It's a new year. And Juliet - young, smart, and sassy - has got herself a fresh start in a new flat. But there's a problem: amidst the boxes, a strange guy is also moving in - and he won't leave. He says the agency has messed up and her flat is actually his flat. As if that's not enough, the real problem is that, well, he's rather gorgeous... This chic comedy is a modern metropolitan guide to falling in (and out of) love.
Me l'he llegit mentre el tint pujava. I és la vegada que més he gaudit d'aquesta estona. Una obra de teatre dolça, divertida, tendra...ho té tot! Que bé haver-la trobat.
Initially this romcom style play felt insubstantial. There was witty dialogue, more or less believable characters, a maybe too cute setup. Nothing really wrong with that but where was the heft? Of course that was the craft in action.
The second half of the play built nicely into a deeper more moving piece than I might have expected, without becoming leaden or losing its wit. The deftly laid down markers at the beginning all carried more inside them than I had thought them capable of, allowing for a satisfyingly open ending.
