A book that pulls you in!
This story opens with a heartbreaking backstory for the FMC. She’s lived such a hard life that you can’t help but feel for her—nothing ever seems to come easy, and her luck is consistently awful. All she truly wants is to be loved and appreciated, which makes her journey even more emotional to follow.
As the story unfolds, it turns into a rollercoaster of emotions. You genuinely don’t know who you want her to end up with, and that tension keeps you hooked. Every twist pulls you in deeper.
I can’t wait to see where this badass character ends up. Will it be with one of the MMCs… or maybe more than one? Who knows—but I’m completely locked in and ready for the ride.

I enjoyed this book. The trio of men are written so distinctly that you can’t help but love all 3. The FMC has such a strong resilience throughout the book. I admire her strength. The journey of the MMC is written so well. The book takes twists and turns to keep one guessing.

Amazing book love the fresh ideas and the main characters chemistry is hot. And I can't wait for book 2. The magic development is flawless. I want to see what happens to the dragons and what powers she does possess. Definitely a must read

Bound by flame was absolutely amazing. There was so much emotion that came with reading this book, I did tear up a few times from a few of the the chapters and you feel the emotions from the characters and there was definitely loyalty. And to see loyalty and such a strong bond between these character is amazing. You feel love, the feeling of longing and the pain and wanting to protect someone with everything you have. It was like you could relate to the characters in a way. This book was written perfectly. I was hooked within the first 3 chapters. I couldn't put the book down so much. I finished it in two days, which I was very surprised. Bound by flame had me wanting to more, had my emotions all over the place. I really loved and enjoyed this book. I am so excited to continue this story. Can't wait to read the second book.

I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS BOOK! The characters are amazing and so are the settings. Lyri is so precious! She gets mistreated by her own family, but I love a found family. It warms my heart that she did find good people in her life. She is an active learner and makes herself strong. Which I adore.
I really admire that it explains the pain of absence and how it resurfaces as we go through it as well.. For the one we love and how it never truly fades. We just tuck it away if possible.
She gets dealt so many rough cards but never gives up and makes the best out of the situations. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
I hope Nyla and the Guild leader get imprisoned.

What a fantastic introduction into this world! It was extremely well paced, and I just couldn't stop reading as it had me hooked by the first chapter.
All the characters were very well described and loveable, even those we only knew for a short amount of time and I sincerely hope many of them return to support the main characters in the following books!
Our FMC was so well described and I found myself feeling so protrctive and proud of her progress and growth as though she was MY best friend. One of the best growths ive read and I am so excited to see her develop further and really show her gentle strength. ( I can totally understand where all those dragons were coming from protecting our sweet girl!!)
Now onto the boys and I dont even know where to begin!!! I absolutely loved the dynamic between the three and that pure loyal devotion to one another but also to how they treated Lyrielle as well, it was such a lovely experience to see such a positive platonic love develop.
Col... no words. All I can say is I NEED more Col POV in book 2 because that man YEARNS and I'm so here for it!!! The different POVs were written so well and you could hear the difference in the narrative. Id love to see more characters input in book 2 as well.
About 1.5 🌶 but I can see book 2 being sizzling and I am so so so excited to see what lies ahead for Col and Lyri!

Oh how I yearn for more of Coll and Lyrielle! They're so beautiful together. And more of my glorious Titorn please, he's so adorable!
The author really did a marvellous job at writing characters who are easy to love (and some easy to hate). Titorn and Ifan being my personal favs, they're both sweethearts.
The story was perfectly paced, neither boring nor too much at once. The calm moments permitted growth for the characters and their relationships, which helped a lot with learning to know and love them. As for the more eventful moments, they served the plot perfectly well.
Dragons? A slow burn romance? A deep trio bromance? A war? Magical contracts and mysterious powers? AND an actual good plot that makes sense? All checked!
The author did a wonderful job at creating a captivating story woven with lots of feels, mystery and a web of relationships, some complex, some the cutest I've ever seen.
It reads itself so easily and leaves you craving for more.
I can't wait to read the next book and see what will happen to the three dragons and Lyrielle. See more of her and Coll together and all of them as a team. I'll be waiting for the following part of the adventure in Dragonis!

I love that this book starts off with enemies to lovers vibes, though the main characters always protect and take care of each other.
The main character was fantastic, strong and kind despite the horrible way she grew up.
The story kept a very good pace, with information presented as needed. There were so many good tidbits popped into the story that the author will surely give more information on as the story progresses. Plot wise this story was very easy to follow with not too much information being thrown at the reader at once.
I'm really curious about the true history behind the dragons and how that's going to impact their future.
Also hoping we see more of some of the "secondary" characters like Jase, Aelys, Ifan, and Kalel. And for more interactions with Titorn, Valeyrios, and Lyrielle.
Extremely curious to see how the relationships play out between Lyrielle, Coll, Ifan, Jase, Kalel, Titorn, and Valerios.

The world building pulls you straight in and refuses to let go. Everything feels vivid, intense, and just chaotic enough to keep you fully locked in.
The FMC? Iconic. She starts at rock bottom and just keeps fighting like she has something to prove to the universe. And honestly, she wins. I loved her, I rooted for her, I would absolutely make questionable decisions alongside her.
The relationships? So good. The men, the friendships, the found family vibes… it all adds to the emotional chaos in the best way.
And the mystery? The author really said “here’s a crumb, figure it out” and I ate it up every single time.
That ending had me staring at the page like I just got personally attacked. I need book two immediately because I have to know what happened next.

Completely and utterly hooked. I could not put this book down once I started it. I loved the slow burn, the tension, the yearning. The world building was perfect, I felt like I was right there with Lyri, the detail and her feelings coming through the pages so easily, Ashley's writing is beautiful.
I really enjoyed exploring her relationships with her three dragons. Their relationships are all unique and equally beautiful.

This was a surprisingly enjoyable read—even without much actual dragon action. The story leans into a slow-burn pace, focusing more on character growth and relationships than spice. Lyrielle starts off a bit frustrating, but her development throughout the book really pays off, and by the end she feels much stronger and more compelling.
The dynamic between her and the three men is a highlight, with each relationship feeling unique and meaningful. While I wish there were more detailed scenes and emotional connection moments, the foundation is strong and clearly building toward something bigger. Overall, an engaging start to what feels like it could become a really solid series.

This book will suck you in and it is a page turner! I love the slow burn relationship between Coll and Lyri. She goes from being sold and thought of as just a possession to being loved and adored by 3 dragons who would die for her. It shows you that family isn’t always who you are born into but who you choose to surround yourself with. She is finally able to grow and find herself and in the process has found her fated mate and brothers along the way. I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

Loved this story! It started a little slow but I appreciate it for the world building and background it gives! The story was amazing and watching the FMC grow and transform was truly wonderful! It had everything I loved in a romantasy! Slow burn, magic, dragons, and mmcs that will quickly become some of your favorite people!

What a great journey this book takes you on! Lyrielle’s relationship with her 3 dragons are all varied and I like that it isn’t insta love, the bonds take time to develop. I couldn’t put this book down and devoured it in less than a day. Can’t wait for book number 2.

I have no words to accurately describe how much I love this book.
Literally so good. I feel like it lit my soul on fire in the best possible way. There are SOOO many quotes that made me 🥹. The plot is so good!!! The characters are developed in such a unique individual way. I love all the different dynamics we got to see. I can’t wait for book two.

I received a free ARC of Bound by Flame from the author. This review was completely voluntary, and receiving a free copy did not influence my rating or opinion in any way. Everything here reflects my own thoughts, opinions, and personal reading experience.
I knew pretty quickly that Lyrielle was going to be the reason I stayed invested in this one. She starts the story with almost no control over her own life. She has been magically bound to her parents since childhood, worked nearly to death, and taught that her worth depends on what she can do for everyone else. Even when that particular nightmare finally ends, freedom does not exactly arrive the way she expects it to.
What I liked most about Lyrielle was that none of that made her passive. She runs when she sees an opportunity, argues when she disagrees, questions the people making decisions for her, learns to defend herself, and keeps adapting every time her circumstances change. By the end of the book, she has come a long way from the woman we meet at the beginning, but the growth feels natural rather than like she suddenly became a completely different character.
Then we have Coll, Titorn, and Valeyrios, and thankfully they all felt different enough that I never had trouble keeping them straight. Titorn is probably the easiest to trust, Valeyrios has this quieter way of looking after Lyrielle, and Coll is very obviously the difficult one. Naturally, Coll is also the one with the strongest pull toward her because apparently I have learned nothing from my collection of fictional red flags.
What interested me about Coll and Lyrielle was that their connection starts becoming important long before either of them really understands what is happening. There is attraction, but the book does not rush straight into sex. Instead, we get the strange comfort she finds in his warmth, his growing inability to stay away from her, and this feeling that something much bigger is happening between them beneath the surface.
I appreciated the slower build because Lyrielle’s history makes trust complicated enough without immediately throwing her into a physical relationship. Their circumstances are already morally messy, considering the dragons originally buy her with every intention of eventually making money from her, and the book does not completely let us forget that she knows exactly what her position is.
That was also one of the areas where I wanted a little more. I do not need morally perfect characters, but because Lyrielle has spent her entire life being controlled, bought, sold, and told where she belongs, I wanted a little more acknowledgment of how much that affects the relationship developing between her and Coll. The possessive dragon thing absolutely works for me, but with Lyrielle especially, I need the difference between being claimed and actually being allowed to choose to matter.
Outside the romance, I really liked the fantasy side of the story. The evalunes, the dragons losing their ability to transform, the corrupted Dragans, the war, and whatever is happening with Lyrielle’s abilities gave me plenty to wonder about. The later half especially picked up once the world started opening up and the bigger pieces began falling into place.
The pacing was probably my biggest issue. The first half occasionally lingered a little too long on everyday details like traveling, cleaning, clothing, meals, rooms, and Lyrielle experiencing basic comforts for the first time. Some of those moments were genuinely important because they showed just how deprived her life had been, but there were enough similar scenes that I started wanting the story to move forward a little faster.
Once it does, though, things get much more interesting. I also really liked Lyrielle’s relationship with Ifan because it gave her something important outside of the romance. Their connection made me care about her almost immediately, and I am definitely not done worrying about him.
The ending leaves a lot unresolved, so definitely go into this knowing it is the beginning of a larger story. There are major questions still hanging over Lyrielle, Coll, the dragons, the war, and the magic surrounding all of them. Personally, I finished curious enough that I would absolutely pick up the next book, although the stopping point may make cliffhanger-haters slightly homicidal.
Overall, Bound by Flame gave me a strong FMC I could root for, three very different dragons, a slow-building romance, interesting magic, and enough unanswered questions to keep me curious about where the series is going. I wanted a little tighter pacing in the first half and a bit more emotional weight around the ownership and freedom side of Lyrielle’s story, but I genuinely enjoyed it and definitely want to know what happens next.

She runs when she sees an opportunity, argues when she disagrees, questions the people making decisions for her, learns to defend herself, and keeps adapting every time her circumstances change. By the end of the book, she has come a long way from the woman we meet at the beginning, but the growth feels natural rather than like she suddenly became a completely different character.
Then we have Coll, Titorn, and Valeyrios, and thankfully they all felt different enough that I never had trouble keeping them straight. Titorn is probably the easiest to trust, Valeyrios has this quieter way of looking after Lyrielle, and Coll is very obviously the difficult one. Naturally, Coll is also the one with the strongest pull toward her because apparently I have learned nothing from my collection of fictional red flags.
What interested me about Coll and Lyrielle was that their connection starts becoming important long before either of them really understands what is happening. There is attraction, but the book does not rush straight into sex. Instead, we get the strange comfort she finds in his warmth, his growing inability to stay away from her, and this feeling that something much bigger is happening between them beneath the surface.
I appreciated the slower build because Lyrielle’s history makes trust complicated enough without immediately throwing her into a physical relationship. Their circumstances are already morally messy, considering the dragons originally buy her with every intention of eventually making money from her, and the book does not completely let us forget that she knows exactly what her position is.
That was also one of the areas where I wanted a little more. I do not need morally perfect characters, but because Lyrielle has spent her entire life being controlled, bought, sold, and told where she belongs, I wanted a little more acknowledgment of how much that affects the relationship developing between her and Coll. The possessive dragon thing absolutely works for me, but with Lyrielle especially, I need the difference between being claimed and actually being allowed to choose to matter.
Outside the romance, I really liked the fantasy side of the story. The evalunes, the dragons losing their ability to transform, the corrupted Dragans, the war, and whatever is happening with Lyrielle’s abilities gave me plenty to wonder about. The later half especially picked up once the world started opening up and the bigger pieces began falling into place.
The pacing was probably my biggest issue. The first half occasionally lingered a little too long on everyday details like traveling, cleaning, clothing, meals, rooms, and Lyrielle experiencing basic comforts for the first time. Some of those moments were genuinely important because they showed just how deprived her life had been, but there were enough similar scenes that I started wanting the story to move forward a little faster.
Once it does, though, things get much more interesting. I also really liked Lyrielle’s relationship with Ifan because it gave her something important outside of the romance. Their connection made me care about her almost immediately, and I am definitely not done worrying about him.
The ending leaves a lot unresolved, so definitely go into this knowing it is the beginning of a larger story. There are major questions still hanging over Lyrielle, Coll, the dragons, the war, and the magic surrounding all of them. Personally, I finished curious enough that I would absolutely pick up the next book, although the stopping point may make cliffhanger-haters slightly homicidal.
Overall, Bound by Flame gave me a strong FMC I could root for, three very different dragons, a slow-building romance, interesting magic, and enough unanswered questions to keep me curious about where the series is going. I wanted a little tighter pacing in the first half and a bit more emotional weight around the ownership and freedom side of Lyrielle’s story, but I genuinely enjoyed it and definitely want to know what happens next.

I absolutely devoured Bound by Flame by Ashley Miller. This book had everything I love in fantasy romance: dragon shifters, dangerous magic, forced proximity, intense chemistry, emotional tension, and men who would burn the world down for the woman they desire.
Lyrielle is thrown into a brutal and dangerous journey alongside three completely irresistible MMCs — and every single one of them stole a piece of my soul.
Coll is dark, brooding, controlled, and absolutely feral beneath the surface. The magical contract forcing him to sleep beside Lyrielle every night creates some of the most delicious tension I’ve read in a long time. The way he fights his desire for her while slowly unraveling? Perfection.
Titorn is the emotional heart of the group — patient, gentle, dependable, and warm in a way that makes you melt. He balances the darker energy perfectly and made me fall for him almost immediately.
And then there’s Valeyrios: cold, disciplined, ruthless during training, yet quietly protective in ways that hit so much harder than grand gestures. His hidden softness absolutely destroyed me.
What makes this story even better is the dragon lore. These men are dragon shifters cursed to remain trapped in human form for three hundred years, and the moment Lyrielle accidentally awakens the first sign of dragon scales on Coll? I was OBSESSED. The tension, the mystery, the longing, the slow unraveling of the curse — it was addictive.

The story follows Lyrielle as she goes from a slave at an inn to bought property of three dragon shifter hunters who wish to take her back to their guild then send her to the frontlines of war.
I enjoyed the relationship between the hunters and how each of their feelings for Lyrielle blossomed in different ways. I appreciated how the shifters weren’t invincible and how the mfc didn’t go from being inexperienced to suddenly being an amazing power wielding warrior.
Though I enjoyed the authors writing style and the plot, I feel like there were some scenes that should have been put on paper. For example the bath scene and some of the mfc’s training at the war camp. It would’ve been nice to witness how she connects with her new friends and how she becomes one of the best trainees at the camp.
Overall, the story was engaging and I read it in one day. I can’t wait for book two!

I really enjoyed this book. Lyrielle is the MFC and she is bound by contract to work for her parents. When three dragons meet her, the life she knew changes forever. I loved that Lyrielle becomes stronger and smarter as the book starts. I didn’t really like her at first: she tried running away about five minutes after she leaves her parents, and didn’t even make it far. I didn’t think she was clever at all. But as the story continues, she learns more and has so much character growth. I really loved her by the end of the book. I love the ambiguity behind what her power really is. I can’t wait to find out in the next book what she really can do.
I also loved her relationship between the three men. I wasn’t sure at first who the MMC would be because she had a different friendship with all of them. Each of them was special to her, and I loved who her “fated mate” turned out to be. I really think her friendships with them were my favorite part. I really enjoyed this book. The book at first started a little slow for me. However, it picked up very quickly and I could not put it down! This book is great if you love fantasy and dragon shifters! It's told in first person with a dual POV with very little spice. I would say 0.5-1/5 level of spice. This is a slow burn novel so I'm thinking and hoping the next book with have more! 🤞🏻

I didn’t realize I could like a book about dragons with not on dragon in shifted form. (But that is part of the story) the FMC has such a traumatic past and throughout you see that she just wants acceptance. I enjoyed the world the author created and the duel POV in first person. The connections with the MMCs are beginning but I can’t wait to read more about their relationships as this book series continues, maybe they are fated….However this book is building to the second where the spice and shifting seem to be developing. A fresh, emotional take on the dragon shifter trope, following Lyrielle, a young woman sold into servitude, and the three cursed dragon hunters who are meant to sell her but find themselves unable to let her go. Told in dual first person POV, it's a genuine slow burn with very low spice, so don't expect much heat yet, this one is really about the emotional journey and the barely there sparks between Lyrielle and the three men. The FMC's traumatic backstory makes for quite the emotional rollercoaster, and while a few things felt underexplained, the world the author built is engaging and easy to get pulled into. The connections with all three dragons are just beginning to form, but the groundwork being laid left me very curious where things go, especially with hints of a fated bond.

The first two chapters of this book had me frustrated at the over wordy style of writing. My biggest pet peeve is when books use lots of big words to sound clever and smart but in reality it just over describes and frustrates readers when something could be described in half the words. Thankfully by chapter three this style of writing ends and it becomes a much more pleasant read. The book is fast paced and easy to read with some unique character powers. The enemies to lovers slow burn trope is strong and kept me binging the book in one afternoon.

This book was overall a 4.5 stars for me. I devoured it in just 2 days.
This story follows the life of lyrell and it made my heart tighten so many times. The emotional engine of the book is great she suffered so much. The story is very interesting and sucks you in pretty quickly as it is pretty fast paced.
This book is for those looking for strong MMC and found family.
The only downside for me was the writing it felt too fast paced at times but maybe that is just a personal thing.
Anyhow the evalune were so interesting!
