Really enjoyed this series! Relatable characters and strong, healthy relationships + these books are written with love and care. Highly recommend. ❤️

This book is a no spice on page surprise pregnancy and best friends to more tropes. Great, I love those tropes. But as I am reading along this is annoyed to find that the biological father of the baby unexpectedly recenters the scene after he blocks the heroine from contacting him he is going to be a father. The couple had dated or been engaged for 11 years. Meanwhile her best friend of 16 years has been reliable and supportive of her for throughout the pregnancy. And she gives the baby’s biological another chance…. The best friend tells her he loves her and she is indecisive the whole book about what is best for her.
When she realizes the second chance is not going to work she contacts a lawyer and lets him walk off into the sunset scot free without paying child support. The author’s writing is very good but I dislike a wishy wash 30 year old heroine. Read The Firefighter’s Bride by this author. It is a much better plot with a steady female main character.

really good finale
While I think I like the first two books better, this book was necessary for completing the whole fire station family, of which Owen was a very large part. It was sad to think the two main characters had to wait so long to figure out what they really meant to each other, but it was also satisfying that a good guy (and gal) got the opportunity.
I do like how this group of firefighters became such an important part of each of their lives. Each one so unique but so integral to filling out their “made” family. Sweet, inspiring and comfortably charming!

Second book in series and second book by this author.
The author is not my fav. I gave the author a second chance but, in this book again she writes with too much thought “in their head” conversation to themself. Paragraphs worth. I started skimming and wasn’t a fan of the h. Another thing I noticed was that when the h water broke (home alone) and puts bread in oven….. then comes back home next day after delivering baby. That’s a big mistake on editor.

May 24, 2026I liked this series, but there needs to be a serious editorial overhaul. Several mistakes in each book, responses to statements that were never said, repeated phrasing pages apart that had you questioning if you had paged backward on your e-reader, calling a baby by a particular name before it was named and then naming it several paragraphs later. Just silly stuff that should have been caught.

cute fast read
Nice short romance book. Straight to the point of the story. I loved how grace found her voice in the end and never gave up on her dreams. Owen was a nice guy who saw that he didn’t have to choose life or work and that he could have both. I love how they discovered they loved each other. In the end was very good.

I ready all three books in this series. After the ashes. I loved each one. Each one of the books had a moment where I teared up while reading the book. I really enjoy reading a series where the characters are like a family and are there for each other.

Fantastic series
All three books were fantastic. The author did a great job of adding just the right thing at the right time. There is lots of excitement with twists and turns to keep you on your toes. I recommend these book to everyone. Great job of writing.

Ammetto di non aver letto la trama visto quanto ero curiosa dal libro precedente ma ciò che ho letto è stato inaspettato.
È stato più un libro di crescita personale per Owen che altro ma è stato molto bello capire e leggere la sua crescita e come la sua presenza con Grace è sempre stata costante e un’amicizia sincera che con il tempo si è trasformata in di più.
La vita di Grace non è stata facile soprattutto per
Come è stata mollata e per come ha dovuto affrontare il dopo ma Owen era sempre con lei finché non ha capito cosa dovesse fare lui per sé e lei per loro.
Ho adorato tutto.
Piccolo problema c’è stato di nuovo qualche errore temporale di scrittura ma mi sono innamorata di questa famiglia di pompiere per non dargli comunque un buon voto
