Finally Some Happiness For Tony And Claire!

Tony Rawlings is probably my all-time favorite "love to hate him" book boyfriend. I absolutely cannot get enough of Tony and Claire!

Told in multiple POVs, this book offers a look at Tony and Claire's life together as they live their happily ever after. I enjoyed this book and was glad to see two of my favorite characters get to ride off into the sunset together. They really seem to have settled in to their new lives, filled with domestic bliss and play dates. Their love for one another is still unparalleled and it was nice to see them get to have some normalcy for a change, relatively speaking.

At the same time, I have to admit that this book didn't have quite the same draw for me as the earlier books. I don't know that there is any other way for Tony and Claire to get their HEA, but I can't help but feel that Tony has lost the sadistic, manipulative characteristics that defined him. It was inevitable if there was ever going to be a HEA in the cards for him and Claire, but the masochist in me misses the old Tony. I guess I wanted to have my cake and eat it too!

Of course, it wouldn't be Tony and Claire if there wasn't a little mystery and danger. The eerily familiar letters continue to turn up, threatening their newfound peaceful existence. This time around, Nichol has captured the attention of a person from Tony and Claire's past.

While Phil works diligently to eliminate this latest threat against the Rawlings, more of his history comes to light. He finds himself opening up and unexpectedly forging new bonds with Taylor, the newest member of the Rawlings' security team. I look forward to reading more about Phil and his new love interest in the future. It seems that Tony and Claire aren't the only characters that will get a HEA in this series.

Despite the changed dynamics of Tony and Claire's relationship, I continue to enjoy this story immensely. I cannot get enough of this story! I look forward to hearing more about the futures of Tony, Claire and all the other characters I've grown to love in this series.

Beyond the Consequences began in the form of a novella in a limited release anthology. It's from this short novella that book 5 of the Consequences series evolved and Aleatha Romig expanded her novella into a full length not-to-be-missed delve into the life of the Rawlings family Beyond the Consequences.

Don't we all wonder that? What happens to our beloved favourite characters when we turn the last page?

There’s a little intrigue, some danger, a dose of retribution and a delightful side story for Phil and a new character..... There's other treats and more. Everything is tied up splendidly, every thought and feeling that I can think of has been answered, although I’m fairly sure Aleatha Romig could always give us more in some form or another.

The character development is incredible. Aleatha Romig's knowledge, love and understanding of her characters totally shines through her writing; there’s such an easy, effortless and eloquent style to it making the words flow from the page into my mind like a breeze. The 'Rawlings' family unit they've become, not only with their blood relatives but with their friends and employees is truly celebrated and the future of their inner family is solidified beautifully.

This line gives me goose bumps EVERY time. Does Tony say it in this story? There's only one way to find out.... Read, experience and enjoy their future.... It's sublime.

I loved the exploration of the wrongs Tony perpetrated but the fact remains that's what bought them together in the first place. Their love has been tested to the extreme and then tested some more and it has survived. Survived EVERYTHING and more.

A testament to the skill of this author is the way in which the emotion of the story crept up on me... My tears came from nowhere and that’s the power of Tony and Claire, and their love story.

I always crave more of my very favourite book couples and, for me, Beyond the Consequences felt like a celebratory epilogue with a dash of added intrigue and an abundance of beauty….. I smiled, I cried, I felt anticipation…. It's a marvellous fifth instalment of one of my favourite love stories.

Everything’s coming up roses!

Maybe everything is far too perfect than I would have expected.
Tony is the perfect male specimen and the Rawlings becomes a perfect family with the perfect friends and the perfect lifestyle.
There are of course a few bumps along the way, but nothing their perfect friends cannot solve.

If you have read “Revealed: The Missing Years”, the book “Beyond the Consequences” includes:
-things you would probably already know like Claire and Tony’s HEA,
-things that you suspect like Harry’s HEA and
-things you would probably not know like Phil’s HEA

The most important actually fact is that nobody has any regrets and I had a few amazing months reading about the story of Tony and Claire. Thank you Mrs Aleatha Romig!

“The thing is,” Tony began, “I know it was wrong. The world knows it was wrong. Hell, I spent two years paying the price for it being wrong.” His voice softened. “And you’ve paid more than that, but right now, with the two of us here and Nichol down the hall, I can’t say I regret bringing you here. I should, but I don’t.”
Claire closed her eyes and swallowed. “Maybe we are both crazy?”
Tony’s arms tightened around her. “What does that mean? You regret it?”
“No, I don’t. I regret many things. Being with you right here, right now, isn’t one of them.”
“I regret the way I treated you, the things that happened… but bringing you into my life…” His lips touched her neck sending chills down her body. “…I’ll never regret.”

P.S. In case you wonder, I still despise Tony.

Drama, Love, Bliss, Sensuality, Sweetness and Perfection that is what Aleatha Romig has done with Beyond the Consequences. If I have to come up with one sentence to describe Tony and Claire. ..........One of the greatest love stories ever written.

This book was FABULOUS. It has a little bit of everything. It isn't all perfect for Tony and Claire but it sure almost is. We get the glimpse of what life is like for Tony and Claire as their life progresses as a true family.....Tony, Claire, Nichol and well we can't forget their extended family, the ones that keep them safe, Phil, Eric and Taylor. There are still some dangers that lurk but with their safety net, nothing can penetrate and take away their happiness.

While reading, there were so many times that I smiled and I grinned and I was just in total bliss. I know that everyone has favorite Series and The Consequences series will forever be an All Time Favorite for me. The character development, the storyline, the complete slow change, the twist and turns, the ups and downs, Aleatha Romig created an amazing story and characters that will always be with me.

I will say that my favorite part of the book was the night when Tony and Claire are in NY alone. That passage was the full circle of the consequences for the both of them. I finished it and cried because of the beauty of the words and the emotions it gave me. I could feel Claire become whole again. As Claire was remembering that time, alone under the Iowa stars, in the pool, she opened her eyes to the warmth and smell, and those iconic words....."Good evening, Claire." And I will say that I had to pause because that phrase and all its implications were the best 3 words at that very moment. It was PERFECTION.

Anyone who is a fan of The Consequences Series, this is a MUST read. It just solidifies the happiness, the bliss, the love, the Best of Consequences for Tony and Claire.

Beyond The Consequences by Aleatha Romig was beyond everything I expected this book to be. This fifth book of the Consequences Series was breathtakingly beautiful. If there was ever a series that I don’t want to end, this would be it. From the first book to this fifth book, readers have seen the transformation, growth, and maturity of the love Tony and Claire has for each other. Their love for each other has deepen, evolved, and has gotten stronger over the years. It is a love built on trust, forgiveness, passion, and a bond so strong that has withstood the test of time.

“Until we have seen someone’s darkness, we don’t really know who that person is. Until we have forgiven someone’s darkness, we don’t really know what love is.”- Marianne Williamson

#BYC

This book was so eloquently written that Ms. Romig outdid herself when she made readers see beyond the words. She allowed her readers to FEEL. To feel the deep love, the jealousy, the hurt, the loss, the regret, and most importantly to feel the connections that binds Tony and Claire. What I truly love about this series is that it is truly built on many layers of different characters. Though the story is solely focused and built around Tony and Claire, the secondary characters play a big role into the storyline. Without these characters, there will be no mystery, suspense, romance, friendship, family, and most importantly no Tony and Claire.

In this 5th book, Ms. Romig picks off where readers last remembered Tony and Claire. I thought Claire and Tony reunited with Nichol was the perfect ending to complete their HEA but Ms. Romig treated her readers and fans of the series to another amazing installment that was beyond perfection. I really don’t want to spoil anything for the readers because this book was an absolute delight and treat for me. It left me smiling and crying big fat happy tears. But I will just say, Ms. Romig did not just give us all happy and lovey dovey moments, but in true Aleatha Romig fashion she added a bit of vulnerability, suspense and twist into the storyline. And of course, Ms. Romig not only treated us with the romance of Tony and Claire but also to a brewing romance of Phil Roach and his woman. So if Tony and Claire are not enough justification to read this book, then I’m sure you are dying of curiosity to know who is this lucky lady that captured the heart of Phil Roach.

#BYC_1

Beyond The Consequences is a bittersweet read for me. It feels like I’m saying goodbye to Tony and Claire but at the same time I am so thankful and beyond happy that Ms. Romig brought them back. I absolutely love Tony and Claire because their love may not be perfect but what love is. Their relationship and romance may not be of fairytales but 100% their love came full circle. It is a love like no other. A love worth fighting, dying and sacrificing for. When we first started out with this series, Aleatha Romig took my heart, twisted it around, tore it to pieces and then as the series progressed, she slowly taped it back together. So if you haven’t read the Consequences Series, I highly suggest you do. You do not want to miss an epic, heartbreaking, emotional, dark, captivating and fated romance that will have you yearning for more. Tony and Claire’s love and devotion for each other will grip you, touch and will stay with you. And the Consequences Series is a perfect reminder that you don’t have to explain and justify your love to the world. The only thing that matters is that Tony and Claire are two puzzles pieces that fit together.

“No, Tony. I didn’t make you into anyone. You’ve always been this man. People don’t change: they hide. The man you were was a shell hiding the man you are today. The woman I was, when you first took me, was a shell hiding the woman I was afraid to be. I didn’t make you. You didn’t change me. And I thank God that once our shells were broken that the two people we really were fit together so well. “ ~Claire

Read 3/31/2015

As much as I freaking enjoyed the Consequences Trilogy, I'm ready to put my obsession towards Tony and Claire to rest.

Beyond the Consequences is a 275 pages of extended HEA. Before I start, I was very thrilled and excited because I was obsessed with anything Rawlings. But when I was reading this, I was bored by it and rather read something else.

Tony is now being too nice and let Claire walk all over him. Sometime I miss the domineering narcissist asshole.

Claire turned into this alpha woman that got on my nerves. When there is a threat against their daughter in New York, she decided that they still need to go there to watch the Lion King because they can't put their life on hold. Sorry, I thought your daughter safety should be the priority.

The sex. Who am I kidding? There is no sex. There is only mentioned of sex and tons of foreplay. Anyone who read this series know that there isn't any smutt here.

Nichol. I'm sorry, Nichol isn't the sort of 3 year old that I like to read. She's too much of a princess. Having a billionaire father can do that to a kid.

Suspense. There are some drama with the threats against the Rawlings. But honestly, they had enough drama to last them a few life time already.

I don't know what I expect when I pick this up. I was disappointed that I didn't enjoy it. Tony, we had a hell of a ride and I enjoyed our journey very much. But I'm ready to say goodbye to you.

I have finally finished this last book of this serie. This was a very goody-goody end to a story that began with me having a "WTF am I reading" moment. Even the case that was handled by Phil was closed with no suspense at all.
I do like a HEA, but would have loved a more thrilling story to reach that.
And what was up with Taylor???? Is that gonna be a new book?

*****5+ Stars!************

Beyond The Consequences (Consequences #5) by Aleatha Romig
4.5 stars!!

“Nothing can bring a real sense of security into the home except true love.”

Tony and Claire are one of those couples that I cannot seem to get enough of. When a couple have been through as much as these two have and when considering their coming together in the first instance was so unethical and incomprehensible you often wonder how they ever came to be in the first place. One thing that I have come to understand as each book has been released is that despite all of this, their love for each other actually is genuine, as unbelievable and implausible as it seems. I was one of those people that hated Tony with a passion in the first book and I never, ever thought that I could see him in a different light. As the story has developed and progressed I have come to love Tony, I can never forgive him for what happened in Consequences, but then neither can he, so at least we are on the same wavelength.

“I didn’t make you into anyone. You’ve always been this man. People don’t change: they hide. The man you were was a shell hiding the man you are today.”

This story picks up with the Rawlings family coming to terms with being together as a family once again. Tony has to get over his incarceration and Claire needs to come to terms with her breakdown. Both have a lot of regrets to contend with but first and foremost are their love for each other and their love for their daughter Nichol. Between therapy, couples therapy and Tony greatly reducing his office hours and working from home more and more, as each page passed I could feel their reconnection building to an all-time high. With the support of friends and “their family” this couple grow from strength to strength before your eyes. With shared decision making and constant dialogue between these two I felt my hope building with every page that these two would make it to the end.

“Tony was the gravitational pull whom she willingly allowed to dictate her orbit and warm her heart.”

The “Rawlings family” is extended with the addition of Taylor a female close protection guard. With more postal threats coming through for Claire and Nichol security is stepped up and Taylor can go where Phil can’t. You would have thought that this family would at least be allowed to breathe easy by now, but life is never simple and with the ripples of Meredith’s book still causing waves it seems that this family still has the last of the stalkers to contend with, or are they? Phil struggles to come to terms with sharing his responsibilities, but could Taylor be the breath of fresh air that Phil needs?

I am not going to get into the nitty gritties of this book but I will say I high-lighted loads, there are many beautiful and poignant quotes contained within that will leave your heart in your mouth, swooning and sighing out loud. Aleatha is a master with conveying that all-consuming, deep heart felt love in just a few words. If any couple in history deserve a HEA it is these two and you will just have to read to the end to see just how happy their HEA is.

“As he did, he knew he wouldn’t go back to black and white, to BC. He didn’t want to. She was one of his anchors, keeping him from slipping back into that abyss.”

There are many side characters in this book that I still want to know more about and get their HEA. Top of my list would have to be Phil, his dedication and devotion to the Rawlings family has left his love life on the back burner and if anyone deserves happiness it is him. I still want to know what happened to Harrison going forward. He was always an intriguing character and I just felt that he had been let down by everybody and had turned into a bit of a floater not really knowing where he belonged. At least if Aleatha Romig puts pen to paper for these characters we could always get more snippets of the continued goings on with the Rawlings!

“I’ve lost too much time in the past. I want the now.”

Really? Really? How many books is this series going to be stretched into with the author adding novellas, companion books, novellas included in companion books, novellas expanded into full books, etc?

This is damn ridiculous. This author needs to have a seat next to Tara Sue Me who's on the fifth book in her Submissive "Trilogy." I quit.

Beautiful. Heart-warming. Emotional. Refreshing. I had a smile on my face and tears in my eyes the whole way through. Way to do a series justice Ms. Romig!

Beyond The Consequences goes beyond the Happily Ever After. It went beyond my expectations as well! This book made me realize...I don't think I will ever get enough of Tony and Claire. I will always treasure their epic love story. Their love story conquered all. Their strength, their perseverance, their unending adoration for one another just blows my mind. It is refreshing and heartwarming to read about them now, even after all they have been through, still laughing, teasing, and just loving each other. This is a couple that will always be in my heart, long after the turn of the last page.

Beyond The Consequences brought back a side of Anthony Rawlings that always makes my heart pitter-patter. Tony is a man in love. A man who will do anything for his family. But he is also a man who has a past that will not disappear, nor would he want it to, because of the fact it brought Claire into his life. He is reminded every day of what he has, and I can safely say that I am so damn proud of that man. Don't get me wrong, he is still the strong, possessive, brooding type, but there is a softness now about him, a softness, a tenderness that makes me weak in the knees. There may have been a time where you and I despised the man who started it all, but we can now be proud of the man who actually deserves his happily ever after.

Claire shows off her strength in this book. This is a woman who has been through hell and back. She too is constantly reminded about the past. But in Beyond The Consequences she has learned that the past will never go away, we can't change it, we can't run away from it. Claire Rawlings has found the other half of her heart, her soul-mate, and she will enjoy each and every moment she has with her family, rather than dwelling on the past and the what-ifs.

Quick note: Aleatha has a treat for all of you Phil fanatics out there. Phil has met his match and I couldn't have been more giddy about it. We get to experience a side of Phil that has been hidden beneath this mask for so long. OMG! I'm still smiling about it! Phil is still a BAD ASS, and it is so damn sexy!

All in all, BEYOND THE CONSEQUENCES was an unbelievably incredible conclusion to this series. I, as a HUGE fan of the Consequences series, could not have been happier with this treat Ms. Romig gave to her readers. I understand and support the decisions Aleatha had to make in this book. I know that these characters, Tony especially, are near and dear to her heart, and I am so incredibly touched and ecstatic that she has shared them with the world.

Ahhh. Diving back in to Tony and Claire feels like a sick twisted homecoming of sorts. Like most people, I have a love/hate relationship with these two. You want to slap 'em, then they kind of grow on you, then you have to shake your head and say, "no, I am falling for the mind screwing trap!" Andddd then you end up loving them again anyway. These two have been on QUITE a journey and this book was just more drama for ya mama.

"Their paths had taken them on some dark journeys and somehow they found their way back together."

And I have loved every word of it.

Aleatha's writing is very descriptive and easily paints pictures in my mind of people and places. She is the first author that had me immediately calling my best friend after reading the first book in this series, because of its absolutely mind boggling ending.

The closer I got to the end of this story, the more tears were shed. Tony as a father is amazingly adorable. If I was ever in the same room with him I would give him a big ole hug, after I slapped him around a little (see: Consequences 1, 2 and 3).

Without giving anything away, this latest installment in the Rawling's saga, has just as many twists and surprises as the others. Well worth diving back into this series.

And it has Phil. Everyone loves Phil. *Sigh* 5 (demanding) stars from me.

3.5 stars This is one of my favorite series and while I enjoyed visiting with Tony & Claire and their family in the future, I missed the intensity & omg moments from the previous books. I missed feeling the urgent need to read as fast as I could, almost afraid of what surprise or shock might grab me on the next page. In my opinion, the events that might have generated those kind of controversial scenes/moments are glossed over, as readers are not privy to the descriptive details or execution of them in this book. For me, this was a good, comfortable read...I enjoyed it because I love the characters.

My love for this series gets stronger with every book. When I first heard that there would be a fifth book, I thought "Do we really need it?" The answer is: Yes. Beyond the Consequences allow us see at how things have progressed with Clare and Tony and how life can be full of happiness for them. Yes, even Tony Rawlings deserves an HEA. I will never say that another book is not needed. Do your thing, Aleatha! She cleverly left something things open to explore in the future and I'm happy to continue the journey should there be more.

"Mrs. Rawlings, I've said it before and I'll repeat it until the day I die. I love you. You're my life, my drug, my anchor. You've made me into a man who deserves to have you in his life."

This series has always been in my all-time favorite list and this book just cemented that fact. We have seen Tony and Claire go through some major trauma, heartbreak, love, romance. You name it and those two have gone through it and come out even stronger.

I always like getting to see what happens after the "happily ever after". Aleatha delivers on that in this book and so much more for the die-hard fans of this series who wondered throughout whether there would be a happily ever after for this couple. They had so many things stacked against them. The world now knew their story and had their own preconceived notions of the couple, but this did not break them apart. It made them stronger.

I loved seeing them as parents and you just know that Tony and Claire are going to have their hands full with little Nichol.

I do not want to spoil things because this book delves into so much. You get to see what happened to Harry and you also get to see a side of Phil that just had to make you smile.

I adore this Nichols-Rawlings family and I hope this isn't the end of their story. Well-done, Aleatha!

I absolutely love the consequences series so much. Every book was fantastic. to me some of the dark romance novels are from your vision. The characters are real, I cry, laugh, get frustrated, and sigh with the characters. I would like Marie ' s story, how she became the person she ended up being. I imagine a tough life for her.

I really didnt like how Ms. Romig left things with Phil & Tayor

I look forward to Duplicity and I will keep my fingers crossed that maybe Ms. Romig will tell Nichol's and Nate's story. It would be interesting how Tony and Claire are as parents. Especially, to see Anthony's parenting rules and consequences. I am sure they will not disapoint. Again thank you for a fanstatic read

I'm in love with Aleatha Romig. This book was everything I expected, and beyond and definitely the HEA I needed. If there ever was a series I don't want to end, this would be the one. The whole series, hands down,is the best series ever!

I have been trying to find the words for this review. I have two opinions on this book, and I teetered on which way this review should go. So I will give you both.

I will start off with what I expected from this book...

If you have read the entire series so far, you are most likely wondering who was writing the notes and sending the packages to Claire and Tony... This is a piece of the puzzle that was never resolved. Well, this piece is multi-layered, and you do get answers and a resolution. However, I really thought this is what the book would revolve around. I was looking forward to it. Well, this is just a tiny blip in the book. You find out the who. It's even taken care of. It really is that simple in the book. I thought for sure we would get a little more meat and potatoes on this. Maybe some twists and turns. A little bit of the shock value, maybe. And then in the end, they all live happily ever after...

What I got in this book....

This is the part that is hard for me. While the book is resolving left over issues, lightly, it is also giving you a glimpse into the life after the story... Hence the name of the book. For me, being that it is Aleatha, is was too light and soft. I have come to expect more grit from her. Although, I did enjoy learning about Claire and Tony as parents. Seeing them move forward was sweet. Then introducing us to a new character along with Phil and Eric was a nice little bonus too.

I will admit, since there wasn't much plot twists to keep my mind racing, the book moved slow for me. I did have a hard time staying focused. Maybe that's because I was expecting something a little different from what it actually was. Who knows.

The book itself is written in true Aleatha form though. I can still hear her voice in her writing, but it's her tamer voice. Who knew she had one! haha. It flowed and allowed you to see the characters in a different light from what you have seen in the past. Some don't like the new version of the characters. I am not sure what I think of them. However, the only character that seemed to not change at all is Emily. I still can't stand her. She never did redeem herself in my eyes.

There were many heart melting parts in the book. This isn't your heart-pounding wtf book; this is the awww that is so sweet and wonderful book. It really did take me by surprise. The interactions in the story are so well written, I did feel like I was in the story, as I have in the past with Aleatha's books.

And now for the big finish... My rating. I still can't figure out how to rate this book. The writing is phenomenal, as always. My hang-up, obviously is the change in plot-style. I am trying really hard to look past the whole HEA throughout the entire book... With that being said, I am giving this a 3.5-4 stars. I just can't seem to give this book a solid rating. Many LOVED it. Whereas, I liked it. Many will not be disappointed in this book. They will be pleased with Claire and Tony's happily ever after. If you have read the rest of the series, you really should read this book!

The events in Beyond the Consequences take place directly after Convicted and where we all left off. Was I 100% content with that ending? Yes. Did I want and need more? Yes. Does Aleatha give me what I need in this book to successfully finish this series for me? Hells Yes!!!

This story is a peek at what Tony and Claire’s life is like after Convicted…after the Island, after getting Nichol back, after “the package” was received by Phil. And what of that “package”?

I have to say I just loved this book. I will speak for myself, but I think we can all agree that Aleatha has a writing style that is different and unique. She is very descriptive and always leaves me with a beautiful picture in my head. Whether it be Nichol’s bedroom, the winters in Iowa or the Island. If I could draw, I would have the most beautiful images on paper from these books. The handsome Tony Rawlings, the doting father, CEO and supporting husband. (Did I just say all of that out loud?) Why yes you did Trish. I needed to see Tony in daddy mode. I needed to know how he would handle being a father. I must say it’s very sexy.

And Claire…Well she has a whole new set of issues to deal with in this book. And I honestly never thought of the aftermath of being locked away for those years, and how it would affect Claire, Tony and Nichol. Claire is a very strong woman, and I loved the way this story unfolded and showed this side of her. This is a side of Claire that I love, that I am proud of.

Also in Beyond, we get more of Phil, which I loved!!! And we see a new side of Phil; a more personal side. His devotion to Claire and this family is shown in his actions. At times I worried for him. So once this story unfolded, and Aleatha jumps back into her angsty mood, I couldn’t put it down. Between the hush hush meetings, and commotion, the secret packages, I was scared shit for Rawlingses.

But the one thing that is constant in this book, is the love that Tony and Claire share with each other, and their daughter. I was moved to tears more than once. Just because, we all know where this story all began and to see Tony evolve…and watch Claire grow stronger. It’s a transformation I enjoyed watching as I read. And this book wrapped it all up the way it should be.

You feel everything these characters feel. The love shown between one another, the friendships they share, the angst, the worry, the hurt, the pain…the regrets. It’s all there and then some. Some scenes I was left breathless by Tony and his words, and in some scenes my heart was racing because I was too scared to read ahead and learn what was to come.

There is no doubt this story needed to be told. I can’t believe I went from loathing Tony Rawlings to loving and respecting him whole-heartedly. I can remember a time I dreaded reading this series. Thank God I didn’t pass this up. The journey that Aleatha takes you on will stay with you, forever. This story is unforgettable.

The book gets 5 Stars and 5 HOLLAS!! And definitely Trish Mint Approved!

Title: Beyond The Consequences: Book #5
Author: Aleatha Romig
Series: Yes
Release Date: January 15, 2015
Rating: 5 stars
Cliffhanger: no
Spoiler-free review

This series NEVER GETS OLD. Aleatha Romig can keep writing about Tony and Claire forever, and I would never get bored with this series. This story just keeps getting better and better. As this series unfolds, Romig manages to breathe new life into this sizzling plot without skipping a beat.

In Beyond The Consequences, Tony & Claire’s story picks up in December 2016 and chronicles their lives up until August 2018. Their complicated and complex love story changed so much. The Rawlings family dynamics changed, and their love evolved. Tony is a loving father and doting husband. Claire fell into her chosen role as a loving mother and wife. She yearns to put all of the pieces of her life back together as she missed so much during her breakdown. She is still heavily medicated and wants to “feel” again. The Rawlings family is still on high security after additional mailed threats have been received. There are consequences for those that choose to mess around with the Rawlings family. As their security grows tighter, the family seems to get closer and bigger…and that’s all I’m going to say…because I’m not going to give new plot elements away!

This is mandaTONY reading for Consequences series fans. Romig is a master story dispenser of kindle crack, and I am one of her biggest buyers. This book and this series should be auto-downloaded. Don’t forget to read Revealed: The Missing Years (Book #4).

**** 3.5 STARS ****

I finally finished the book.

description

Compared to the prior books in the series, this was a bit anticlimactic. But this story was more about Claire and Tony's journey to their happily ever after. It's their conclusion. Everything happened for a reason.

"Mrs. Rawlings, I've said it before and I'll repeat it until the day I die. I love you. You're my life, my drug, my anchor. You've made me into a man who deserves to have you in his life."

"No, Tony. I didn't make you into anyone. You've always been this man. People don't change: they hide. The man you were was a shell hiding the man you are today."

I also enjoyed reading about Roach's personal life. I'm not sure if I'm going to read the Behind His Eyes books. I'm honestly getting a little tired of their story. Maybe I'll come back in a few months. I think I just need a break.

I LOVE Aleatha.... And every book she writes about Tony and Claire terrifies me to read it....
But then I start reading more of this crazy world of Mr. & Mrs. Rawlings... and I am soooooo happy that Aleatha keeps them coming!!

Their journey is a dark twisted sordid love obsession... It always leaves you gasping and wanting to throw your kindle, and then at the same time praying this insanity never ends....

I can't say enough how epically talented Aleatha is, in creating a character so vile as Anthony Rawlings, and getting deep into our psyche and making us love him... How can you ever love a monster??? The only way is to be "Aleatha'd".

This 5th journey into their lives... you think.. would let you live in peace, as they have overcome soooooo much. This would be the story where everything is sunshine and roses... and you could bask in Tony and Claire enjoying their daughter Nichol... You would think that, right!!

Well no sooner did you get to have a little peace, than threats are made against the Rawlings mother and child, and the drama begins!

Will the madness ever end?? Can they ever have peace and ride off into the sunset in a bubble of love and happiness??

Well read on my Lovelies to find out!!!

Thank you so much for this book! It was a bonus to the series. For me, it made the characters more real. You're one heck of a writer. I love that you tied up Claire and Tony's story in a neat bow. That being said, if you wanted to continue the glimpse you gave us into Phil's story, I wouldn't complain. ;-)
