A single-dad ex-SEAL. A Hollywood starlet he didn’t sign up for. And a one-night stand that changes everything… Ava
There are men I know to avoid.
Harrison Evans? He’s the poster boy for them.
Gruff. Unapologetically male. The kind of gorgeous that comes wrapped in barbed wire and a warning label. He’s got danger carved into his bones and grief etched into his soul. And me? I have my own heart to mend.
So, of course, I let him ruin me for one reckless, desperate night.
One night that should have been enough.
But fate is a fickle bitch, because now, he’s everywhere. The coffee shop. The grocery store. The hallway outside the penthouse the studio put me up in… that just happens to be in his building.
Coincidence? I think not.
Avoiding him? Impossible.
The single dad of three heartbreakingly beautiful kids. A man who believes in love and second chances as much as he believes in fairytales and unicorns.
But fate has a way of shoving us together. And no matter how hard I try to stay away, no matter how many times I push him away—Harrison Evans is determined to be in my life…
Harrison One night. That’s all it was supposed to be.
But now, she’s my problem. A favor to a man I owe my life to. Protect Ava. Without her knowing.
Fine. I can do that. But there are rules:
One—No getting attached. I’ve got three kids, a houseful of chaos, and exactly zero bandwidth for distractions. Especially not ones with hypnotic green eyes and a habit of biting her lip like she wants trouble.
Two—Maintain professional distance. No exceptions. And for the love of God, stop staring at her lips.
Three—Absolutely no repeating the best night of my damn life. It’s called a one-night stand for a reason. The clue is in the name.
But between Ava’s stalker, my kids plotting her permanent adoption, and this growing, possessive ache in my chest every time she looks at me like I’m the only man on the planet—sticking to the rules is taking every last ounce of willpower.
I’ve survived war. I’ve survived heartbreak.
But Ava Alvarez?
If I don’t keep every last one of my feelings zip-tied and gagged in the trunk, this woman has the capacity to destroy me.

Lexxi finally gave Harrison his happy ever after — and wow, was it hot.
Harrison might just be the sexiest man on Bishop Mountain… and that’s saying something because every man in this series is downright delicious. If you had told me I’d fall hard for a widowed, grieving father of three, I would’ve laughed and run for the hills — no matter how lickable he was. But here I am, completely in love with this totally alpha ex-SEAL.
And his kids? Absolutely adorable. Princess Snook owns my heart.
Ava Alvarez — Hollywood starlet and Gabe’s sister — is the perfect match for Harrison. She’s strong, smart, sassy, and has a huge heart… even if the idea of a single dad with three nonstop kids terrifies her. Add in a stalker who knows her every move, and the tension stays high from beginning to end.
The chemistry between Ava and Harrison is sizzling, but what really makes this story shine is the emotional depth and humor — a true Lexxi James trademark. You get steam, angst, laughter, and that strong bond of family and friendship that makes The Boys of Bishop Mountain one of my favorite series ever.
Every time I visit this world, I don’t want to leave. The characters just keep getting better and better.
And I have to leave you with this text Ava sends — not realizing that Harrison Evans and the sexy lumberjack she climbed like a tree are one and the same: Hi, this is Gabe’s sister. Sorry I’m running late. Will bring donuts in the morning. Had to see a lumberjack about some wood.😂
And this conversation? I was laughing so hard: Brian strolls past me and starts fiddling with my wallet. “What are you doing?” “Leaving it for you in case you grow a brain. Or balls. I’m also exchanging these crisp c-notes for condoms.” “A hundred dollars a condom? That’s highway robbery, considering they’ll never see the light of day.” “First of all, genius, they’re not supposed to see the light of day. And second, when Mt. Vesuvius finally erupts, you will thank me.” “Mt. Vesuvius?” “It’s what we all call your dick.” I glare. Brian gestures at my zipper solemnly. “Pressure like that could take out a city block. It’s being added to the FEMA watch list as we speak.” Zac adds. “The poor girl will need a personal injury waiver.” They laugh like hyenas. I cross my arms. “Are you two done?” “Almost.” Zac wipes at his eyes, chuckling hard. “Should we warn her about the blast radius, or let her find out the hard way?” “At least supply her with a mop.”🤣
📚 Sealed: The Boys of Bishop Mountain 🖋 Authors ~ Lexxi James 🖋 Features: Military romance, romantic suspense ⭐️ Rating: 5/5
“Destined souls don’t cross paths. They collide. Burn hot until every sharp edge is gone. Until your heart forgets where it ends… and his begins.”
Absolutely in love with the Boys of Bishop Mountain! These Alpha men are definitely worthy of the women they fall in love with. And Sealed is fantastic. Harrison and Ava's story is a whirlwind, a collision of love and trust. What started off as simple charity event and a favor to a best friend, links these two unlikely hearts together.
Harrison's a single dad who treats parenting like a dedicated tactical operation. He never expected his heart's new mission would involve his best friend's sister, Ava. Also known to every single person in the world as Princess Luna. Ava is the woman who quite unexpectedly collides into his life faster than a her agent can schedule a public appearance. One moment he's strutting his assets on the catwalk at a charity event, the next he's navigating the complexities of a celebrity movie star who wishes for the family Harrison loves with fierce, unparalleled devotion.
Their story took me through all the aches of loving and losing, wishing for a forever that's just out of reach. The lows of picking of a shattered life, trying to put it back together without those impossible directions that come in every DIY project. And the laughter that only Harrison can inspire, parenting his three kiddos like he's planning a covert invasion of bedtime routines, while Ava becomes the unexpected special agent of his daughter's fairy tale dreams.
Lexxi creates a beautiful bond of friendship and family that is both humorous and warm. Sometimes love isn't about finding your soulmate. It's about surviving the collision when it crashes into your life - lumberjack skills and military precision optional, but highly recommended. 🌲
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Harrison & Ava 🌲 Military Romance 🍭 Forced Proximity 🌲 Wounded Hero 🍭 Forbidden Romance 🌲 Brother's Best Friend

I borrowed SEALED ~ The Boys of Bishop Mountain Book 4, by Lexxi James, author, from the Kindle Unlimited Program on Amazon.
Harrison Evans, single Dad of three Ex-Navy SEAL meets 'the one' when they collide at the airport, the last place or time he expected for his life to change. Ava is a Hollywood star with a stalker and his best friend, her brother asks him to help protect her.
I loved how his three kids, Connor, Ollie and Snooki accept her into their life with a total change in attitude from how they behave for their Dad. Snnoki's wish for a princess for her Dad is so sweet.
From being attacked by fans, have a creepy stalker, the betrayal of her manager and personal assistant keeps the tension high. Ava also is under presure from landing the biggest role of her carreen, as Princess Luna.
She takes Harrison, her Lumberjack to a photo shoot for a wedding and ends up married to him instead of her stalker who was late arriving at the chuch where the shoot was suppose to be shot. Then they have to face her brother and he is not happy with how quickly they started their relationship.
The collision, a one-night stand as strangers, Harrison finding out his Pix is his best friend's little sister when she shows up at his house and his kids tell him who she really is and how much fun they added to the plot... just wow!
Can't wait to read the ending to the Lumberjack and Pix's story in the next book...
If you don't risk your heart, you don't find your heart.
A captivating heartwarming and profoundly moving story that swept me away and I have to say, exceeded my expectations! I loved every moment, especially with Harrison's children! Priceless!
The way Lexxi James writes you are pulled into this world of amazing unforgettable characters and never want to leave! She includes characters from other series which brings all these series together. You never know who might make an appearance.
I was swept away from the very beginning and couldn't put Harrison and Ava's gripping story down! She’s the love that he never thought was possible.
I loved that Lexxi brought in Mark’s, Zac’s, and Brian's childhood superhero adventures by using their superhero nicknames as they texted! I had a big goofy smile on my face. Really warmed my heart and brought these wonderful characters closer. I can't get enough of the boys of Bishop Mountain!
If you like stories with humor, strong women, loving men (who are also hot and sexy), and unforgettable characters, you'll love this series!
Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Everything we love can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye. So when you find that kind of love, grab onto it with both hands and never let go.
Sealed is book four of The Boys of Bishop Mountain Series. It is a spicy, stalker, best friend's sister, single dad romance featuring an ex-Seal and a Hollywood starlet. The story is told in first person with dual POV.
Ava is an actress who just landed the role of a lifetime, but she is in desperate need of some time away. Harrison is a single father of three kids and an ex-Seal who now works in security and protection. After a seemingly anonymous one night stand, Harrison finds himself tasked with secretly protecting Ava, his best friend's sister.
Harrison's protective ways and witty inner monologue had me falling hard for him. Ava is also terrific. I love her personality and how much she adored Harrison's kiddos, and how much they all loved her too.
This was such a great read. I loved the intrigue, the wit, the surprises, the mystery, the betrayal, and the excitement. Harrison and Ava are electrifying together and I loved every single second of their story.
The writing, pace, and flow of the story are amazing, as are the characters, plot, storytelling, character development, relationship development, storyline, and world building. I loved this book and would absolutely recommend it.
I didn't hate this book. I didn't love this book. But I liked this book.
Ava is a superstar actress who has a grimy ex-fiance and a stalker. She heads to NY for a week off and is going to stay at her brother's best friend's house to be out of the limelight. Harrison is said brother's best friend. He's a widower with 3 kids. He also works for Mark at Donovan Excelsior with all the rest of the guys. He happens to bump into Ava at the airport, not knowing who she is - famous actress or best friend's little sister. Then sge bumps into him again at the charity auction where he begs her to buy a date with him to save him from the unknown. Of course, this is where it all starts.
The entire story was cutsie but very anticlimactic. When everything was revealed at the end, it was lackluster and a tad boring.
I loved the characters and I did find peace in the non-roller coaster of a story. It was a nice kiddie ride of a change for me. But, it lacked grit.
The spice was good.
My recommendation: 🤷♀️ I will not say don't read it, but I have so many other books to recommend that are better.
Wow… just when I thought this book couldn’t get any better, it completely shattered my expectations. The raw emotion, heartbreak, healing, and power woven into this story were absolutely incredible.
Eva, a celebrity actress betrayed and deceived by the very people she trusted in Hollywood, escapes to New York searching for peace and a chance to breathe again. Then she meets Harrison — the rugged, protective lumberjack with a heartbreaking past and two beautiful children who instantly steal your heart.
Harrison, an ex-military man who has endured unimaginable loss, carries so much pain and wisdom within him. Watching Eva and Harrison slowly collide and break down each other’s walls was emotional, beautiful, and unforgettable. Their chemistry was intense, their love story felt real, and every moment between them had me completely invested.
This book gave me everything — romance, heartbreak, healing, family, passion, and hope. Lexxi James created characters that feel alive and a story that stays with you long after the last page.
Sealed The Boys of Bishop Mountain Series Book 4 Lexxi James
Harrison and Ava
Harrison receives a phone call from his friend Gabe. By the end of it, Harrison has agreed to helping out and Gabe’s sister, Ava, would stay with Harrison. Ava has a stalker and while Gabe tries to find the guy, he needs someone to protect Ava.
Harrison is a single dad of three and they are his life. But after some ribbing from his friends, Harrison agrees he needs a night out. To help a charity, Harrison is going to be auctioned off for a date. While there, Harrison meets a woman and they have an arrangement that she will bid on Harrison. The night ends up quite interesting.
So with no spoilers, you have to read the rest. Love the banter between Harrison and his friends. Plus the moment that Ava arrives at Harrison’s house. The book was a lot of fun to read and very entertaining. There will be a novella to follow this so look forward to that.
Sealed made me feel so many different emotions. It made me chuckle and full out laugh. It had me empathize with several characters, not just the male and female lead. It surprised me and even angered me. I just couldn't put it down. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. I have always enjoyed Lexi James's books, but this book put her in my "do not miss" category. About the story line... Harrison is the widowed father of three. His inside voice is just so funny and descriptive yet filled with such obvious love. Ava, the star celebrity he is supposed to protect, is so genuine. Their meet cute was very believable. Him not knowing who she was allowed him to get to know her without outside forces interfering. The romance, banter, nicknames added so much to the story. Fantastic read all around.
Sealed by Lexxi James tells the story of Harrison Evans, a retired Navy SEAL and widower raising his three kids: Connor, Oliver, and Sophie. His best friend, Gabe Alverez, is also a former SEAL. When Gabe needs help, Harrison is there for him. Gabe’s younger sister, Viviana—known in Hollywood as Ava Alverez and famous for playing Princess Luna—gets a role in a hit movie with leading man Pierce Maddox. When a stalker threatens her, she turns to her brother, who calls in backup: Evans, Donovan, and Bishop.
“True bravery isn’t measured in fists or firepower.”
Lexxi James writes stories that make you fall in love with the characters and feel like they’re real. The laughs, drama, suspense, and love all stand out. I wish there were a loyalty program for Pix and Lumberjack.
Little did Harrison know that agreeing to do a couple of favors for his best friends would lead to his orderly life being turned upside down. Ava needs to get out of town not only for a much-needed break from her hectic lifestyle, but she also needs to put distance between herself and her stalker. When Harrison and Ava officially meet, both are shocked. This story is filled with laughter, surprises, family, unexpected betrayals, and a slow burn between the two main characters. Everyone is happy about the relationship that has developed between Harrison and Ava, except her brother, who happens to be his best friend, and the stalker who intends for Ava to belong to him. The boys of Bishop Mountain deliver another amazing, entertaining adventure!
3.5⭐️ which is largely because it was Harrison and I’ve been waiting for his story. I have been following this series and I was so excited for Harrison’s story. He’s always been the supporter for the others and he was owed a magnificent story. I enjoyed the book but was a little disappointed. There were no real conversations with Harrison and Ava-like just instalove. Which by the way is so sweet for them. But no real discussions. Like what? This man suffered a loss is a widow with 3 kids and not to mention a total badass military serviceman. No discussions on his previous wife/life, what the whole married life was going to be like - nothing. I will be reading the next book just to see how this finishes. Hopefully Harrison gets the love he truly deserves.
Each book in this series got more frustrating than the last. Loved Marked best.
I’ve liked Harrison more and more through the series. And I like him in this book quite a bit. And Ava is likable.
But the misunderstandings, secrets, misconceptions etc are so irritating. Takes so much away from the love story.
And too many things don’t make sense. Their photo shoot at a church for a fake wedding being legally binding??!! They didn’t sign a marriage license. Ridiculous
And finally— the book ends so abruptly.
I will read their wedding in the final book when it comes out.
I enjoy the author's writing style, especially the humor in the way Harrison described being a dad. I really enjoyed his interactions with his kids too. The main characters were likeable, but there were too many instances that were too far-fetched or didn't make sense. For instance, why wouldn't Ava's brother tell Harrison his sister's name? And if he's into security, why did he have a guy with a big sign with Ava's name on it waiting to pick her up at the airport? The church scene was too far-fetched for me, as was the police allowing Ava to do the interrogation. Also, it doesn't speak highly of this security company if they couldn't think to put cameras in Ava's trailer and if they couldn't do background checks into the people in Ava's life.
Sealed was so good. Harrison was this ex seal, protective but kind and would do anything for anyone. Ava at first is this star but she had a stalker and Harrison's friends asked him to look out for her.
So well done. Great romance and the addition of the kids helps to pull the story along but also gets the reader involved. Nice touch of steam as well.
A little danger, drama and suspense but a great romance made this a must read in my eyes. Just a delight. This author's writing is fun and easy read. So good!!
It was a fun and easy read that got me out of my reading slump. Harrison is the perfect protective MMC/brother’s best friend and I love how Ava is so soft hearted even under the pressures of her world. I wish there was more tension and the suspense/reveal of the stalker and other characters’ intentions were longer than a chapter bc I would’ve been intrigued to read the backstory. But I also liked that it didn’t take away from the romance. Overall, it was a good time.
I liked this book!! Lexxi James characters come to life!! This particular man is Harrison, when he meets his best friend little sister Ava, things start cooking!! this book overheats pretty fast! Ava is in New York staying with her brother‘s best friend and his family and she’s the biggest star on the west coast. Privacy is upmost. Take a dive in deep and check this out. I loved it.!!
Sealed is book four in The Boys of Bishop Mountain Series.. This is about Harrison and Ava( his bestie sister) . This is Spicy and intriguing. This is a sweet read, well written, great romance, a little drama, danger and suspense but delightful memories. I enjoyed reading Lexxi's books and this is no exception. I love it and I recommend it.
I wanna get me my very own lumberjack after reading this book!
Wow, loved the spice, the action and the plot twist. A great easy read that had enough story to keep the pages turning and wanting more of Ava and Harrison to salivate over. It was deffo a 4.5 star read, I think I just wanted a little more of the bonding time to give it 5 stars but it certainly didn't disappoint. Loved it!
I enjoyed reading this book, it was fast paced, had an interesting storyline and cute kids. But I wonder why the well renowned and super efficient security company didn't find out about the familial relationship of Ava's entourage. Why didn't they suspect und then investigate her PA and agent, the only persons who had direct contact and determined her dates. Otherwise it was a great suspenseful book.
I don’t know if I’m alone in this but I felt like some of the story was missing. It was a slow book but also insta love? It felt like it was jumping everywhere. There was also no debt to them. A lot of things made no sense. How would he not know she was famous? His best friends sister? Nope. Then no one tells her about the stalker, the brother simply doesn’t care about her. But how dumb was she not to figure it out? This was a mess. Don’t get me started on that wedding.
Ava has a stalker and Harrison a single dad of 3 and ex seal, has been tasked with watching over her with out her knowing, only there each others one night stand and he cant keep away and his kids have already plotted to keep her! Well written engaging steamy desires, fun loving romance, one night stand to more!
They love each other the first day? Ok, love at first sight. He has 3 kids. Not an issue at all. She loves them the first day. They put her in a building with 24 hour guards and surveillance but let her go out to walk the streets of NYC every day alone. Nice surprise twist at the end. I guessed part of it. It’s an okay book.
Harrison Evans, a widower with three children, agreed to help his best friend's sister. Ava Alvarez, Hollywood starlett, arrived in New York to get away from a stalker. They literally collided when they first meet. A romance with humor, suspense, adorable children, and an unpredictable ending.
This is the fourth book in the Boys of Bishop Mountain series. It’s a captivating best friend's sister, single dad romance. The plot is action packed, emotional, spicy and entertaining. I enjoyed it.
This was an enjoyable contemporary romance between Harrison and Ava. Both were characters you could certainly root for in addition to his three adorable kids. The part with the lack of a license didn’t make sense to me, but most things were explained.
A comedy of errors, a meet cute that’s more of a meet crazy, and lots of shenanigans. It’s a little hard to believe he doesn’t know who she is since the kids are fans, but hey, he’s a busy guy. Can’t wait for the wedding!
Sweet HEA story of Ava, a movie star and widower, Harrison, the father of three, who is tasked by Ava's brother to keep his baby sister safe. Per usual, they try to keep their forbidden love at bay but fail spectacularly. Enjoy!
