4 stars. I loved Klao. Si was a headache but Klao was so down bad over her and I thought their romance was cute. They couldn’t be more different if they tried but it worked. I loved them together. This was such a light and fluffy good time. No big drama, no angst, just a spoiled city girl falling for her country wife. So adorable.
I know LMSY will be great in this and it will work as a series where you have the visual medium for the comedy, but as a book it really doesn't work for me.
And that jealousy towards the end was it felt like a plot point that the author had to add at the end to have some conflict, but it's not cute at all because it's not well balanced at all.
Very enjoyable read, especially on the heels of just finishing the tv series. The tv series do have differences from the book. There's more comedy in the tv series. But the core of the story is still the same.
A novel about a spoiled rich girl and a patient farmer girl
Meh, to be honest, this novel didn't really stick out to me nor ick me. It was a short read so there was not much of an impact... Si (the main character) has a very obvious character role which is a girl who has always gotten what she wanted and her parents just realized that "oh crap, we should teach this grown adult now that she has to stop being spoiled" and it obviously doesn't work. Klao (the female lead) meets her parents because of a contract they have and Klao becomes interested in Si and is like "I bet I can change your daughter better than you" and they just accept it because they think Si is beyond the point of saving. Si and Klao become acquainted and they soon get closer and closer. I'm not say anything more but this novel was decent and I'd say give it a try if you want something light-hearted to read.
5 stars. I really loved this book!! It was so sweet and funny and exactly what I wanted. I initially started reading this because of the LMSY series but quickly grew to love to it as its own thing. I have so many highlights of things I want to see happen and I can't wait to see what ends up on screen. I will say some scenes and characters felt unnecessary but I think overall the book was well done. I liked too that the last 30% showed their married life. It's often a complaint of mine that romance books will end once a couple gets together and we see little to none of their lives together. I think it really worked in the book to not only show Si's growth but also how she still stays true to who she is albeit just an improved version. I can't wait to read the follow up!!
4/5⭐️🌶️ Came here to read the novel as soon as the company announced that LMSY were the main couple to play Klao and Si. I’ve been crackling since the first chapters. My fav character? Definitely the chicken 🐓<3 Loved Si’s character development so far. She got better in so many things but she still needs to work on her jealousy…girl communicate more‼️ The missing ⭐️ is because i hate empty characters who appear out of nowhere just to cause trouble at the end. The engineer thing was not necessary, i think they’ve endured a lot only with the neighbour...
Can’t wait for the series😌🔥

The story had a lot of potential and I can see why it was chosen to become a TV show. However, the book was not well thought out: the pace was rushed and the characters needed to be more fleshed out. Thank God, the TV show is giving more depth to the story because it deserves it. It was ok to read, overall, but the writer really needs to develop her writing skills.
Si is such an unpleasant character in the novel. How did she end up being the biggest cutie patootie sulking, crying squishy-plush toy in the series?
As an international reader, the text feels dry to me, but I think a lot of context is lost in the translation from Thai to Eng. If I hadn't watched the series first, I barely could have read the novel
I think this will make an excellent romcom show. I was not a fan of the whole jealousy issue and the fact that the resolution was to never speak to the neighbor again though.
