Best for Last! Owen & North!🥹

Omgosh! I loved Owen & North!! And it all began with Owen's roommate texting a girl he met on Owen's phone, and Owen trying to make it right!

What I loved: Smaller age-gap. Owen just finishing college and will be entering Vet School, North working/owning a construction company with his bestie. They talked and texted so much, they knew each other.

More than 6 months of texting back and forth between the two, until North realizes that Owen actually lives in his city!

Dislikes: Too short! Unanswered questions, like did Owen become a veterinarian? Did they get married? How's Stumpy, and did they change her name? What about Owen's roommates? His parents? Uggghhhhh! At least another 30+ pages would have made me so happy!

All in all...🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 😁

If I don't look at this realistically I LOVE IT. Let's be real, I do prefer my romances to be OTT but then my brain catches up with me and ruins some of the haze.

I LOVED the texting.
The caretaking from afar.
And aeverything that happened when they met up.

I didn't like that North went to the club thinking about having sex with someone else because he didn't think he had a shot with Owen. I'm glad his head wasnt in it and he was about to switch his bracelet to show he wasn't looking for sex before Owen texted him. ( super cute that he had his notifications turned off except for certain situations and Owen was one of those). I just found it to be a bit out of character considering he's supposed to be the ' Daddy' he should've talked to Owen about his feelings instead of assuming he didn't have a chance even if Owen did tell him he was straight, he was responsive to all the baby names so that should've been a clue and North does mention that they should've just communicated, it was actually handled really well when he felt guilty about talking about what he went to the club for initially and it a really sweet wake up call when North decided he'd rather just have Owen even if it meant no sex. 🥰

But my realistic brain was cringing at the big age gap, I much prefer if both characters are at a more mature age instead of one of them being 21 and the other in his 30s ya'know? 🤔
But overall, if i ignore the age thing and just just focus on all the fluff and tender names then I loved it so much. 🥺

Chara Writes the BEST Daddy Stories!

And this one is no exception! Honestly, this book is my favorite in the series. The premise is simply so sweet without going overboard; it develops organically, and the characters have excellent chemistry from the get-go (despite Owen being "straight").

Chara's books are always great in general, but this one really nails down exactly what makes the difference between someone claiming to be a Daddy Dom and someone who actually is one.

Oh, and the spice comes late in the story due to the bulk of the relationship being conducted via text, but when it arrives, it's delicious!

10/10

100% recommend if you are into this particular trope.

2-2.5 - I am so ambivalent about this series

thoughts n feelings:
-I will never stop yelling about how much I hate when real actual humans are used for book covers if you're showing their whole face. I can work with some dude's random torso even if I don't love that either, but I don't want you to cast my characters for me bc it just freaks me out. the whole time I read this I was hyperfocused on the cover model's face instead of the story
-okay these two were cute together or whatever and I love the accidentally-texted-a-hot-guy's-number trope, I think it's silly and fun, but I didn't really love either of them so it was hard to connect with them rly
-idk ultimately it was just not very memorable

Cute story

This is such a cute adorable story. These two are perfect for each other. I love how these two get to know each other without meeting first and just being there for one another.

I ate this up. Literally half the book was done before I could put it down.

Normally Daddy/boy books aren't my go to but something about this one worked for me.

The texting. The caretaking from afar. The rules. Perfection.

Then they met and it all just clicked from there.

Really, it's maybe 4.5 because I wanted a little more closure at the end, but that's the only issue I have.

Another sweet story. I loved Owen so much and North was the best daddy in the world. And I loved how Stumpy was rescued and you knew they would be a family from now on.
