Few will dare to do the difficult.
Less will reach the stars.

Self-assured and hungry for adventure, Aurora’s life changes forever when she’s abducted from Earth and thrust into an interstellar empire that sees her as both an anomaly and a resource.

In this cosmic reimagining of Greek mythology, Aurora journeys through the Perseus Constellation alongside alien companions, navigating power struggles, family ties, and dangerous conspiracies that threaten everything she believes in.

As adventure becomes survival, Aurora must confront forces determined to control her—and decide whether to surrender to a power that could consume her, or claim her destiny and burn brighter than the stars.

This book was an absolute blast from start to finish. It was a fast-paced, high-stakes story that never slowed down. It’s packed with constant action, twists, and a little bit of romance. I couldn’t put it down for the last 100 pages. A super fun, sci-fi adventure that delivers exactly what it promises. I can’t wait for the second book!

Thank you, R.A. Sand, for this amazing sci-fi journey 🚀✨
This book truly felt out of this world! I loved following Aurora—a travel guide and translator who is passionate about exploring, learning new languages, and meeting new people.
When she meets Adrian, who saves her from another species and takes her across space, the story turns into such a thrilling adventure. Their journey together, the way they grow closer, and everything Aurora goes through made it such an emotional and exciting ride.
I also loved the subtle touches of Greek and Egyptian mythology woven into the plot, along with the environmental themes on other planets—it added so much depth to the story 🌍✨
And that ending… a total cliffhanger! I’m already waiting to see what happens next 👀🔥

I just finished this book and it was phenomenal! It’s fast paced, closed door romance, and it will keep you on the edge of your set. I enjoyed the world building because it was unique how Sands incorporated Greek mythology and science fiction. It fit perfectly together.

I loved following Aurora‘s journey in space after she is kidnapped. There is a lot of self discovery and hidden identity and at the same time a lot of adventure through space. I kept questioning Izar and Andrin intentions through the whole book and you find out at the end. The cliffhanger was crazy and I loved it!!

Thank you R.A Sands for letting me read this amazing story and I can’t wait for the next one to continue Aurora’s journey!!

What if our mythology was rooted in interstellar fact? Starry Eyed follows a young woman snatched from her life by forces she doesn’t understand, turning her identity upside down.
Interstellar travel, strange creatures, powerful beings, and political intrigue. A universe with much potential.
Some romantic themes, but closed-door intimacy only.
Overall an enjoyable read, will be interested to see where the series goes next.

“I’m not only an alien princess of a fallen constellation, but something far more important…I was part of the most powerful bloodline in an entire galaxy.”

I absolutely loved reading this otherworldly story and following Aurora’s journey through it. In addition to the many battles and unique creatures she encounters, her discovery of self was captivating. I found so much intrigue in trying to figure out who Aurora truly was and what her purpose in Galaxia was intended to be.

Deciphering the true intentions of Izar and Andrin kept me on my toes until the final page. All of the suspense in Aurora’s experiences combined with the deep-rooted history of the various constellations made me question who was trustworthy and who was leading our protagonist astray.

Sands did an excellent job in keeping me captivated in this new world from beginning to end. I devoured this book and cannot wait to see where Aurora—or should I say, Roa—adventures to next.

What a phenomenal read and fast-paced adventure. While it’s been a little while since I read sci-fi, this reminded me exactly why I love the genre so much.

We are basically thrown straight into the action. By the second chapter, we’re already in outer space and the story doesn’t slow down from there.

The worldbuilding, lore, and threads of Greek mythology were incredibly immersive and well done. At times it felt like watching a movie unfold in front of my eyes.

But my absolute favorite part was Aurora. I love a badass FMC and she absolutely delivered. Watching her go from complete denial about everything to training, harnessing her power, and accepting who she is was so satisfying. I also loved that she constantly calls out Andrin and Izar and never backs down.

It ends on a soft cliffhanger and I’m really excited to read the next one.

This was a different genre than what I'm used to. It was a fantasy with a sci-fi, space element and a lot of fun. The main character is a successful interpreter and world travel until her world gets flipped upside down. She is kidnapped and taken to space where she learns who she really is and why she was different on Earth. This was well written and I recommend it. I look forward to continuing the story!

Aurora is the last survivor of an entire galaxy. When she was a baby, she was taken to Earth, adopted, and raised as a human. She only discovers her true heritage after she’s attacked. Andrin saves her and takes her abroad his ship. She discovers she has powerful magic and that her bright ‘light’ makes her a target. As they travel from planet to planet, Aurora tries to uncover the truth and piece together her past.

This was an interesting, fast-paced book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The romance is closed door, and I actually prefer Aurora with Izar over Andrin. The world building is especially unique, blending science fiction with Greek mythology. The lore is that aliens visited Earth in the past, so greek mythology actually derives from those visits. Throughout the book, you’ll encounter Greek-adjacent names and terms like Mycenae, Katos, and Scilla.

The world building is fascinating, but it suffers from too much breadth. I felt like every few pages, there was some new alien, planet, history, or magic that was being described. It got fatiguing and I struggled to remember or keep track of everything. Eventually, I stopped caring about the details altogether. Regardless, I really enjoyed the book and look forward to the second one.

SHE WAKES UP IN SPACE.

Starry Eyed does not ease you into its premise. One moment Aurora is living a successful, grounded life on Earth, and the next she is staring at her planet through a window, forced to confront the possibility that she is not who she thought she was. The opening shift from familiar to cosmic is sharp and gripping, and it sets the tone for a story that rarely slows down.

What makes the book stand out is not just the alien politics or star systems, but Aurora herself. She is stubborn, loyal, and deeply attached to her adoptive parents. Even when confronted with revelations about her origins and her power, she clings to her humanity. That emotional anchor keeps the sweeping galactic stakes from feeling distant.

The universe the author builds is imaginative and layered, blending advanced space travel, interstellar hierarchies, and mythic undertones into something that feels big and cinematic. There is danger, tension, reluctant alliances, and slow-burn connection threaded throughout.

This feels like the launch of a much larger saga. If you want high stakes sci-fi with heart, strong character focus, and a heroine who refuses to be reduced to a prophecy, Starry Eyed is worth the ride.

Starry Eyed is a heartfelt and engaging story that blends emotion, connection, and a sense of wonder into an enjoyable read.

What stood out most to me was the tone of the story. There’s a softness to the narrative that makes the emotional moments feel genuine and easy to connect with.

The characters help carry the story, and their journey adds depth and meaning as everything unfolds. Watching their relationships develop keeps the story interesting and relatable.

For me, this lands at 4 ⭐ because the story was enjoyable and emotionally engaging, though there were a few moments where additional detail could have made certain scenes even stronger.

This is a 4 ⭐ for me because:

• the emotional tone feels sincere and relatable
• the characters add depth to the narrative
• the story flows in an engaging way
• the overall journey is enjoyable

Soft. Emotional. Engaging.

Read this book if you like:

• emotional romance
• character-driven stories
• heartfelt and reflective narratives
• stories with a gentle tone

Arc review
Aurora’s life is flipped alllllll kinds of upside down, when she is kidnapped from Earth and finds out she’s the long lost survivor of a since-destroyed alien race.

This fast-paced, visual story started slowly for me. I had trouble getting through the first 2 parts (this book is broken into 3 parts), but part 3 really turned it around from being a dnf for me.

There was a scene where characters were described as returning to Aurora, but a paragraph ago, they were still together, hands clasped, with no mention of one of them having walked away. Jumpy narration, etc. I picked up on 2 of these occurrences by 60%.

Once we hit part 3, it felt like things were finally starting to pick up, and the writing also seemed to be keeping pace with the story/events happening. It was very much like watching a movie adaptation in my head.

I had developed some theories early on, including about the love interest. I had secretly been rooting for Izar since the beginning, and was so happy at how the final scenes played out!

This was a decent debut for the author. I’m undecided yet if I’ll continue reading the series, but I’m open to it!

Starry Eyed was such a fast paced enjoyable read. Short, fast paced, it is a perfect read for when you need an in-between read with an intriguing story!
The best part? It's A SCI-FI STORY, SET IN SPACE WITH GREEK MYTHOLOGY REFERENCES AND ALIENS!!
I absolutely how these mythological covertly peaked here and there from the names of the galaxy to the monsters, and how the writer tied it in with human history!! Packed with twists and turns, an interesting power system, a world beyond our galaxy, and a dash of betrayals, this was such a fun.
Can't wait to see how the Galaxia universe expands!!!

If you’re looking for an adventure with a strong and spunky female lead, you’ve come to the right place! Aurora is no damsel in distress, traveling through Galaxia with a mission and some loyal companions. Sands’ descriptive language and syntax kept me both interested and wanting a movie to come out to see if all the descriptions in my head were correct! I wish I had more time with the novel because as the chapters dwindled, I was already looking forward to a sequel to hear more about Auroa’s adventures. Great adventure, a true page-turner, I can’t wait for the second Galaxia novel!!!

Starry Eyed follows Aurora through her journey as she is abducted by aliens and is thrust into an adventure she could never have imagined was possible. During her travels, she begins to harness her true power and discovers that her alien origin places her among beings of more power than she could begin to understand.

I was intrigued and captivated by the imagination brought to life in this book. So many new creatures and powers await. I cannot wait for the opportunity to read the next chapter in Aurora’s adventure.

A fast, edge-of-your-seat sci-fi adventure with Greek mythology woven into the lore. Aurora’s journey of discovering who she really is was captivating, and the constant tension around Izar and Andrin kept me hooked. Closed-door romance, epic worldbuilding, and a cliffhanger that made me need the next book immediately.

This book was a page turner! An easy read that makes you want to keep going until the next chapter. Heavily plot driven. I loved the references to greek mythology and loved that the main character was a strong female that took matters into her own hands, despite all of the challenges that faced her. I thought the romance was predictable at first but loved the twist at the end! Despite not being my go-to genre, I couldn’t put this book down. Overall a great read if you’re looking for a fast paced sci-fi and interested in supporting an independent author.
