a cozy small-town feel. Kaylee and Jason have a believable history, and I liked that their relationship wasn’t instantly fixed just because they had feelings for each other. Watching them rebuild their trust and reconnect as adults felt natural.
Kaylee was a great character, especially in the way her anxiety and journey toward setting boundaries were handled. Jason was also a strong love interest, supportive without trying to change her. The small-town atmosphere, friendships, and quirky side characters added a lot of charm.
My only issue was that some parts felt predictable if you’ve read a lot of second-chance romances, and the middle slowed down a little with some of the backstory.
Overall, this was a warm and enjoyable romance with great chemistry.

This was a nice read! Quick and cute with no third-act drama and straight to the point. The only downside for me personally was that I wished there was more story, more character development, and growth that we could have followed along, and also get a bit deeper insight into the characters back in the day to really understand their connection and equation. Things just felt a bit too rushed at the present that it felt a tad bit unbelievable, but I guess given their second chance came just 4 years after their fallout, I can kind of ignore that slight issue.

Perfectly Yours is a charming, easy-to-read romantic novella that follows the rekindled romance between Jason, an author, and Kaylee, the town librarian. It's a heartwarming, fast-paced story that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.
My only criticism is that I would have loved it to be longer, as more time with the characters would have allowed for a deeper emotional connection and further development of their relationship. Despite its shorter length, it was a delightful and satisfying read.

When the man who left her behind comes to town, Kaylee has a decision to make.
It’s sweet, with mutual pining. Not a fan of the she sayed celibate while he slept with others aspect… especially considering he ‘always loved her’, but you can’t get everything you want.
A bit of a weak to strong aspect for the MFC, too, which was nice to see.

This is book 2 in Neeson's Love is in the Building series. A great addition to the series and can be read as a standalone but will have spoilers if not read in series order. A second chance romance with our main characters librarian Kaylee and writer Jason. I love the small town setting and overall HEA. The read is a shorter one so it could have used with a bit more storyline and character development but overall, a sweet romance read.

This was quick read recommended by another author who writes in Hemlock Point. I really enjoyed the small town second chance romance. It is quick read, but it was entertaining and I enjoyed the side character that help facilitate the reunion. I love Jason and Mayer's story. Theirs is the epitome of true love. This entire series is great! It's lighthearted, refreshing, and signifies all that is good in this world. To live in such a close knit community and have dyed in the wool true friends is amazing. Thank you to Sarah Nelson and Book Sirens for sharing an arc with me. I enjoyed the first book so much that I purchased the entire series.

Enjoyed this story and felt the small town vibe of Hemlock Point and its quaintness. The characters seemed realistic and was especially fond of Jason and Kaylee your main characters and also enjoyed young Oliver and Danny along with the three close friends of Kaylee, Rachel, Bridget and Holly.

This was a cute little second chance romance for Kaylee and Jason and I loved every second of it. A little spice, no angst and fast paced. The characters are fun, Danny is my favorite little matchmaker (I'm so glad it's a shared world so I got back to back Danny moments!) and I can't wait for the next book!

I am loving this series so much. There are a couple authors rotating the stories, but they are short, sweet, spicy and draw you in immediately. This one is no different. It is so well written and you get the full picture of where these two were and are. The spice flows into the story naturally and is fire. Took me about an hour and a half to read this one, maybe less, but it didn’t feel rushed and was complete. Can’t wait to see what is in store for some of the other residents! 5/5⭐️ 3/5🌶️

This story made me happy. Jason and Kaylee both get a second chance at love, even if the at second chance is with each other after being separated for 4 years. Lies and deceit kept them apart, but love will always find a way to connect those meant to be together.

Kaylee and Jason´s story reminded me that patterns are important to put structure into our lives but we also need flexibility to keep us from making the same mistakes again and again and making the right decision surely isn´t easy most of the time.

This was a great second chance romance. A sweet and spicy romance with Kaylee and Jason. I loved the way these two were able to reignite that spark they had all those heats ago. A really great novella
