I jumped into this book in mid 2012. I haven’t finished it but I think it’s a good book. It gives quick ideas about data analysis while giving quite a useful database sample (found on the companion website) that a SQL learner can play with. It’s more for analytics.

Based on the fact that I have too many books to cover as of now (Jan 2014), I may never finish this book though...

Although I use this book primarily for learning some statistics, some of the examples of SQL query can be quite useful. Overall, I think the book is quite easy to master, and may provide some insight into CRM data analytics

This is a thorough, clearly written book that anyone should use as a reference to refresh data modelling and analytic models. It is not a book to read from cover to cover. It is rather a resource to keep by your computer, or in your hard drive in virtual format. I liked the clarity and thoroughness of the information presented in it.
